“Home Depot has been nothing but disappointing for years now. Over a year ago, I had three installers refuse to deliver a refrigerator. Fortunately, Lowe's is an option and they delivered with two installers. This past couple of weeks has been a nightmare trying to correct my address, taking no less than six attempts only to see my return pick up scheduled for the wrong address. I am DONE with Home Depot.”
“Is everyone aware that Home Depot has decided to support DEI?
If that’s what they want to support then we are no longer their customers.
Don’t mess with our children and our grandchildren. Get back to godly values and you’ll get your customers back.”
“Delivery company damaged a brand new floor. Home Depot subcontracted the delivery to a second company and neither one will take responsibility for the damage. Shameful .”
“We ordered a garment rack online. Package received was smashed in on top and hastily sloppily retaped. After opening, my husband tried to put item together but found parts missing. It looked like this was a return, repacked and sent out. I called the manufacturer for the missing parts and requested fed-ex but was refused since their policy is only USPS. I will never buy from a company that thinks it’s ok to send out returned merchandise as new.”
“I was at Home Depot today at 50 red maple rd Richmond Hill Ontario
I was looking for a replacement part for my faucet
2 males served me. Both of them are lazy and don’t seem like to help. Not even looking further, they kept saying they cannot find it and they don’t know what it is.
I insisted that they keep looking as I got that 3 months ago
Eventually I got the product
But I would say it’s terrible customer service. They don’t want to work and they don’t even want to try
I hope this does not reflect on the other employees”
“Terrible service and response to any inquiries, AI only, not able to speak to a person regarding a product or service over the phone. Frustrating as eventually the AI hangs up if cannot understand your inquiry or question.”
“Home Depot refuses to deliver products ordered online despite advertising delivery across Canada. Unlike other companies that will forward products to a central location for delivery, home depot will not deliver a product unless there is stock in a store less than 30km away. False advertising and horrible customer service.”
“I recently used the Home Depot credit card for some purchases, and my experience was a nightmare. Each time I called their credit card customer service, I encountered unhelpful representatives who were more interested in repeating the same information rather than addressing my actual concerns. It was frustrating and disappointing to deal with grumpy people who wouldn't listen or try to understand the issue I was facing. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend the Home Depot credit card to others. It was one of the worst interactions I've had with a credit service.”
“i am disgusted with your company. i placed an online order #233409656, paid via paypal, then home depot cancelled the order without providing a reason, and sent an email to advise of the cancellation. what you did NOT do is cancel/void the pending charge with paypal, so now my visa has a reduced credit availability of the order amount of $789.87. papal has indicated they keep/hold pending authorizations for 29 days. if you intend to block this credit on my visa for 29 days via paypal, there will be legal action taken against home depot, as well as a great deal of negative publicity via social media, a complaint through the better business bureau, as well as through the Ontario Ministry of Consumer Protection- get this fixed immediately - i spent almost 40 minutes on hold earlier today trying to reach someone about tis, nobody ever came on the line”
“Just a horrendous experience ordering online. First, don't for a second believe the "in stock" or expected delivery date. They frequently don't have any control over either of those things. In my case, the tool I ordered from them, because they said it was in stock and would be delivered several days before my other usual supplier, was not in stock - it was coming from a vendor - and it was not going to be delivered by the date stated on the site, but several days later - after the job I needed it for, and even after my other supplier guaranteed I would receive it. Customer service, what a joke. Several hours in online chat and then on the phone with an "expeditor agent" - who told me the tool would not even be shipped for a couple of weeks, and then told me that the order would be cancelled as I then requested. They would not even have the tool shipped overnight to make up for all the inconvenience - they said they don't do that. When an issue arises in my plumbing business, I do whatever I can - within reason of course - to make the situation right. HD made no effort whatsover.
After all that, the very next day, my order tracking showed that the tool was being shipped and would be delivered, not several weeks later (as the supposed supervisor said), but by the (still late) date the first customer rep told me. So, not weeks later, order not cancelled, and order still late - and absolutely no customer service to speak of.”
“Please don’t buy appliances from Home Despot online - they will lie to you about the delivery and completely waste your time. On July 7th I ordered a Maytag dishwasher through their website, with haul-away of the old dishwasher, and received a confirmed delivery date of Saturday, July 13th - I waited almost week for delivery just so I wouldn't have to miss a half-day's work for their "4-hour window". On the evening of July 12th I received notification that the delivery window would be between 12:30pm and 4:30pm on July 13th. At around 10:30pm on July 13th, I received notification that the delivery window would be between 3:45 and 4:45pm, so at 2:30pm I removed the old dishwasher for haul-away. At 4:45pm there was still no delivery. At 4:48 pm I received a voicemail from the delivery person that the dishwasher would be delivered in "25 to 30 minutes". At 5:45 pm there was still no delivery, so around 6:00pm I started calling the number from the voicemail and eventually got an answer, where the delivery person assured me that "the delivery was definitely on its way, would be there soon." At 6:45pm I started calling the delivery number again, but only got voicemail and no more answers, so I called Home Depot's support line, where I was told that the delivery had been rescheduled for July 17th, and I would be contacted later for the time window. I told them that this was unacceptable, and that I had been lied to by both their website and their delivery person multiple times, and they offered me a measly $150 refund on my $1000 dishwasher, for wasting 6 hours of my time plus an additional half-day of work if I actually wanted it to be delivered. My wife called HD support well, only to be told that the dishwasher was NEVER ON THE TRUCK in the first place, so we spent 6 hours listening to their lies and wasting our time for nothing. Not to mention the time needed to re-install the old dishwasher, and then uninstall it again. So I cancelled the order and also closed my Home Depot account. They lied to me multiple times about the delivery, they wasted 6 hours of my time, and so they don't deserve my business and they will never have it again.”
“The package was originally supposed to be delivered on 7/8/24. It got delayed till 7/9/24. It then said it was out for delivery on 7/9/24. I then got an update which said the driver attempted to deliver it but I wasn't home to accept it, which is a complete fabrication seeing as the package did not need a signature to be delivered. In fact, on 7/9/24, I saw an Ontrac van passing by my house at approximately 2PM. I did not see the driver attempt to deliver or even get out of the van. I then contacted customer service and they were unable to help me. On 7/10/24, I was talking with customer service for 2 and half hours. While I was talking to them, I went back on the Home Depot site and saw the same product that I had bought, and it said that if I ordered it within the next 2 hours, I would gt it by the next day. Per the customer agent Bridget, she said that the same product was showing on her end, but that it would take 2 days to deliver. I told her that is false advertising and she told me that Home Depot is a reputable company and that she would bring a case to the IT department about it. I finally got my product on 7/10/24. I then got an email on 7/11/24, stating that my product was delivered on 7/9/24, Another instance of false advertising? Per Bridget, she said I will be able to get compensation due to these circumstances. Because of this nightmare, I will never order from Home Depot again, in fact I will tell all my friends to never order from Home Depot.”
“Home Depot has chosen to remove their check out tills and go to "self checkouts". This is costing people their jobs and income. Companies who make decisions like this do so only for financial gain, costing people their jobs which in turn affects our economy. I for one am boycotting Home Depot and will give their competitors my business. I hope others will follow”
“Needed a service call for an appliance purchased and delivered less than 48 hours after delivery. Was on chat with representative for an hour, it was at least 10 minutes between replies, obviously rep was working many calls at the same time. Rep offered to schedule a service call, and did so. Service never called me, nor did they show up. Just be aware that if you buy an appliance from Home Depot, you are on your own for service.”
“I went in to purchase a water filter for Samsung fridge she. They don’t last long
$55.00 too expensive
I went online to AliExpress and ordered the identical one $18.91 delivered free.”
“I called your stores numerous times looking for electric power washer. Your automated online service sent me to 5 different departments from electric parts to rentals. Afte 2o kina of calling I got tired and went to Rona. Home Depot online service is the worse I have ever experienced. I wi never use it again. Compared to Rona online they would be 8 and Home Depot 1.”
