“I bought fridge from Ajax home depot, the sales guy said while moving the fridge movers will relocate old fridge or take away as I decide at the time of delivery.
Mover delivered the fridge and realized that I am not giving away my old fridge they denied to move the old single door fridge to basement, saying that it is too big to move without removing the door and went away. I asked them to take new fridge back as there was complete mess in living area. Home depot customer service scheduled to come again after 5 days to move and until then I have stay with al this mess. If sales guy told me that movers will take fridge away and not relocating inside house I would not have bought fridge from them. For m bad guests had to witness the mess at home due to all fridges and food stuff held around the living area. Many of my friends told the had similar bad experience with home depot orders. Home depot customer service did not even consider compensation for my food item getting spoiled and my effort too keep fridges disconnected and keeping defrosted .more over I had to take day off to accommodate their delivery timings.”
“Your appliance warranty is horrendous, no service, call was answered in Jamaica, no show of repair company, lots of scam emails demanding money before attending. Not happy at all, especially after paying for extended warranty on a fride I bought 2 years ago.”
“Bought an item October 11. Guaranteed delivery October 18th. Never even shipped. Showed up on my credit card statement 7 weeks later. No communication what so ever and no refund until I spent 40 minutes of my day talking to a bot to fight for my money back. Wonder how many people don't or don't know they were charged that gives HD free profits without any contract fulfilled. They need to donate all that money to charity instead of rich owners pockets. Order number was 0236389428”
“The staff of Home Depot in Dartmouth Crossing lied to me about Ridgid tools having a lifetime warranty. After buying over $2000 worth of Ridgid tools, the battery operated circular saw died on it's 2-3 use. When I brought it back to the store expecting it to be exchanged, the way I was led to believe, I found out that it is not a true warranty, like Mastercraft had, but it is a service agreement, valid only if the tool is registered, something I wasn't told I had to do. Now, because I haven't registered it, being unaware it was necessary, I have over $2000 worth of tools with only a 3 year repair warranty, and since the saw I just bought was manufactured in 2022, I only have a 1 year warranty it it. When I explained what I was told by the tool department staff, the manager told me I wasn't the first person who told him that, but that it sucks to be me (not his exact words), because even though I was told incorrect information, I should have read the owners manual. So much for being able to trust the store associates. Do your due diligence dealing with these guys.”
“I returned a couple of items.
One I had receipt. I returned 3 feet of baseboard. The rep said I bought only 9 ft. o
OK,you have the 13 ft T 8.95 per ft. Fine, I didn’t make the mistake. Just give me credit for the 9 ft. They acted as if I was a crook.
I returned a curb thingy. It is worth $110.00 plus tax. I couldn,t find the receipt. As Home Depot don,t tell the name of what you are buying, just funny looking numbers and letters appear on the receipts. However I gave the clerk a pile of receipts to go through. She said it didn’t,t appear on my card. I know I definitely bought it there.
They gave me a credit card to use in future for the amount.
They asked for my drivers licence id and told me this is a warning. WHAT.?
What for. I’m not a crook, I didn’t steal it, I have never stole anything in my life.
Don’t treat me like a crook.
Then as I was walking away, I heard her say to another employee.
: you need to talk to them, as they are making too many mistakes:
The employees make mistakes, and I get on the WARNING LIST.
I had just spent a few thousand dollars in the last month.
No thanks Home Depot”
“Don't get their credit card. I charged $28 on the card, when bill came I paid it in full - but was 3 days late sending it. Cost for late fee $30. So I paid twice what the item was worth. Next time I'll use a regular credit card.”
“1 star - requested delivery - had to cancel delivery as their delivery partners do not deliver inside home. Recd cancellation acknowledgment from Home Depot Office. 2 days later it says it is shipping today. Tried to cancel again through online chat and they were not helpful. Contacted head office to cancel and cannot do that. Delivering today. Ridiculous - now have to take time off work to receive curbside only !@##$$%% - dont use online delivery from 3rd party provider online.”

New
I called Home Depot, asked if they had a 25 foot power snake, I was told they had 25, 50 and 75 foot. Drove down Round 5:13 was told that they didn’t have 25 ft snake and the 50 ft would work. Called a plumber, he tried the 50 ft snake, had problems with the switch and the fittings were too large to fit around the curves in the pipe. I took the snake back around 6:30 by and asked for my money to be refunded, the person I spoke to was very rude, said there wasn’t a problem with the switch, told him I didn’t know, that is what the plumber told me. This person also said that a 50 ft snake wouldn’t work on a kitchen sink, I said then why was I told it would. Mistakes are made which is okay but when I asked for the refund because of
The mistake I don’t think the person had to be so rude. Ended up calling Drain Doctor, if I would have been told that the 50 ft snake wouldn’t work in the first place that would have saved me a lot of time and driving twice to Home
Depot, actually should have been told on the initial phone call at 4:30.”
“In all my days, I've never had the misfortune of giving such a disorganized company my money. I've had my order delayed twice, only given two $50 credits, and on the rearrange delivery date (that I took time off work to be there for to ensure my appliance wasn't damaged by the rain), I had to call to find out that my appliance wasn't even shipped from the manufacturer yet. I was not given an update or notice that the appliance wasn't showing up on the already delayed delivery date. I will never shop here again. I've made sure to let all my family and friends know to never consider getting anything from Home Depot. Your appliance won't show up, and customer service won't be able to help you.”
“The worst delivery service I have ever experienced in my life first attempt the truck showed up early across the street and the driver never got out and drove away before my delivery window then said they tried to redeliver while I was working in my front yard (cameras show that was a lie as well) then I was rescheduled for Tuesday delivery but that got changed in their computer but they don’t know who or why so now I have to see if they will deliver next week this is unacceptable”
“The place is so huge that I usually have to leave without important items because I feel like I’ll have a breakdown if I put any more effort into trying to find them. The length of my stay and who knows what else may have attracted a floorwalker who paced me and tried to humiliate me over something I had no control over, not to mention completely unrelated to “loss prevention”. Many basic items are “unavailable in your area”, and something else I wanted took far longer to be restocked than it should have. I have been going in with an open-top box on a small luggage trolley to put small items in rather than dropping them everywhere; once a cashier came out from behind the counter and went through the box before I could get the stuff out of it. I absolutely hate going in there and will only go if it’s on the way. I only started going semi-regularly because I was told it was a good place to get fasteners. Last time I was in I finally got the elusive out-of-stock item, and now that I have, I’m unlikely to ever go back. Perhaps they should put more resources into helping customers rather than having them followed.”
“I have tried to buy a blind 5 times now, I just need it cut to the right size. I go in, find someone to help get someone paged. And no one comes. They get paged over and over and no one. And the worker and just shrug their shoulders and say I dunno. I spoke with the manager and she didn’t care at all. I guess I will spend my money somewhere else.”
“I was trying to purchase a BBQ for my son who lives in BC. I live in the US. Home Depot informed me that to purchase products from their web site i must have a Canadian credit card. So much for the global marketplace. They accept my CC when i walk into the store but won't allow the CC for online purchases. Makes no sense.”
“Never use Homedepot.com for delivery. Days late, they don’t keep you updated that it’s not coming until next day. Just forget about you and keep you wondering if it will ever be delivered.
We purchased a different item through Lowe’s and their service was above and beyond. Order from Lowe’s instead. You will be treated better and you will actually get your item”
“I am very disappointed with a cashier/customer helper. I was buying a couple of things and I was trying to self-cheque myself. While I was scanning an item I have noticed that the price was not as per label on the shelf - was almost double. I have asked for help and the lady at 99 Cross Avenue she said she can not cancel the transaction - I have to pay for it and then I will return this item. The entire process was very long and unpleasant. That's really ridiculous.”
“False advertising !!!
Don't believe HOME DEPOT delivers for free!!! When you order online, their advertisement is: "Eligible For Free package Delivery Over $35". But that is NOT TRUE!!! Today I tried to order something for which the total cost exceeded $50 (more precisely, over $18 after the claimed $35). But when I wanted to pay by card online, the bill was $50 + tax more, so instead of some $67 (including tax), my bill was over $118. Unheard of!!! In my opinion, this is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT that if you buy over $35 you get free shipping. It's a lie and therefore anyone who encounters this problem should rightly receive free delivery, as it happens in other stores if they set the wrong price by mistake, then you are entitled to the product for free. Be very careful and check your slip properly before pressing the "PAY" button and paying!!!”
“I have never had such an experience - I would not recommend using Home Depot on Line. Placed an order that was supposed to be delivered on the 14th Called them on the 12th to confirm as we had people lined up to help install. I was told yes you will have it on the 14th - I said oh good delivered on a holiday- I was then told the 15, called 15th said the 16th, called 16 said 17, called 17 said 18th called 18th and now being told not sure when I will get it. It has been sitting in Moncton Since the 9th and now in Saint John for the past 2 days 40 min from my house. Called home Depot to Cancel and give me a refund, was told we have to wait for Day & Ross to approve it? Home Depot took my money why does Day & Ross need to approve it. Very Very poor customer service would recommend Home Depot to get a new carrier one that is reliable................Good Luck to anyone who orders on line”
“Worst place to buy fridge, they say it will be delivered October 4. Not here.we needed the fridge today as my other one was not working. guaranteed it would.Food, meat is spoiled $1,000 of free range beef & chicken. Most uneducated and unprofessional staff in my life.”
