“My son borrowed had to borrow a drain auger to unplug my drains yesterday. We were 10mins late returning the equipment on Xmas Eve am and they charged us $10 more - Merry Xmas Home Depot!”
“I received notification on December 18 that my appliances would be delivered on Dec19 between 2:00-6:00. I notified the superintendent of my condominium and she padded and held the elevator. On the 19th I proceeded to empty the refrigerator and freezer in preparation for delivery. At 6:00 pm when I had not received notification or delivery I called customer service, after a 22 min wait on hold I was informed that they were running late and I would have delivery within the hour. At 7:30 pm I again waited on hold for over 25 min. The representative tried unsuccessfully to contact the delivery company. She apologetically suggested I call again in the morning. I then had to replace everything back into the refrigerator and freezer.
This morning I spoke with customer service and they were able to get a date of Dec 22 for my delivery.
My issue is not with customer service, they were extremely helpful and understanding, and tried very hard to contact delivery. My issue is with the lack of communication from the delivery company. The least they could have done was call me to explain. Hopefully I will receive my appliances on Friday🙏🏻

“Home Depot customer support/service has always been terrible and just gets worse with time.
1. They don't answer the phone.
2. They have an auto attachment which forces you to speak. I don't want my voice saved on their data servers. I want to use my keypad.
3. They're website sucks and again forces you to accept cookies which again I don't care to use. Home Depot is all about taking your information and sharing it with others (including the government)!
4. In store, good luck finding staff to actually help you (if they have the knowledge to). If you do find one they typically send you to the other side of the store and hope not to see you again.
5. They don't have everything (understandably) but they are not well stocked on what they do carry.”

“Its not the product, its the service. Home Depot sucks BIG time when it comes to service.
Try calling the store, your call is typically NOT answered and if your call is answered, you are typically "disconnected" or placed on hold for long periods and often transferred to the wrong department... Dealing with Home Depot is usually a horrible experience.
Not only this but their web site forces cookies on your computer, they force you to agree to their terms when placing a review, they force you to speak into their automated calling system (recording and saving your voice for data collection purposes) and they share ALL your data with the government. AVOID Home Depot as much as you can.”
“Very bad experience, poor workmanship with installation of insulation in attic. Caused mould so bad that it spread throughout my home even inside my furnace and duct system.
Finally have a court order (Oct 31 2023) for Home depot to pay for the damages and they are not complying. Damages have cause me financially hardship and health issues due to black mould. I'm taking next steps to enforce the judgment. I do not recommend home depot NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY”
“Had Carpet Cleaning done Nov 6 company they used was Steam Dry and it was really bad. Carpet looked worse than when they started. I contacted them and sent pictures and they came out a 2nd time and still not good. Looks like they used dirty water and left stains. Do not use their services .”

“I purchased a 13” Dewalt planer from the Duncan BC outlet, the woman at the pro counter was very helpful. This went for a s*** after that, first delivery date was Nov. 6-8, when I checked on the 8th the item was still showing as waiting to be picked up. I called Home Depot and got a new delivery date and the name of the company delivering, Day and Ross trucking. Looking at their tracking site it showed it had just been picked up on the 6th, four days later it’s in Burnaby BC and is still there today the 16th. I have contacted both companies and have received a great deal of lip service and not so accurate information. Home Depot did give me a 50.00 gift card for the failure of the delivery Company not delivering on the first date. Now 9 days later still no planer and a line of BS from Day and Ross it is in Nanaimo when their tracking site showed it STILL in Burnaby.
Very disappointed in Home Depot. I will be hard pressed to support their business again.”
“If I could give a lower score than 1 I would, bought washer dryer from Kanata store location, complete with delivery included but cannot get the services just set up lose time at work and the delivery company cancels with excuses. I cannot believe their customer service help line is no help and just does nothing to resolve the issue. So Sad so disappointed with this big box store”

“We purchased carpet and installation from Home Depot many years ago had a terrible experience installers were rude we found out a few years later that they installed the carpet we ordered in the downstairs but the upstairs they installed a cheaper carpet that didn’t match the stairs. The stays comprised of small pieces of carpet patch together and the pattern didn’t match we had to replace the carpet and wanted to use our Home Depot credit card so we decided to give them another chance on the day of the installation no one showed up no one called us it took several days for anyone to get back to us when they did they said it was backordered. we were waiting to list our home and had to be delayed because of Home Depot then when we try to return our purchase of the carpet and installation we had to go to the store several times to get a refund we will never ever ever shop at Home Depot ever again”
“I had a degrading experience at the Home Depot in Stoney Creek On. I was checking out with approx $600 worth of paint and other goods and was treated like a criminal by the associate who mocked and degraded me as I tried to check out. I am sorry I did not walk away and leave all the merchandise. I complained to a manager about the employee. She still works there. It has been my pleasure to bring my business to Lowes where I am treated more respectfully”

I got Gas Water Heater installation and service from Home Depot and very disappointed. This is the last time I use Home Depot Home service.
Home Depot sub-contract to Aire One Heating & Cooling. The service guys are unprofessional and careless. The thing was when he performed the gas line, he did not turn the gas vale off before he cut the pipe. Lucky, the other guy remind him. Otherwise, I don't know what will happen. Just imagine!!!
The second thing is the Home Depot quoted me one way and charged different price which is over $300 more than what we agreed on. We tried to call Home Depot Home Service numerous times, but problem never solved!

“I ordered work gloves online and got the usual estimated 3-4 days for arrival. I text them on day 3 for a status update as there was NO movement. Was told it will be shipped on day 7. I called on day 6 and spoke to agent. She said there is no movement snd she will escalate the issue and i should here back from someone with 48 hours. Within 2 hours i received an email that it was cancelled. What a waste if time. Why have an online system and status tab when it doesnt work. They have no customer service whats so ever. I hope i get my money back. That will be another story”
“Ordered an item online. My credit card was charged ( not a hold)but the item was never sent to me. 5 days later, my card was again charged ( again, not a hold). The item was still not sent to me. I escalated this complaint ( took 3 hours to explain ) and also cancelled my order because I was afraid they would charge my card a third time when they actually shipped the item. Another 5 days later, they have charged my card again, even though I have an email from them confirming I cancelled the order. I am now out almost $500, have no item and they have a case open but don’t give me any updates or refunds. I had to cancel my bank card to stop them from charging me a fourth time.”
“If I could give a 0 I would. My recent experience with the Brampton Great Lakes Home Depot was terrible. The staff in the garden centre don't know what they are doing. You ask for help to load something and no one shows up. Very poor customer service.”
