“We ordered a door. That was shown to be in stock. I was told the window for delivery was 3 weeks now it has been 6 weeks. And my order hasn’t even been picked yet. I’m afraid to order anything else. As it will surely not come in a reasonable time. Back to Rona I go!!”
“While Home Depot themselves are amazing, they really need to do something about their installers! JD tile tried several times to charge me more money and refused to refund what I had already paid when I ended up hiring O’Reilly Renovations, Who did a marvellous job at a third of the price JD Tile tried to charge me.”
“I stood at a counter for 10 min before anyone would acknowledge me. They hire people who know nothing about the department they’re in. I wanted a cleaner for my sidewalk that would not kill my grass. Blank stares. I wanted replacement parts for my glass shower doors. Dude tries to sell me new doors ($700) when I needed $30 parts that he told were not made. Horrible service. I needed at 16x18 vent cover. No one around to check inventory. (Sterling VA store)”
“On 5/6/24 I called a Home Depot in Columbus Ohio and made arrangements for them to measure my front door to then come back and install a new storm door. The measurement was to be on 5/13/24. On 5/14/24 I tried texting and calling 4 times to find out the status of my measurement and what the next step would be. I was unable to reach anyone who could answer that question. I finally found a text number and was able to cancel the installation but they refused to refund the $40. I’m going back to Lowe’s, which has done thousands of dollars in installs for me, I never should have called Home Depot.”
“no search function on safari or google, website is inferior and even with 10% coupon , i just purchased it at lowes, quicker, easier, friendlier and open to suggestions”
“The worst ever racist Customer Experience Manage I found in life is Mr DON Cox in 600 Fanshawe Park Road Home Depot. Yesterday, I returned a blind to the customer return session which was not functioning well. It has a life time warranty on it. Diane, who was there at the time asked me to leave it there and would do the needful. This morning I received a call from a female voice telling me that she is the session HEAD and could not find the sticker on the blind. I have no clues. I have been shopping in this store for long many years..and have no clue what that would mean.
I had met this lady a couple of days prior to taking it here and made sure that it is returnable and she promised she would repair it or replace it.
Today she called me to say she is going to throw this away as it cant be repaired or replaced due to reasons only know to her. She told me in threatening language 'dont talk nonsense' . Reporting this DON Cox immediately was the most disastrous experience- He as he looks a ferocious and aggressive mannered 'customer service manage ( as he claimed) - was not willing to listen nor do some enquiries about it. His facial expressions to me appeared impolite and mannerless. He was trying to justify the 'female voice' claiming 'she may have..... she might have..... she is not the manager.... we will not take any action against her..... and so on. Within me I was laughing at his unpatching profession and character.
All my blinds were brought from Home Depot, and a couple of years ago a gentle man had replace it for me without any hurdles.
DOn Cox might have been under influence of some drugs or alcohol to have spoken ion the manner in which presented. He was very dramatic ... closing eyes.... drowsy.... unfriendly....
This was not the Home Depot usually.... How come Home Depot is tolerating such people as these. I am almost guessing that Mr Don Cox and the female voice did the dirty talk together over the phone. As he was not surprised when I reported the ill-versed tel. talk.
Is Home Depot at 600 Fanshawe Park is stooping down to too mean standards by employing these 'little lilliputians'- Get these rotten employees away and save the Home Depot. I pray that Home Depot can reverse back to professionalism and gentleness. customers doesn't want to see it as 'Conflict Depot... rather a Home Depot.....”
“Ignored at the customer service desk for 10 minutes when there were no other customers and manager came back twice to speak to employee behind counter and nobody even acknowled my presence. Didn't buy my $1000 lawn mower here.”
“Horrible experience had you guys come out twice to measure for doors 3 interior 1 exterior
1st I had to call to find out if my doors arrived no one called me
2nd scheduler scheduled 3 interior doors to be installed today 5/10 when the installer showed up he is telling me he is only installing two of the
3 interior doors.
4 he re measures and says the measurements are correct but homedepot put them in wrong.
5 homedepot is saying I cannot have the doors I have chose and paid for because they won’t fit because they are too tall when the guy who measured and when we we’re picking out our doors after the 2 measurements was never mentioned because they were able to be cut down. Now I have to wait another 2 months for this problem to be resolved after you guys took my 5000.00 dollars and 4 months later I have nothing.”
“I have had several appliances delivered over my lifetime. Today was a first in terms of a horrible delivery experience. At first, the guys refused to put my refrigerator in my kitchen, claiming they couldn’t take off the door in order to fit it. I became THAT person and called a manager, whom I put on speaker. The manager instructed the crew to put the refrigerator in the kitchen. Then the guys scraped my range across my new vinyl floor, scooting it carelessly. Had it been my old laminate floor, it would’ve been completely scratched. Fortunately no damage there. Then the guys put my refrigerator door back on. They practically stripped the screws and forgot the door hinge cover as well as the bottom cover. The handle to the door was loose as well. The worst part of the day was after they left. I had a marble entryway installed four weeks ago. Now there is a 4-5 inch crack thanks to these morons. I had covered it with towels and cardboard on top of the towels, secured by painters tape. I had told them to be careful of the marble when bringing in the refrigerator. Now my new beautiful floor has been marred. I am beyond disgusted. I filed a claim through the store and will wait to see what happens. I will never order another delivery from Home Depot.”
“Ordered a chainsaw. After they failed to deliver ontime I was given an escalation number and told to expect an email with resoltion within 48 hours. After going through the process 3 times the shipper finally called to say Home Depot didn't check restrictions in my area and the truck was not allowed on the hwy. They wanted to reschedule but I had already purchased a chainsaw in store myself. I made multiple tickets to get my refund back and always getting an escalation to be resolved in 48 hours that never get's resolved. Unable to get agents to tell me what the head office or corporate contact information is either. very sketchy. I had to call my bank to dispute the charge. Never buy again and recommend strongly against even considering purchasing from a fraudulent company such as Home Depot. Plus their customer service sucks. Agents are robots and unable to see when they are doing the same thing 10 times and that which they are doing is not effective at all.. They'll still vote to just do it an 11th time.”
“BUYER BEWARE!
DO NOT PURCHASE ONLINE from Home Depot.I tried to purchase Item advertised in flyer at the store and was told it is an online item only.orderd online because I was told delivery of April 17, have proof. Item has not arrived, two tickets created, told lots of conflicting info, received email stating it was in transit, called and was told item is in Calgary warehouse and they can’t call shipper , they said they would email and don’t know when it will arrive . I have all documents including order pictures of order where it states delivery of April 17 , pics of phone calls , email where it says in transit etc etc”
“The list of problems with just one online order has been horrendous.
Over 9 hours of phone calls. Employees unable to speak clearly is a definite problem when trying to communicate issues that get further complicated when the employee speaks extremely fast with a strong accent.
However, the main issue is the number I was given to contact regarding a payment issue with my card ended up into an 8 day …… show. I was literally transferred to 2 departments that I had to figure out on my own, was the wrong department. Mind you, when asked for my Zip Code I knew I had been transferred from Canada to the US!
Long story short, the order was paid for and despite my proof of payment, Home Depot ignored my proof and just asked for another credit card # to charge.
The funds I paid were apparently, “on the back end”. To be distributed to the individual stores as the order was set for delivery!!!!!!
End of day, one order split into 3 and the stores themselves had no idea what was going on.
Right hand left hand problem and a nightmare for me.
Last time they lost my shower door (11 months ago), I cancelled the order and went and picked one up elsewhere, only for me to come home after work to find the shower door that could not be found, leaning nicely packaged up against the wall by my front door.!
I’ll never order again from Home Depot!!”
“Awful! 1 box of tile from 4 missing from order. Got a different answer every time I called. They are eager to take your money and have no interest in refunding money when items are not delivered. I “escalated” and was given a case number. No response. Their escalation is as fake as their delivery dates.”
“I was told delivery would be between 10am and 2 pm, no knock on the door, dropped gazebo off blocking an emergency exit and worst of all the delivery personnel FORGED MY SIGNATURE on the bill, this is inexcusable and unacceptable!!! Either Home Depot makes this right or i go to the police!!!”
“charged tax on tax, 5 trips later dept manager, store manager could not figure it out totally disgusted unable to do grade 2 math,Sault Ste Marie finally 6th trip they got it right, deplorable treatment and raciest remarks totally unacceptable!”
“Today is April 15
March 25, 2024 - ordered a weed trimmer online
March 28, 2024- First delivery date, Delayed.
April 4, 2024- Second delivery date, driver called us to say he couldn't find our house. We said "you're the courier how can you be lost?" when he found out he was actually in the wrong town, He said he wouldn't look for our house and we had to wait until April 11 for our delivery. We said no, send it back to the warehouse.
My husband went to Home Depot and purchased this item, for $30 less i might add.
When we contacted home depot, April 4, we were told we have to wait for the item to be received at their warehouse. I don't think we should have to wait this whole situation has been caused by the incompetence of the delivery driver and by association Home Depot.
We are still waiting for our money! The worst customer service i've seen in a huge company like them. Sad.”
“There’s plenty of other places to shop. Local retailers. Garden , electrical, building materials etc. HD doesn’t care about customers. And the costs are the same if not more.”
