I love MyBodyTutor! I really appreciate it all so far - each and every mechanism. It helps cement things in the brain and it's the ultimate habit training. MyBodyTutor is what I envisioned for a coaching program. Accountability and collaboration are generally lacking although most claim it, but there is never solid follow-through or a true understanding of what collaboration and accountability are. Most "coaches or coaching" programs promise a lot and almost all promise accountability and they don't only fall short -- it's nothing more than words. MyBodyTutor is off the charts in so many ways! Plus, I love all that I am learning. I was kinda far along and hoping I didn't hit the ceiling to learn. Most coaches couldn't go beyond telling me I had to start running as the next phase. Never learned how to build this for the long term. I knew I wanted to build a healthy lifestyle but had no idea how to do it. I LEARNED SO MUCH in a short time! Adam's writings and all content are from the heart and brilliant. It enriches an incredible experience and I am in such a great spot!!! My experience with Matt, and MyBodyTutor, has been nothing short of stellar! Direct, helpful, educational and no-nonsense! :) I'm getting the balance in my day and diet that I wanted for a long time and above all consistency. I just love having a clearer mind too! Thank you!

I would highly recommend MyBodyTutor! My coach, Shannon, has been great! I feel like I'm making lifestyle changes that are sustainable and she has come up with some great solutions/ideas when I'm struggling. As a healthcare provider myself I've always known what to do but having someone on my team to keep me accountable has made all the difference.

Before MyBodyTutor, I never thought I would be able to pass on sweets. Now I am very choosy about how I spend my calories. I now think many desserts are sickeningly sweet and all you taste is sugar. No thank you! Now I eat to provide my body nutrients and not just empty calories. I still eat for emotional reasons on occasion but much less than before. I highly recommend MyBodyTutor!

Given that I only stayed with MyBodyTutor for one month you might think I didn’t get that much out of it, but I got just what I needed. Over the last 4 years I have slowly lost a significant amount of weight, but in the last year I’d gained back a few pounds and couldn’t seem to get going again to get it off. Those few pounds were the difference between being “overweight” and a “normal weight,” according to the charts. Having spent my entire adult life as either obese or overweight it was important to me to get rid of those labels and not feel that hanging over me. During the month I worked with my wonderful tutor, Monica, I got past my plateau and decided that I am comfortable where I am now. I am no longer overweight. Having a personal coach was invaluable during a time when I couldn’t seem to motivate myself to be consistent enough to make any progress at all.

I have been very fit by doing a variety of activities and types of exercise over the years. I believe that all that was missing was a mindset, specifically that I was never going to quit as long as I was able. I had hit a low when I was first introduced to MyBodyTutor. I knew I needed help but didn't know where to turn. I was overweight, feeling depressed, and even a bit desperate. My biggest fear was that I wouldn't be able to change the worst habits I had formed—or truly change. I had tried many apps, programs, and diets. While some helped me get results, those results were not lasting. I hoped I would find the motivation to reclaim my health and fitness and feel happy again. When I started MyBodyTutor, I thought I had 30 pounds to lose. Once I started working out regularly and seeing results, I discovered it was closer to 20. I have lost a solid 10 pounds and am well on my way to the next 10. The strategies I learned with MyBodyTutor have given me the confidence to not only see this through but to make wellness a priority in my life. My coach really cared about me. She got to know ME, my strengths, and my challenges. I looked forward to our interactions and felt motivated by her wisdom and encouragement. It was very personal. Accountability is motivating, but what made MyBodyTutor stand out was the personal attention and the feeling that someone really cared about my success.

Before MyBodyTutor, I wasn't sure I could be consistent. I have found that by increasing my awareness (logging), I've been able to make better choices but not limit myself. I hope these behaviors become my new habit! I totally feel supported with MyBodyTutor! My coach, Micki, has been great with helping me learn when it is best to eat proteins vs carbs, etc. Also reminding me that when I have a day that I'm off and not eating well it's not a calamity. I highly recommend MyBodyTutor!

My Body Tutor helped me stay focused on my goal of losing weight. I not only met my goal but exceeded it and I was able to do all of that in way less time than I thought it would take me to do. Of course, I knew some of the obvious things that would help me lose weight, but it was the tips from my tutor that helped me form better habits. The best part of the program is I didn't have to start eating veggies or other food that I don't like lol. That was my main hurdle in the past and why I never got on the healthy living thing, is because I thought I would just be forcing myself to do or eat things that I didn't like to do, but that is not the case with My Body Tutor. They work around what you are comfortable doing and give you advice on how to make small tweaks along the way. It was a great investment for my future!

I really enjoyed working with my coach James, and the My Body Tutor team. I had plateaued in my weight-loss and wanted a boost. That is exactly what I got. My coach James was well balanced between pushing and motivating. The app I used to track and report my choices and progress, which James would check and comment on daily, was well designed - easy and quick to use. I also really like Adams emails... plainly put the content is really good. I would recommend MBT to those in my position. It helped a lot having someone there, having an app to track and report, and ultimately therefore paying more attention to what I am choosing to do and why!

I tried counting calories, exercising, and other programs, but making the changes I needed to make was the biggest obstacle. I wanted to lose 10–15 pounds and be stronger and healthier so I could be an active mom for my husband and three kids. My husband had joined MyBodyTutor and was doing great, and he encouraged me to give it a try. Before I started, I had just quit working and was going to be a stay-at-home mom. And my biggest fears about joining were that I'd be forgotten and lonely, that there wouldn't be any structure, and that I'd have to do tasks I didn't want to do. I also had a lack of confidence in going to a gym. Since starting, I have lost 13 pounds and have maintained this loss for about a month. I have formed the habit of working out and lifting weights to continue to get leaner. I have more energy and confidence. I've also tried new meals and snacks that I never knew about before that are nutritious and tasty. The biggest difference with MyBodyTutor compared to other programs I've tried is the personalized coaching. On days I struggled or had a question about how to make a snack or meal healthier, my coach was quick with encouraging feedback. In the past, if I had a bad day for logging food, I would feel shame and embarrassment. But my coach was always positive and encouraging, as opposed to shaming. Also, my coach went above and beyond just healthy eating. She encouraged me to identify other types of goals, and this was a huge motivator and game changer. She continually had me set realistic goals with a time frame that was a challenge but so rewarding when I accomplished them! For me, the most beneficial tool is to be mindful. Mindful of hunger, fullness level, one thing I can change to make this meal healthier. I wrote a sticky note and placed it on my pantry, "How will this serve me?" This seemed so small but also so meaningful. I would highly recommend MyBodyTutor!

MyBodyTutor has been an absolute life-changer. As a single mom working several jobs, I had put my health on the back burner. I was turning 40 and decided to make some permanent changes, but needed guidance and accountability. Enter MyBodyTutor!! I had attempted to lose weight unsuccessfully over the course of my entire adult and adolescent life, and I was skeptical of MyBodyTutor and their methodologies since nothing had ever worked in the past. But Kristin and her guidance have been immeasurable. I have never been so grateful for my coach to be in my corner. She pulled me up when I was down, cheered me on when I was up, and treated me gently when I fell off track. She taught me balance and how to create life-long small changes. I have never in my life maintained my weight loss, and this time I have.... all due to MyBodyTutor. I am forever grateful for their help!!

Before I started MyBodyTutor, I was sitting on the couch a lot and thinking about exercising, but not actually doing it. Additionally, I gave myself a lot of negative self-talk whenever I did something that didn’t fit into my diet and exercise plan. I was very out of shape, getting very winded with mild exertion, like going up the stairs to my apartment and walking a few blocks. I was drinking heavily, packing on pounds, and feeling stuck. I have tried multiple diets and exercise programs. I did paleo but I became very allergic to almonds, which are used as a substitute for many items. I did a Massey Fit nutrition and workout plan, but I injured my foot and developed tendinitis. But my biggest stumbling block has been wanting perfection and then not being able to adapt once a curveball is thrown at me. I heard about MyBodyTutor on the BiggerPockets podcast, and I hoped to get into better shape to be able to keep up with my new baby niece as she learns to crawl and walk. And to be able to participate in activities I love to do, like rock climbing and kayaking, without feeling so exhausted afterward. So far I have lost 9 lbs and I am much more active than when I started. I do at least 10 minutes of exercise a day minimum, and on several days I will do longer exercises/activities such as going for walks, parkour classes, hand balancing classes, aerial classes, rock climbing, and cycling. My tutor helped me realize and act on the fact that since I don’t like weight lifting (I get bored with repetitive exercises) that I need to find things that excite me more and have a backup plan for days when I can’t do those more exciting things. Additionally, my tutor helped me with mindful eating, which has been a big part of reducing my food intake. I committed to 6 months because I know in any weight loss journey, it can be easy to get discouraged if you don’t see results quickly. I needed a way to ensure I would continue trying past the 1-month mark. For me, it worked because it took a few months for me to really buy in and make changes, and while the scale didn’t really move at first, my waistline started shrinking and clothes started fitting better. Had I only done 1 month, I would never have made it to those results.

When it came to taking care of myself, I was totally fragmented. I'd try plans like Whole30, give myself food rules, and I'd try to give up "bad" foods, only to fail. And I was afraid I'd always be hungry if I wanted to control my weight. I was looking online for a weight loss coach when I found MyBodyTutor. My hope was to lose at least 15 pounds, but really my goal was to learn how to eat for life and to be able to maintain my weight comfortably. With the support of my tutor, I've lost 15 pounds, and it feels great! I fit comfortably into my clothes. I focus on my health and not the number on the scale. And I have realized that emotional eating is something that impacts all of us and that until you understand why you eat, it's tough to ever understand how to change your behavior. MyBodyTutor is all about support, accountability, and teaching you how to get your mind right about food and eating. I knew before I joined that the financial commitment was tough, but MyBodyTutor was worth every penny! Your health is 100% the best investment you can make! You can pay to take care of yourself now or pay more later when you've neglected your health.

I’d eat mostly healthy foods for my main meals, but I binged on junk from about 3 pm until about 9 pm, constantly going to the kitchen to have just a little bit more. When I was out, I had very little self-control, especially in situations where there was finger food available. Then, I'd beat myself up pretty much every night before going to bed and promise to change the next day. This self-sabotage was on repeat for me for years, if not decades, and even though I knew about it, I couldn't stop it. My exercise has been mostly good for a long time and has included long-distance running and gym work. Diet has been my major challenge, and even though my exercise was OK, I've had a few decades of steady weight gain. Over this time, I've tried pretty much everything out there—low carb, paleo, fasting, cutting out alcohol, counting calories, etc., and nothing had really stuck. Then I read a post on Medium, and it was like a lightbulb came on. I realized it was all about long-term, sustainable weight loss, not the quick fix/yo-yo diets I've tried before. Before I started with MyBodyTutor, I had the usual surface-level positivity feeling of "this will be great." But, I also had a deeper-level fear that I'd fail again, like all my other attempts, which would reinforce my self-sabotage and habits. I had to discover what was going on at a deep level and change it. I was also concerned about the cost. I've spent so much on this stuff over the years that I thought it'd be more money I've wasted, and I resisted that. I'm also a very independent person and struggle to ask for help in most situations. I wasn't sure about the value of having a coach for my health or if I'd get anything out of it. After so many failures, MyBodyTutor was my last shot at breaking the cycle of self-sabotage and bad habits. If not, I was facing years of being overweight/obese and all the health problems that go with that. Even though I knew all the bad health outcomes were coming down the track, I simply couldn't change. So I had high expectations of the program, but as weird as it may sound, I also had high expectations that I'd fail again. I lost around 10 kg (22 pounds) with MyBodyTutor and reached my goal. I've got a new set of healthy habits that are now second nature to me, so I can call on them pretty much whenever I need to. I can pass by food in the kitchen without wanting to eat it. I can go to parties and eat and drink moderate amounts. I know how to make progress with my diet and exercise every day, knowing it's always about progress, not perfection. I will stuff up sometimes—maybe for a meal, maybe longer—and that's actually OK, and how most people are. I know how to get back on track and have the tools to keep me there forever. Trust me, after trying nearly every other diet and health program out there, MyBodyTutor is different. It is the only one that gets deep into what's truly going on with habits, mindset, and self-sabotage and works to change those in a sustainable way. It's not about a quick-fix diet to lose 5 kg in a week only to gain it all back. Instead, it's about coaching, support, and accountability to make small changes that lead to big changes. These changes gradually become second nature, and they do create the new you—forever. After decades of looking for something which would be the last "diet" I ever tried, I basically just stumbled on MyBodyTutor. Still, I questioned the value of it and resisted signing up for weeks. But in the 'end,' I've hit my goal weight and am lighter than I've been in 3 decades. It's such a relief after trying for so long. But more importantly, I know I can stay at that weight because I got to the bottom of the reasons I was continually failing and self-sabotaging and because I also have a new set of habits that are now second nature to me. My only regret is not finding MyBodyTutor earlier and then not signing up as soon as I found it. This is unquestionably the best investment I have ever made for my health and well-being. Having a coach and the accountability and support that goes with it is what I needed to change, to understand how I work, what my habits were, and how I could change them. If you're thinking about joining, give it a shot. I'm sure you will find it life-changing, just as I have.
