I feel like I had tried pretty much everything. I'm someone whose weight has gone up and down my entire life. I could lose weight, but I couldn't live at that lower weight. It's not perfect, and I don't do it perfectly, but MyBodyTutor has been a huge help in changing that. I was browsing online and came across MyBodyTutor. I was hoping just to be able to get my binge eating and my nighttime eating under control. At the same time, though, I was feeling more hopeless than I'd ever felt before. I felt so discouraged. I'd tried so many things and had lost and gained back the weight so many times that it made it really hard to try something new. I'm down about ten pounds right now. I would like to continue to lose more. I think I'll be able to. But for right now, being ten pounds lighter is a big deal for me, because I had reached a point where I didn't believe I had any choice but to continue to gain weight. So to be living ten pounds lighter really feels great. With my coach, I found a sense of true caring that really helped me. My coach helped me to believe that I could succeed. MyBodyTutor isn't about calories, and it doesn't tell you what to eat. It never felt like "just another diet." It helped me make healthy decisions and form new, healthy habits. I think it's a great program. It's brought a new sense of hopefulness into my life. My eating and exercise habits have become so much healthier. I'm not perfect, and I don't have to be. But I'm definitely happier and healthier since finding MyBodyTutor.

As a veteran, I joined MyBodyTutor with a ton of preconceived notions of weight loss and how much intensity/will I will need to achieve my goals but what I have learned has surpassed and even supplanted my understanding of weight loss and, believe it or not, my life. Their ability to challenge and rewrite what you have learned about weight loss is invaluable. I highly recommend you join their program and take a fresh outlook on what accountability can do for you. Their daily checkups and tracking is just the start of the journey.

I was brought into the MyBodyTutor program only semi-willing. I knew I had to do something, with a recent diagnosis of metabolic syndrome at age 63 and a family history of diabetes. My wife, Carla, had been on the program awhile ago and spoke highly of it. I remained quite skeptical of documenting eating and having a coach, but thought what the heck. My reservations went away quickly. I saw how supportive my coach, Annette, was and how she made excellent suggestions. And, you can’t argue with the results. Before joining, I had lost about 5 pounds before, but it had plateaued. I've lost 18 pounds since then. Being held accountable to another human was key for me. I feel confident that I’ve made a real change in how I live my life and my approach to eating. Thank you for putting the program together, and I can’t say enough great things about Annette! She’s been a great teacher and advisor. It's not easy to lose weight, but then few worthwhile things in life are easy. MyBodyTutor sets you up for success and gives you an advisor to keep you on the path.

Since finding MyBodyTutor and losing 28 pounds I feel much healthier and more fit. It's now more fun to participate in the activities that I enjoy, such as a recent hiking trip, where it was much easier for me to keep up with friends, carrying around less weight. I now feel and look like the athlete that I aspire to be. I can even see the muscles that I've been working to build through weightlifting. I have tried many programs before, but MyBodyTutor worked best for me, knowing that someone would be checking in every day to see how I was doing and to support me with any challenges I was having. I really liked how they helped me set my own goals without imposing any set rules on me. My tutor was very positive and encouraging. Just knowing that I was being "watched" helped me do what I knew was right. She politely held me accountable. It isn’t a "diet." It’s about practicing and solidifying new healthy habits for life. It is the first time that I've participated in a program and have not been ready to "get off the diet." I have no doubt that my new habits are here to stay. One of my favorite things I learned was to "make the hard choice". When I find myself wanting to eat something not in line with my goals, I remind myself to choose the option that I will feel better about the next day. For the first time, I do not feel deprived being on a diet. I am doing this for me and making my choices because "I want to," not because someone says I should. It’s now about living a long, healthy life.

I've tried to start cooking my own food and having a routine that went to the grocery store before. I've had a mental block around deprivation, not knowing how to cook, and just generally feeling like it was more time than restaurants and delivery. I couldn't convince myself to get over that hump and make the decision to turn it into a routine. I heard about MyBodyTutor through the My First Million podcast and my friend Ujwal. I did have some doubts, though. The biggest was saying, "Do I really need someone checking in on me," I should be able to just do this. I was shaming myself for something that was a block. I was hoping that I could have a more consistent and healthy relationship with making my own food. I'm a full-time digital nomad, and my diet has been constricted by what's within a ten-minute walk or Uber Eats from me. Sometimes that's been great (but expensive), and sometimes it's been awful. I wanted more control. I met my goal, and I'm cooking 66+% of breakfast and lunches and 33% of dinners. If you're considering this, it's because you have a bigger block than you're willing to admit. The first time I went into a grocery store, I went with my new girlfriend, and I ended up crying. We talked it out, but essentially, food meant so much more than I realized. My family never had dinners or cooked together. I'm the only non-obese member of my family. We'd never enjoyed grocery shopping, and we fought over unhealthy food to eat it faster. I had never learned how to even grocery shop, and the only cooking I'd done was from The 4-Hour Chef. I had also tried being able to eat out as an indulgence I deserved for working so hard. I didn't realize those things until I was really being pushed over it with support. MyBodyTutor helped me face all that, and it will make a massive difference in your life. So if you're considering it, take a leap.

My experience with MyBodyTutor was wonderful. I had known that I needed accountability to work on my health goals. They were thoughtful to get to know me and my goals and assigned me with a coach that fit my customized needs. And Sena was…perfect! The Goldilocks just-right amount of encouragement, holding my feet to the fire, and setting realistic and sustainable goals. Super sweet person, easy to communicate with. I lost weight but most importantly it helped me develop habits of being mindful of nutrition and daily movement. I now find my internal organic automated impulse is to eat a lot of veggies daily and at least get outside and move my body, if nothing else. I felt a lot of care from my coaching experience with MyBodyTutor. And I am healthier and happier because of it.

I tried Noom, and it worked a little, but I think the calories were too restrictive for my activity level. Then I came across MyBodyTutor, and they offer a more individualized approach. After researching the company and having a brief conversation with Adam, I had no reservations about signing up. I was hoping to become leaner and lose about 15 lbs. I lost about 5 lbs, but I definitely changed my body composition so that I look leaner and feel stronger (which was truly the goal). My hobby is triathlon, and since working with MyBodyTutor, I've had more energy during workouts, and I just won my age group at a Half Ironman race (although I've placed at smaller local races, this was the first time I was competitive at a larger event). Before working with MyBodyTutor, I think I underestimated the amount of protein I needed compared to what I was consuming. Also, I think, like many, I equated low-fat or fat-free foods as being better for you. For a long time, I was chasing a # on a scale, but once I started working with Layne and implementing her suggestions, some weight came off and I look more toned, but I came to the realization that what was more important was - how I felt in my clothes and during training and racing.

I highly recommend MyBodyTutor. I am so happy with my experience! I have changed my thinking immensely. I was doing so much cardio and just could drop weight which was my goal. With MyBodyTutor's help, I have switched my psychology to not "dropping weight" but changing my body by strengthening it. I have not lost a lot of weight but have dropped almost 2% body fat and leaned out considerably. I get to eat 25% more than I was. I am satisfied. My husband sees me and is stunned with how much my 53 year old body can do. I feel so much better about myself.

I highly recommend MyBodyTutor! I'm really enjoying the process. This program is exactly what I need and I think it’s what a lot of people need! I especially love that there are no “in game” purchases after you sign up, no hidden fees, no alternate agenda, the honesty and genuineness is refreshing.

What a difference MyBodyTutor has made in my life. Kristin is a perfect match for me and continues to be an amazing support. With her guidance, I have been able to successfully lose about 17 pounds. When I first joined my expectation was that I would lose some weight, but never imagined it would happen so quickly and that my thought processes would actually change so dramatically. Kristin has been able to help reframe the way I feel not only about food, but about myself in general. She has reinforced that I don’t need to be so hard on myself and that it is okay to eat things that I like (in a mostly pre planned way) with no guilt. She has taught me how to fuel my body with healthy foods which support my powerlifting. While I do have more weight to lose, I am actually very content in my skin as I am….for now. That has never been my pattern. I would diet, diet, diet until I reached my “goal” and then eventually work my way back up. Never have I been able to just stay the same and be okay with it. My plan is to continue on my journey to being the best version of myself and live as a healthy, fit person. I highly recommend MyBodyTutor!

This program worked for me. I've tried a number of programs to lose my extra ten pounds and this one worked. Part of it was having an ambitious goal of wearing a special dress to my son's wedding that didn't fit at plus 10. Part of it was the support of my coach, MaryAnn, who pointed out behaviors I could correct, such as starting over after a slip rather than throwing in the towel. Her patience, wisdom and daily support made all the difference. Her patient reminders of several problems area- i.e. drinking enough water- she never gave up as I tried to change these. I never had a personal relationship with coaches in other programs. The motivation of having the weight off and not wanting to gain it back is now motivating me. I didn't completely take advantage of all aspects of the program, such as the videos, but this was enought to work. I didn't do all the recommended actions, but again, did enough. There is no "food plan" to this approach. You work with what you normally eat- reducing portions, giving up the baddies (French Fries) for the most part. For me it is a chance to try to improve my nutrition. I will continue to send in my daily logs, do my daily movement (walking a bit counts), and assess things in the "your thoughts" section.

In the past, I tried calorie counting with MyFitnessPal, but it didn't work very well over a longer period of time because of the lack of accountability and more big-picture food philosophy. One of my big struggles before was going too hard at things like diet and exercise, and it wasn't really sustainable, so I would stop and rebound back to where I was or worse. My big doubt from there was being able to actually make it sustainable and worth it. I heard about MyBodyTutor on Cal Newport's Deep Questions podcast and was worried about the judgment of myself and also of others about the state of my weight and other things. But I was hoping for support and help with setting things up in a sustainable fashion for myself to stop going full throttle and then back. From the start, there was a big lack of judgment and a feeling of support and care about the problems I was having and how to get things going. I reached all the goals I had for myself, both in losing 60 pounds and getting back to a more active self like I was when at my best.

Getting fit and healthy was never a problem in the short term. I could make sound choices for short periods of time, but lacked consistency. I was also frustrated with my perfectionist tendencies. I knew I was succumbing to "all or nothing" thinking when it came to health choices. It all added up to a failure to have real change show up, no matter how much effort I felt like I put in. Before starting with MyBodyTutor, I had tremendous doubts about my ability to make a change that would pay off with day-to-day consistency. I was worried that I'd make a little progress and then backslide, as in the past. I figured it was worth putting in the effort to try, but doubted my ability to follow through. That was how I saw it, anyway. I wanted to be sure I was ready to change before signing up. At a certain point, enough was enough! I hoped that by reaching a weight loss goal, I could reduce anxiety about my health first and foremost. Beyond that, I had distance running goals I wanted to achieve as a master's runner. I knew that I would never stand a chance of making it without reaching my goal weight. I lost around 50 pounds and exceeded my weight loss goal. I never bothered to keep track of exactly how much I lost; I only focused on hitting my target weight. I believe this is helpful for me in focusing on the life I want to have and not on a deviation from an old pattern. Along the way, I set several personal best runs at the full and half marathon distances! I'm so excited to feel like I'm continuing to reach my running goals. Now that I've hit my weight loss target, it's so much easier to sustain my current weight. MyBodyTutor addresses the actual gap in health plans. I needed someone to help support me along the way with timely and relevant feedback. I needed someone to be objective about my choices. I needed someone to tell me when I was kidding myself or when I was catastrophizing something trivial. I didn't need information, I needed someone to course correct me little by little until I was pointed in the right direction. I see the consistency of the coaching with MyBodyTutor as the single most influential aspect to creating my success. I remember talking to Adam and confessing that I didn't want to be motivated anymore. I felt so tired of only making great choices when my enthusiasm was high. Those peaks and valleys are a tough emotional landscape to survive. It's like riding a very uncomfortable roller coaster. Coaching smooths that ride substantially. If you have a goal, MyBodyTutor can help you reach it. Be open and honest with your coach and be coachable. I found it really was that simple.

I'm so thrilled to hear it, Lyman! I love the mental transformation that occurs as a result of the physical. Or, perhaps more accurately, the physical transformation that happens because of the mental one. And I love that you feel like your weight loss is sustainable as that's what we're after. Awesome job with your personal best runs, too! Thank you for sharing and your kind words! - Adam at MyBodyTutor

I had trained for races successfully before, but then fell into bad habits as soon as the training and race were over. I had seen a personal trainer periodically, but was not seeing any significant results. I had done the occasional fitness video, joined a gym so I had access to treadmills, gone for 3 mile walks before work, and more. But what I never had was a consistent routine or motivation to stick with anything. I'd start things and then eventually stop them. I'd eat healthy for a week, see results, and then something would knock me off course and before I knew it, I'd gained that weight back and then some. In October of 2022, and I had just received some of my worst lab results ever, especially in terms of cholesterol and triglycerides. My fiancee and I had gone to an all-inclusive resort with some friends for a week, and half the time I just felt unwell. I was dehydrated, occasionally dizzy, and just didn't feel good about myself. I had felt the same way when on a trip with my daughter to Universal Studios earlier in the year. There, I was nervous to even go on some of the rides, because I felt like my blood pressure or current health could lead to something scary like a heart attack or stroke. I didn't want to live with this constant fear every day and let it prevent me from enjoying the things I wanted to do. I told myself that as soon as we got back from the resort I was going to take action. And I contacted MyBodyTutor as soon as we returned. After assessing what I really needed was accountability and hearing from a friend that "other" programs seemed nothing more than AI or a bot providing responses, I sought out a program online where I could receive actual accountability from a real human. After signing up, my hopes were realized for daily accountability from someone who was vested in my success. For me, it was hard at first to justify spending money on actions I knew I would be taking myself. I also wasn't sure I could trust myself to report on my diet and fitness honestly. But once I got started and was immediately seeing results and felt like I was in a judgment-free atmosphere, it was clear that the program was working for me in ways past efforts had not. I wanted to establish better, healthier routines that I could stick with and make continued progress without feeling like I was handcuffed or unable to enjoy things I enjoyed eating or drinking or doing. I also wanted to gain a better understanding of the effects of food and exercise on my body and to identify the "levers" I could tweak to see the results I wanted – specifically, I wanted to lose body fat, feel better in my clothes, get faster in my races, and receive clean blood work labs. It's been 7 months since I started working with MyBodyTutor and my coach. I cut 2" off my favorite belt and jeans size, realized I could now wear L instead of XL for some shirts, have decreased my running pace by about 1.5 mins/mile, recently got blood work results that reflected decreased total cholesterol and normal triglycerides, and I now have the capacity to get right back into my routine if I occasionally indulge in some food and beverages that aren't in line with my goals. I've lost 25lbs, my confidence has increased, and I now know I have the tools at my disposal to lose at least another 20 lbs. if I just focus. How's MyBodyTutor different? For one, you're dealing with real people who take the time to understand your individual needs, boundaries, motivations, etc. These are people who can make recommendations to you, explain why something is working or not working, and answer questions for you on a daily basis – whenever you have them. One thing I enjoyed the most working with my coach was sending her the menu for a restaurant we were going to be dining at and asking for recommendations on the best dishes to order. I also received great suggestions on how to improve my protein intake, ways to vary my exercise routine to keep it more interesting, tips on recovering from intense runs or strength workouts, and other "tools" I could add to my toolbox to test out or shake things up when I felt like I was getting stale. If what you're lacking is accountability and someone who will keep you on track on a recurring basis, even when your tendency is to fall into bad habits, this is the program you need. After 7 months, I decided that I had learned so much that I wanted to take the opportunity to go implement my new tools on my own and see what I was capable of. I plan to continue logging my meals in MyFitnessPal daily and seeking out ways to keep my fitness routine fresh and interesting. And I know if I start to fall too far off track I can return to the MyBodyTutor family and they'll be ready, willing and able to help me achieve my goals.

I consider myself extremely fortunate for finding MyBodyTutor. I have had a myriad of nutrition coaching experiences...all positive...but variably so. I have used StrongerU, PLT nutrition, and a few smaller coaching companies. I find my success the greatest with MyBodyTutor because they take the input of what I want to do, and what I don't want to do, and we work within those confines. As an example, I was likely a unique client in the sense that I did not sign-up to 'lose weight'. As a matter of fact, I signed up 6 months pregnant with the goal of keeping my nutrition under daily observation and adjustment so that when I entered the baby phase without the sleep and lack of regularity - I would have some strong nutritional habits that I could rely on vs. throwing it all out the window...as I have tended to do with my last 4 babies! That was my usual MO...I have the baby....nurse and eat like crazy...and then wake-up about 4-6 months after birth...at a higher weight...and then jump on the bandwagon to lose weight! What I love about MyBodyTutor is that it is so gentle. It is a daily guidance. My coach watches what I consume daily and we discuss it! If something I don't want to continue, continues my coach sees it, and calls me out on it before 'it runs away'. It is shocking to me how much more aware I am of what I eat when I know I have to send my coach a picture of every meal! If I go to starbucks...i think about the picture before I order something. Just works for me! I have really enjoyed this habit building phase with MyBodyTutor...and I can't wait to get to the phase where I tell my coach I'm ready to get my sexy dancer body back...and we get to work on it day by day!!

Despite all of the different programs and diets I have tried, I am finding that I am learning new lessons, trying different tools, and viewing things differently than I ever have. Every article and video that I get sent really resonates with me and my tutor is a wonderful support. While I am still in the beginning stages, I am so grateful for MyBodyTutor and my only regret is not finding it sooner. I highly recommend it!

I love MyBodyTutor! Here’s why: 1. Being accountable for my diet, exercise and sleep encouraged me to make better choices. 2. My coach helped me to adjust my diet and this made a big difference to my protein levels 3. I got a lot of benefit from the encouragement and tips from my coach 4. I’m now really mindful and intentional about what I eat. I believe I’ve developed a lifelong habit.
