“Our family loves Pinwheel! It has been the perfect way to feel safe giving our daughter access to a phone and teaching her how to use it responsibly. Customer service is easily accessible through email, phone, or online chat, and they have always been able to solve any issue quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend this service to all families.”

“I've been with Pinwheel for five years and have seen the company and product grow so much in that time frame. The support is great and thorough for any issues that arise. “Great way to ease kids into tech. I am able to individualize my kids access as they grow. Great tech support and my choice of phone carriers. Sometimes Verizon phones are sold out. But welcome to post covid life.”

“Pinwheel is a true sandbox to allow my kids to safely explore smartphone technology without unfiltered access to the world. I love the different modes, and that our family can decide which apps are best. So glad there's no social media as well. This phone supports our family goal of smart, healthy relationship with technology - that the smartphone is a tool, not a toy.”

“We have had a Pinwheel phone for our daughter for 18 months now and have recommended it to everyone we talk to about phones for their kids. We just finished purchasing a phone for our son as he is now old enough to get a phone. Anytime we have had any issues arise with the phone or an app or anything really, their customer service has been absolutely great to work with. The parental controls are a great comfort, and the schedules make things so you can set it and foget it for the most part.”

“Pinwheel is a great option for a first phone. Some of the limitations were a bit frustrating but now they've added the google play store and I'm able to give my child much more independence while still having the safety of knowing exactly what is being used on the phone. Whenever I have trouble with something, customer service has a live chat option that is stupendous! The representatives are very patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. I haven't had a problem yet that wasn't able to be fixed. I will definitely be getting another Pinwheel phone for my younger child when they reach an appropriate age.”

“As a mom AND a UX professional, this is the worse product I’ve used in decades. Some of the apps which are available through the parent portal are actually impossible to set up on the phone because they require the link manager which pinwheel doesn’t allow. Support is almost nonexistent. The portal interface looks and feels like it was designed and developed by a non-professional while setting around their kitchen table - it’s a lesson in frustration. A very large portion of the apps that are ”appropriate” are religious-based apps. I can only surmise that this phone is geared towards religious homeschooled kids. Over 2 years in and this product hasn’t gotten any better. My kid is frustrated, I’m more frustrated, and the device and monthly subscription is way too expensive for what you get. I wish we had our money back”

“This phone has fixed so many of the flaws I found with other parental control solutions. It has made our lives so much easier to be able to schedule what apps/who can be texted at what time. It is allowing my child to focus better while at school. I had some learning curve issues switching from an iPhone to an Android, but customer service has been great and I’ve been able to get everything up and running. They respond quickly and thoroughly and make sure your issue is resolved. My child also likes that it is a real phone and doesn’t look like a child safe phone. It allows us to discreetly monitor a teenager without everyone at school having to know that she needs controls. For a kid with ADHD, having this option has been invaluable.”

“Pinwheel makes it possible for our family to get our children used to smart phones as a tool without constant distractions of social media or unfiltered internet browsing. We're trying to build healthy habits, and the caregiver interface lets us keep watch (without controlling) interaction on the smart phone.”
