“Bought four tickets for rod Stewart for £565.80 tickets arrived 4 days before event face value of £248 I’m absolutely gutted at being a victim of fraud the government should should these sites down and refund genuine ppl there monies owed!! These were Xmas presents and they have came with some random mans name on!! AVOID THESE SELLERS LIKE THE PLAQUE!! I’m onto it tho”
“Stay away from this site. They are a fraud.
They email to say I'm not going to receive the tickets due to an issue with the seller, just the day before the event. We had already booked hotels and train.
Also they only offered the refund in vouchers to use with their site, which I don't want to use again at all.”
“DONT BUY TICKETS FROM THESE PEOPLE!
I bought tickets to Mark Knopfler's May 30th concert at the Resorts World Arena from Viagogo last November. They charged me £484.98 for 3 tickets with a face value of £63.35 each! The tickets are clearly marked 'The resale of this ticket is prohibited' and 'ID checks may be conducted on entry'. The tickets are also marked with the name of the original purchaser. I contacted the venue and they confirmed that Photo ID WOULD be required and if the original purchaser was not present we would be refused entry. These tickets were in fact worthless to me. Viagogo refused to provide a refund so I have referred the matter to my Credit Card providers disputes team. Moral of the tale: DON'T BUY TICKETS FROM VIAGOGO, THEY ARE A CON!”
“Just been to Manchester Arena to see Michael Buble. Was an anniversary surprise from my husband. He paid £540 for 2 tickets that were up in the gods when bought in good faith to be near the stage. Absolute rip off !! The view was terrible , the cameras were right in our view. Buble was of course amazing, just don’t buy tickets from Viagogo . Obviously we won’t be doing so again”
“Excessive booking fees charged to account.
Avoid this site they are touts not official ticket sellers.
3 x £55 face value tickets were £544 with VIAGOGO and impossible to contact.”
“I would even give them 1 star .. minus 10 is more like it!
Rip off .. £35 ticket sold at £78 with anappalling seat.
Ticket original buyer was from Australia. What a scam🤬🤬🤬🤬”
“Con artists who charge massive amounts for cheap tickets. Unable to supply tickets that were ordered, unable to obtain a refund.
Customer service non existent. All complaints brushed off and blamed on someone else.
SPREAD THE WORD VIA SOCIAL MEDIA. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.”
“Companies like this shouldn't be allowed. My mistake that I didn't do my research. My fault I trusted what they advertised. I will never use viagogo ever again, lesson learned. I hope those who make money from this company, will only find discontentment in everything they buy with it.”
“Dont bother they have just messed up all our tickets for Ariana Grande and resold them. The tickets didnt appeae in our account and they claimed they had no record of us buying despite credit card showing them wed paid. Eventually someone found them when i got the CC company involved. Got a call saying all sorted then today receive a mail saying tickets cancelled and refund issued to a card thats now expired because 1 of their staff cancelled in error, an order that we made at the beginning of April and just sent an email saying cancelled. My 9 year old son who has just lost his grandad is devastated and all we got from ViaGoGo was nothing we can do now sorry. I would never ever touch this company again for tickets!! I suggest you dont as well unless you want to worry about if your going to get your tickets and get into the gig until your in the arena. Have have removed my review from their facebook page and blocked me from posting.”
“NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM VIAGOGO UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET CHEATED OR RIPPED OFF LIKE I, AS WELL AS SO MANY OTHERS, HAVE. Viagogo once again proves how shady and sleezy they are by screwing over yet another consumer (me). I purchased tickets on 4/26/2019 from viagogo for an event on 5/8/2019 and was promised my tickets no later than 5/5/2019. I didn't receive the tickets by 5/5/2019 so I filed a dispute with my bank and purchased alternate tickets from a reputable vendor (where I received tickets immediately after purchase) and only then, when Viagogo got the dispute notice from my bank, did I receive tickets for the event at 3pm on 5/7/2019. At this point I now had duplicate tickets ($230 worth from Viagogo) and since they did not transfer them to me until last minute I was then unable to post them to any of the ticket sale sites (Viagogo themselves, ticketmaster, and stub hub) for sale as the event was "too close to guarantee the buyer would receive the tickets" that I would have obviously transferred immediately, unlike the shady people at Viagogo. Not to mention, reaching any kind of logical and helpful customer support is impossible and I was told that I would not be given a refund for the tickets, despite having a written promise from viagogo in my email of when I would receive the tickets by and did not receive them. Viagogo needs to get shut down as this is about the shadiest ticket resell service I have ever seen and the condition in which I was treated has spiraled out of control. If I could give a 0 star review I would. I can't believe that shady business like this is allowed to continue. I am not going to give up and I am going to keep fighting Viagogo and keep working with my bank to show what has happened to me and so many other people to get this resolved and get my hard earned money back. They never once responded logically to my concerns or addressed any of them directly, they lied about trying to call me to resolve the issue, and they sent me emails with fake URLs to have me "send in screenshots of the problems" that I could not access.”
“Absolutely rip off I’ve purchased some tickets £71.30 each for 3 which is 214.90 and charge me £ 658.30 I’m new to this site and never order before and overcharged me by £443 round about . So please who ever purchases make sure you read carefully because I didn’t so I’ve payed the price for sure
I will never use this site again .”
“Bought tickets from this website months before the concert.
but the tickets were never shipped till the last few days.
I have continuously emailed customer service, but all their replies were from their 'email templates', it din't solve anything.
My ticket finally reached and cleared customs in the evening before my morning flight. I had to drive all the way to the airport to pick it up before post office closes.
And you cant do anything on the website unless the event is over, then maybe they will finally read your emails.
It was horrible.”
“Cowboys and thieves!
Scam - don't buy or sell here - zero customer service - if you get to speak to someone they repeat back what you told them and then go silent. No explanations for their GIGANTIC fees, extra charges, faulty technology and broken ethics. A stinker. Never had such a shocking experience.”
“Site "Confirmed" my tickets were purchased and 3 weeks after let's me know that the seller actually did not have tickets and I am not out of luck on tickets which I purchased airfare too and lodging. Now there are no feasible remaining options (other remaining options are over 6x my purchase). Will never use this site again, I advise you to do the same!”
“I hadn't realised how infamous Viagogo are but now I fully understand. For the past days I have been chasing tickets from Viagogo, phoning them increasingly regularly. The concert is planned to start in 28 hours time and no tickets.
It is clear to me that the culture of the company is one of lie, lie, lie. I do wonder if the agents actually understand how corrupt this business is. For example, I have had around 25 calls with the company, and on every occasion I have been urged to "stay on the line" to answer a customer survey regarding service quality. I have never had the opportunity to do so yet.
It is interesting to speculate how agents are remunerated - are they on commission, with bonuses for creative dissembling? I have to say one of the more plausible agents did suggest that despite the assertion that "calls may be monitored...…..", this is not the case.
It takes only a few minutes for customers to pen a review like this. I think that to do so is a valuable public service and intend to do so at my (considerable) leisure in the coming days and weeks.
I challenge anyone in Viagogo's senior management to contact me to discuss their shoddy business practices. As I said in my Trust Pilot review, you know how to contact me (depite claims to the contrary - check you outgoing emails). So do it, if you dare.”
“A dishonest company that will lie and cheat and even take money from your bank account illegal and when challenged will not reply. Avoid at all costs”
“It was hours before the event and still no tickets. So I called the support team and after a bunch of arguing, they eventually agreed to refund me. I immediately went and purchased tickets on Ticketmaster where my tickets were emailed to me automatically, which tells me that Viagogo was lying when they said the theatre hadn't released tickets yet. Its a total scam. I waited it out until a few hours before to realize that "wow, I actually am being scammed". Don't buy from this site, there is absolutely no guarantee and most likely you won't be getting your tickets.”
