Richard, CEO your service is less established and I can take that into account. Your service indicated your technician would have the tools to check my existing battery to determine the charge. He did not have the tools to check it. Your technician was working in an area that typically has two technicians with an expected arrival time between 10-12. Since there was one technician absent the technician was working double calls and arrived at 230PM. I understand your technicians are independant contractors but providing them adequate resources reflects on the quality of the work and service. The mark-up on the batteries is a little high too. Thanks for the service. Don Douin

Total Value— a 3-star. Technician was great. 5 minutes to install. Price is my only concern. Just because you can get $300 for average quality battery doesn’t mean you should. I would use you again, except it will be more worth it to get a jump from insurance company and take it to AutoZone for $80 installed…out the door. Wish I could rate the service value higher, but I cannot.

Got my battery replaced by 1-800 Battery one year ago and it died yesterday. Spoke to someone and they said they would honor the warranty and it would be $50 for labor on the phone but they charged me $104. Lol. The service is relatively fast and the people are friendly but little stuff like this urks me.

The young man that showed up was very nice and installed the new battery. The car did not start….. I had to call a Mobil tech in to see why and it turned out that a wire was not put back. It cost me an addition 150.00 for someone else to connect the loose cable……. Really?

I have to say, it was not what I expected, however I was more than satisfied even 2.5 hours after my appointment. I was notified of numerous delays, given a discount and the technician was absolutely wonderful. I would call again because of the interactions with customer chat, personal call and the servicing technician.

The initial order process was easy. However, before the the battery was finally delivered and installed, the process became more and more confusing with email messages I couldn't read unless I logged on to my account. I never created an 'account' and was never required to do so. Once I created an 'account' a subsequent email advised that my order had been changed - that it would only be delivered. Responses from the online chat person were also confusing. The tech who installed the battery was polite, helpful, informative and patient. If it were not for him, I may have scored this review even lower. If hadn't of been for all the confusion, I may have scored it higher.

The technician was great. Overall, though, for the price it was not a great experience. The windows of time you book are treated loosely... If you ask for 8 to 10am , it really means 10-12. Support was responsive and the technician was friendly, but it's not like any other delivery service where they communicate proactively about your delivery. You end up having to call them 15 minutes before the delivery window is about to end to get an update. The price is very high for this sort of lackluster experience.

So far so good. Guy shows up, puts battery in, car started. Honestly the battery didn’t look new, however “chat” feature advised me the battery is new. A warranty is in place as per this company, and hopefully the battery lasts. Still a little shady to me, but we’ll see. Nothing is over until it is.

The service was excellent but the wrong battery was brought, although I did confirm the battery numbers three times, but it was the wrong battery. It did not fit in the well the way it should but I was able to get the cover over it enough to close the trunk panel. If I was not selling the car I would have returned the battery for the correct one I ordered. Disappointed!

Very quick service but there were a couple of disappointing issues. 1, the Diehard car battery which I thought purchased, ended up being a different battery, I was told it was equal to the original. Called 800 # to complain and was told in the very fine print which was not easy to find, that they reserved the right to replace with similar battery, just wish that information was more upfront. Also they said that the technician would test old battery to make sure it was dead and not just in need of a recharge. My technician did not have the equipment so never really knew the exact facts of my old battery. Was also told someone would contact me about issues for possible discount, never received any communication. For these reasons I will definitely look elsewhere when needing to replace my car battery, disappointing experience.

The attitudes of local contractors are not very good, rude is how I will describe it. JC

James the technician saved me from canceling my order. My order was delayed a day due to technicians not wanting to work Super Bowl Sunday!!!! Not good for a 24/7 company. James told me he was available Super Bowl Sunday but, received no orders! The scheduling system is horrible!!

My scheduled appt for 1/30 didn't happen. My appt for 1/31 for between 11:00 - 1:00 didn't show up until around 4:00. Once technician got here he confirmed my battery needed replaced & car started. Battery was under warrenty & I was told I would pay $50.00. Please adjust amount charged to my account.

The website was very difficult to navigate and execute. The scheduling process was unclear and unweildy. Surprisingly, the technician arrived without the necessary tools.

Tech had to be called to see when he would be there. We were scheduled between 8-10 am, he showed up at 10…with one battery not two like I ordered for my truck. He had to go get the second battery after installing the first one. I was told he would test the old batteries before installing the new ones just to make sure that was the problem, he did not do that. The delay in leaving and returning with the 2nd battery really delayed the day and other plans.

The primary advantage to this service is that you don’t have to leave your house. However, the batteries are at the upper end of the generally accepted price range the charge for coming to your house and installing it is between 100 and $150. Finally, they were two hours late with their service call. If the most important thing is to not have to leave your house, and you don’t mind waiting the entire day, then this might be a good choice. However, if you’re able to leave the house, simply driving to a local auto parts dealer, buying the battery and having them install it will save you money and time.
