Never showed up on the day of service. Technician went home for the day and I was never notified. They promised the technician would arrive at 8am the next morning and he was almost an hour late. Also very overpriced.

I probably would not use 1800B again. The battery showed up 3 and a half hours after the order. The battery showed up and was the wrong size. The tech had to go get the proper size and it took an extra hour. And it cost me $60 to get the tech in and out of the paid long term parking lot because they didn’t communicate properly with office to bring the proper battery in the first place.

Technician not very knowledgeable. Said it was my starter that was bad. With further investigation and expense it turned out to be the battery all along.

I called in last Tuesday to order a new hybrid and 12v battery for my mom's Prius V. I was told that they would order the hybrid battery and it should arrive within a day or two. They even scheduled an installation on Friday. Weirdly enough a technician called me on Thursday telling me they would be available to install the battery that day. I was surprised that they were able to get it done sooner than scheduled. However, it turned out that they had the 12v battery in stock so they came by to install that but not the hybrid battery. I called 1800battery to find out what was going on with the hybrid battery install. Turns out that the order was "still being processed" and that it would come at earliest on Monday. I called in today (Monday) and was informed that that they just received a tracking number today and the battery would be arriving this coming Friday. Hopefully there won't be any further delays. I just wish they did a better job communicating install times with their customers so they can know when to reasonably expect services to be completed. Also, if they run into any delays they should do a better job communicating those to their customers. If I didn't call in I would not have received any updates and expected them to arrive at their originally scheduled time. Kind of disappointed at the moment, but if the installation goes well and the battery performs it is still a better economical option than going to get it done at the dealership. Fingers crossed.

When the technician arrived, he was efficient, friendly, capable and fast. Unfortunately, he arrived nearly two and a half hours after my "window": I was told he would be there by 8:18 a.m. and he arrived after 11:35 a.m. Before he arrived, I spent a long time on hold on my cell phone - which I could not charge because my car battery was dead - trying to get confirmation that he was actually on his way, since he was so late. If your original email had said to expect him after 11 a.m., I would not have been sitting in a hot car on asphalt for all those extra hours. I would have gladly shown up at around the time I should have actually expected him...and would not have dealt with illness caused by heat exposure. It is far better to underpromise and overdeliver, than to overpromise and underdeliver when your entire business is based on helping people who are stranded with a dead car.

South Jordan, UT 01 8/7/2022 Car battery was dead, and could not be boosted or jumped. Scheduled replacement service online for noon-2pm that day, for either an AC Delco, or Die Hard battery for the car, can not remember which. At 2:30 I called to check progress, or reschedule of appointment. They said he was running late, and it was now scheduled for 4pm. At 4:30, called again, and they said he was on his way, and should be there by five. He showed up a little after 6pm! I was just glad to have the car running again. However, instead of the batteries named, it was some make that I never heard of, and could not find on the internet. The repairman said it was just as good as the name brand, and I accepted his word. The mechanic was very nice and helpful, and obviously stressed, since he was the original noon to two appointment, and had worked solid all day. My beef is twofold. They scheduled an appointment they could not keep. I could have gone with other sources. Instead, I sat around all afternoon waiting. All they had to do was schedule me after 4pm, and I would have accepted it. Substituting a no name generic battery for the ones listed, is not acceptable. will have to see how long it lasts. The two star rating is only because the repair man was good, and helpful.

A little disappointed. I was informed my hybrid battery for a Prius V would be arriving today. In fact, the install was scheduled for today at 4. I just called customer service and was informed that the order was still being prepared and would be installed this following Monday at the earliest. I think it is very important to give customers accurate times for service. I can update this review after the install happens. Hopefully it will actually happen on Monday and won't be further delayed.

The Overall customer service experience was very good and the technician was excellent and highly qualified. However, the actual coordination of my appointment was handled very poorly. I initially booked an appointment for Thursday 7/28 during the hours of 4 pm-6 pm PDT. The technican was not able to show up, which would normally be fine except I was never notified by 1-800 Battery and their offices were closed when I called to confirm. Then I followed up with 1-800 Battery on Friday 7/29 to coordinate another appointment. I was told that a technician would be able to arrive on Saturday 8/1 between the hours of 8 am - 10 am PDT, I had also told the person on the phone that I specifically needed it done in the morning as I had lunch I had to get to. When Saturday came around the technician did not show up and I once again did not receive a notification from 1-800-Battery so I had to call again and schedule an appointment for Monday at 10:00am. I believe 1-800-Battery needs to learn how to coordinate with their technicians better and not offer times they will not be able to commit to, when I pointed this out to them I was told I was in an area that was "out of the way" and they had trouble getting coordinating with a technician in my area. While I can empathize the first appointment was listed as open in the 1-800-Battery calendar and I provided my location so there was no ambiguity there. Additionally, after my first appointment was missed I would expect my next one to be treated a little bit better but the second one was also missed. I would also recommend that 1-800-Battery be better about notifying customers when Appointments will be missed as well as have staff available during the hours when Technicians are active so that I a client needs to call in regarding a missed appointment a new one can be coordinated immediately rather than having to wait until the next day. I will say that on Monday the service was handled very well I received a text notification when my technician was heading towards me and when he arrived. Additionally, the Technician that did deliver my battery and installed it was excellent and very professional.

I was able to get same day service. However, it took over 5 hours for them to arrive and they were not able to properly install my battery. I had to go to the dealership the next day to have it installed.

Service technician was not prepared for under the seat battery, I had to lend him a tool and the battery was not a Die Hard as shown when ordering online, it was a less expensive Exide. Also had to assist him in lifting the battery out of the compartment, so not very happy with my experience.

Terrible communication. Customers should not have to babysit your services. ASAP 2-3 hours doesn't mean show up nearly 6 hours later . Stay in contact with customers, update them frequently if you're delayed for any reason - otherwise you look disinterested and unprofessional.

I did not receive much of the service stated on the website. I was told that the battery would be delivered in 2 hours, and it did not arrive until 3 hours. I was expecting to get info tracking the delivery. None was provided. The old battery was to have been tested prior to replacement. It was not tested. The service technician was not a company employee. He was an employee of another company subcontracted by 800 Battery. Would not recommend this company.

THE only issue I had was the person who answered the call, did not speak clear nor give precise instructions as to what will be done

After two attempts and need inconveniencing a friend to drive me round trip to where my car was stranded, the THIRD attempt and waiting for over three hours between 8am-and after 11am, a tech finally arrived. Between all the appointments and cancellations, I spent over 12 HOURS on getting a battery replaced. A battery that cost significantly more than if I would have gone into a local battery store. I became so skeptical and suspicious about this company that I double checked this company on google to make sure I hadn’t been scammed. It was a very nerve racking experience.

I spoke with Al initially. He was helpful. An appointment was set up for 10:00 - 11:00 the next morning. The install tech said he was running late and would make it as soon as possible.. After some time I called and he said he has been dispatched to other appointments "the other appointments have been waiting" . He advised me to go home and wait for his call. I received a call to meet him "he was on his way". When he showed up, he presented two batteries that were too small to effectively start the diesel. He insisted these batteries were "ok". I know the correct battery and this was not it. He called in his manager told him to install the incorrect battery. Wasted day. I checked in with Al, he said a refund would be processed. As of now I have not received a refund.

My first battery died soon after I got it. The company charged me full price for the second battery and has yet to reverse it, even though it was covered under warranty. They also showed up five hours late.
