“Very disappointed and angry that I paid a little more than R 1200 to send a parcel to Greece and once the parcel was in Greece, my son was then told to pay 62 Euros which works to be about the same amount I had already paid. When I called to enquire I was told it to as for customs. This was not told to me upfront. That was what I was angry about. Had I known about this, I could have made different decisions. I would have taken the item with me when I visit next year. DHL sucks”
“For an entire week all my notifications from DHL said Friday delivery. Even on Friday, when I called DHL, the representative said, it can still be delivered today. “I had a terrible experience with DHL. My package was scheduled for delivery on November 7, and as someone who works from home with cameras covering my property, I was ready to receive it. However, the delivery never happened. Instead, I received an email and a text saying that no one was home, which was simply not true.
I tried contacting customer service but found they were already closed (I live in California, so perhaps they run on Eastern Time). I then rescheduled delivery for the next day between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. This time, both my husband and I were home. I was actively tracking the driver on the map, and at one point, the message said they were delayed, with â22 stops to go.â
At 6:09 pm, I received another email and text saying the driver attempted delivery but that no one was home. My husband and I were both stunned, as neither of us saw any sign of the driver. My guess is that the driver isnât making an effort, despite knowing that many people today have cameras monitoring their property.
This has been my first experience with DHL, and itâs also the worst. I hope it will be my last. As of now, I am still waiting for my package!”

“I was asked to pay $700 for IPhone 12. I requested that the shipment be opened so that the documents, including the passport, could be retrieved, while the phone could be kept for further decision on whether to return it or not. They asked me to write a letter granting permission, which I did, but it was denied. This process has been a complete waste of time, and Iâve found their approach unprofessional and disrespectful.
Yesterday, my wife went to pick up the documents, as theyâre not taxable, yet they refused to release them. The DHL employees there are working with customs to hold the documents until we pay an additional $700, which is unacceptable, especially since Iâve already paid $60. When I called to request the return of the shipment, they informed me that, due to the initial payment, thereâs now an entry, and unless we pay the full amount, they wonât release anythingânot even my passport.
I trusted that DHL had strong partnerships with all its international locations and would cover these types of issues. I should not have to navigate the processes of a foreign country in this way.
I shipped this package urgently because it was time-sensitive. Now, nearly two weeks later, I am still struggling to retrieve my sonâs passport. His visa is close to expiring, and if we donât resolve this soon, Iâll have to start the entire process from scratch. This situation has caused significant distress.
I want the documents released, I canât wait for another 2-3 weeks. We can discuss about the phone later.

Every year despite been paying a lot of money more than other courier services, we had opted for yours. But only to be heartbroken this diwali.
My son got married this year and this was first Diwali of my daughter of law. As a typical middle class Indian Maharashtrian, this festival means a lot!
We had sent them sweets, faral and Indian wear for the new bride and groom. Unfortunately the courier boy did not call or wait for them to get the courier in hand, instead he left it in a very shabby place where itâs written about the safety of things to be placed.
When my son checked the parcel indian wear dresses worth 40k were lost leaving only faral and sweets.
Amazon, myntra services make sure to hand over their even 200rps clothes. Trustworthy service providers has some name tags, sorry to say yours is not at all all of that.”

They use Norsk as forwarding agent , I spoke with Norsk on the phone and they advised this would Never arrive in a week, it will be around 14 days slow delivery, they obv putting 3-6 days to get the clients and once you purchase label you basically done and no one cares .
Evri delivers around Europe for ÂŁ10 and itâs fully tracked, I used this scam as was 3-6 days , which is 3 times longer they wonât give you exact time because nobody will use them , so now I will not get clothes I ordered for my holiday . Itâs extremely frustrating. Parcel was dropped 8 days ago and for all 8 days didnât even leave country of origin !!!! DO NOT USE THEM as regular post or evri are half cheaper and faster . I will open claim on PayPal to get ÂŁ25 delivery charges back . This is scam and miss selling and misleading clients as they sell services they know very well they wonât be able to provide .”
“I am deeply saddened that a company like DHL doesn't reply to any of their reviews and the same problems keep on occurring. I was reading a review from Marta Jakubowska and a very similar thing has happened to me. I too fell for the 3-6 days international delivery at ÂŁ25 which in actual fact is from customer collection to Norsk Global in 3-6 days, after that it's not their problem. I found this extremely unhelpful, it was like playing a detective game, looking for clues as to where the parcel is in the world. Looking over my emails, I saw 'your Norsk parcel is on the way'. Norsk? So I looked up the company and typed in the DHL tracking number, which revealed that the parcel was in transit. I also took a closer look at the delivery times which say 6-16 days!! So I thought okay, I will continue to track the parcel through Norsk, however the tracking stopped at 12 October. I didn't look at it for a while, however when I came to look at it yesterday, there were still no updates. I emailed Norsk who politely told me that they can't help me and that I need to contact the company I placed my order with. I couldn't find a number that didn't have an unhelpful automated queuing system on it. I then emailed DHL to help, they pretty much told me that I needed to call, and thankfully gave me a number to speak to a human, who gave me the international tracking number (totally different from the info I had) and said I needed to look up Global tracking. I did just that and I saw that the parcel has been with customs for 12 days? It also informed me that the parcel will be delivered to the Post Office from 24 October to 31 October? The Post Office? This was supposed to be a door to door service!! Another update today stating that it's now only going to be delivered to the Post Office by end November? I am utterly appalled by this service. I honestly should have read what other customers have experienced before I used this company! It is really sad to think that DHL cannot even guarantee the safety of delivery of parcels we send. We put our trust in this company purely because it has been going for years, but that doesn't mean because it has that it is a GOOD company, which IT IS NOT!!!! I wish there was a company out there that cared about it's customers and the parcels they handle.”
