“I've spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to confirm I transferred sold tickets successfully. I even have confirmation from the buyers but Stubhub keeps emailing me saying I will not be paid and tickets are not transferred. Additionally, the page to confirm a transfer freezes up and never submits. I've tried contacting support and should not have to spend another hour of my time due to a broken system.”
“Purchased a parking permit, fees and the permit was $40. Arrived and the hotel provided parking so I was closer with the hotel parking to the venue than the parking permit lot. Asked ParkWhiz for a refund before the event time as per the instructions and they agreed and said call stubhub the seller because that is who the refund would go through. After talking to two levels of stubhub customer support I was denied the refund because their refund policey is absolutely no refunds, even though the vendor ParkWhiz agreed to return my money. WILL NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CERCUMSTANCES BUY ANYTHING THROUGH STUBHUB AGAIN!! Didn't know they were a third party vendor either, totally decietful!”
“I am searching for tickets for cold play, they are just resellers, the price is 200 eur more than the face price for the standing and if you want a seat the price is 1000+ for a ticket that costed 200. What a scam👎 do not buy from resellers that is what keeps the price up.”
“Stubhub provides the mailing label for sending to the purchaser of the tix, and the purchaser isn't available when deluvery attempts are made, becuase the mailing required a signature. After 2 attempts, the putchaser doesn't follow up and the seller gets blamed & charged a penalty fee. Because it is the sellers responsibility to be sure the tix get delivered. Stubhub doesn't provide contact information for the purchaser so the seller can call & tell them to get your tix that are trying to be delivered. Then stubhub lies & states the called me & no call received-i can see who calls, I have all the proof of attempts to deliver & door tags left, but it is my fault the purchaser didn't get. Don't use them or you can be charged a fee, which is 100% of the sell if the tix.”
“If I could give them a zero I would. I bought a ticket along with a parking pass to a recent MLB game. I'm in line for the parking garage but having received multiple messages from StubHub with an option to "View/Open Tickets", I could not get any of them to open. I tried downloading their app with hopes of opening, but no luck. I tried their app's Virtual Asst, again no luck. I searched the app, no Customer or Support Phone# to be found. By then, I'm at the garage attendant. As I was in a entry-only restricted lane to the garage, I was forced to pay by credit card to park...but I was lucky they weren't sold out. Even more infuriating was that it was only $30 onsite for the parking...the website had claimed parking was sold out, charged something like $118 for the spot and StubHub added a $49 fee. So the fee was alone was almost 1.5 times the actual cost.
I contacted StubHub about a refund. Claimed they can't do so as they have no record of me calling for assistance. Sure...no problem...I'd be happy to while operating a vehicle (thankfully in slowly moving garage queue), clicking around for the messages, waiting on downloads that never happened, pulling up & waiting on install of app, dealing with finding username & password for acct, unsuccessful ticket search, waiting on useless Virtual Asst, etc, and no visible listing of support contact phone number. After parking, it then took me almost 45 mins to manage pulling up the game ticket...I missed the first few innings of the game.
Posting negative reviews everywhere I can find, and filing complaint with the BBB.”
“I purchased two tickets for myself and my daughter for a Lainey Wilson concert. The tickets were originally 75 each. I paid StubHub over $725.00 for two tickets. This is completely unacceptable. This is price gouging and disgusting.”
“This is the response we got after them stealing our money. After blossom wouldn't allow us to use the parking pass they are selling.
Dear Megg,
We are contacting you regarding your order for PARKING PASSES ONLY Red Hot Chili Peppers on 22 July 2024.
I’m sorry to hear you are wanting to cancel as you were told by the venue that the parking pass would not be valid. Since the tickets have been made available to you by the seller, at this time we are not able to cancel the order.
Unfortunately, we aren’t able to issue a refund. In this case, we were not contacted within a time frame that would allow us to investigate what happened and try to fix it.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
Kind regards,
Gary”
“Scammers! Sold us two tickets for Formula 1 race in Budapest. After spending all
This money to get there and stay there we were denied entrance because the tickets were junior (for children) and we were not admitted. Sorry people shame on you!!!”
“Do NOT use StubHub!!! I used it to buy tickets a year ago. I keep getting fake emails that I've bought tickets to some recent concerts that i did NOT buy tickets to, telling me to contact so and so if i have any issues. TOTAL SCAM!!! FAKE AND UNTRUSTWORTHY!!! DO NOT USE!!!”
“I haven’t heard anything bad about stub hub. So I decided to purchase my ticket to the concert I planned on going to last night. I pitched my ticket with no problem and I got an email saying it was through a third party and i would get an email from them. I waited a few hours and I got an email from you guys stating “that ticket is no longer available so go back to website and pick out another seat”. How does that even happen? Becasue it absolutely shouldn’t. So I go back onto the website and guess what? Of course there was not any tickets that would have been acceptable for me. So I had ask for a refund and I am still waiting for that refund and I also was not able to go to the concert that I was looking forward to all week. That is all because of STUBHUB! So thanks for nothing other than I will never try to get any tickets from you guys again.”
“This company is a scam. They took over $1000 from me and never provided the tickets. They just kept saying "the tickets are coming". Never received them.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.”
“NOT A TRUSTWORTHY site to purchase tickets from. (Avoid)
They are known to oversell tickets. We brought GA tickets to a Collingwood Vs Hawks game 7 days prior to the match and never received a secondary confirmation e-ticket email. Only an email stating confirmation of purchase.
The online chat and “Agent” assistance is utterly useless. It purely wastes time apologising and repetitively stating that it’s “trying” to find an “alternative” ticket / site to get you in. In actuality, it’s pushing you to external links that only refund the order whilst you wait at your event ticketless.
Utter disgrace of a company. Utter disgrace of an assistance system. Utter disgrace”
“What a scam. We showed up at our event with tickets purchased through Stubhub and we could not get in because the person that sold them through Stubhub has purchased them with a stolen credit card. Stubhub denied this ever happened and was not helpful.”
“I wish I couldn't give any stars! They have yet to pay me out for ticket sales and are giving me the run around. They sent the payment to an incorrect email address for PayPal, then tell me to get in contact with PayPal to cancel out a payment, which I did. Did a three way call and then they tell me I have to just wait another 14 days, that I didn't need to contact Paypal because they escalated to the payment department. "Lester" was rude to myself and the PayPal representative right from the beginning of the call. He didn't even look at the notes on my account until I told him to, he was just was in a foul mood I guess. Completely unacceptable. I hate StubHub and will strongly suggest you use another company to buy and sell tickets!!”
“I had it listing under the mobile ticket transfer delivery method. My ticket didn't sell until the day of the event. I was given less than an hour to transfer my ticket. My ticket should not have been allowed to be listed under that delivery method if I would not be given adequate time to transfer the ticket. In the end, I re-uploaded the same ticket under and instantaneous delivery method and it sold, likely to the same buyer as I was able to contact them. StubHub charged me for not delivering my ticket in time when I was given less than 1 hour to transfer.”
“Neil Young tickets for the 2024 concert. Bought tickets for Austin, Texas on May 1, 2024 at Germania Ampitheater in Austin Texas. Concert was “postponed” due to inclement weather and rescheduled twice but eventually cancelled June 27, 2024. StubHub refusing ticket reimbursement saying it is postponed and using a May 23, 2024 announcement. Refusing to give us our money back. Isn’t that stealing? Keeping money for a cancelled concert and Germania Ampitheater in Austin REFUSING to put cancelled on their website even though it says all over the internet that the tour is cancelled. Have sent numerous messages to this bogus venue that has fallen on deaf ears. So… StubHub gets to keep money for a concert that is CANCELED . Makes me wonder if Germania Ampitheater is in cohoots with StubHub. Pathetic and stealing from innocent folks
We work hard for our money only to be ripped off by a disgusting dishonest company. I don’t get it. It is allowed and despite numerous phone calls and proof of cancellation we are told it is postponed.”
“StubHub was a total scam. I paid $565.00 for 2 tickets to a Broadway show. 3 weeks later, one day before the show, I still had not received tickets from the 3rd party seller. At that time I also noticed the PDF of the tickets on StubHub site were not what I ordered. I paid for Center Orchestra seats but instead they were giving me the right most seats in the right side section. Over the next 2 days I spent over 6 hours on the phone with various StubHub customer support people. Each one of them assured me they would get this fixed, but I never received any return calls as promised. They kept sending me links that did not work and stringing me along up until 90 minutes before showtime. Still unresolved I finally stopped trying and requested a refund. At this point I have little faith I will ever see a refund. I wasted many hours on the phone dealing with this and was resigned to not seeing the show. I was lucky to find 2 tickets to the show for the following night from the box office site. Better seats at a better price than what StubHub had offered. I believe this company is a scam.”
