“We bought tickets to a show at Fox theater. Paid almost 500 dollars but when we got there and tried to scan them they wouldn't work. The worker told us to go to the window so we did and they tried to scan them. They also didn't scan and the worker told us that the seats were already under someone else's name. Turns out StubHub sold us fake tickets. We ended up paying and EXTRA 100 DOLLARS for STANDING seats. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STUB HUB!!! THEY WILL SCAM YOU!!!”
“After an error with the order and transfer on a 2 day, 2 ticket order (we only got 1 night, SH found us alternative tickets. We were able to catch the 2nd half of night 1 (it took a while to get things resolved), and all of night 2. It would be 5 stars if it was faster service. Thank you.”
“I received the news from stub hub that my tickets have sold, and since then I’ve had nothing but trouble. Every email I get from Stub Hub requiring action on my part to completer the transfer where they tell me to fill out a form will not give me the option to submit or save. It’s a grayed out submit or save button, so I called customer service three times in three days and the people attempting to help me do not speak English well enough to assist me. At this point I am willing to let the $500 just go. I don’t care anymore. What a waste of a week of my time!”
“I purchased second hand tickets from someone on Stubhub. After receiving the tickets, I realized that they were NOT the tickets we agreed upon. It was a completely different section and not comparable. I went to StubHub customer service. They refused to give me a refund. Instead, they gave me a "credit" in which I had a certain amount of time to spend it. So.... I dealt with it and decided to just use the credit for a possible show in the future. I tried to use the credit months later to book the show. It hadn't reached the expiration date of the voucher code. However, the code WOULD NOT WORK. I called customer service again. They gave me ONE day to use the code. One of the stupidest inconveniences ever. Especially for something that wasn't even my fault to begin with... I've deleted the Stubhub app from my phone. Never again....”
“Purchased tickets (day of) to Duke Blue Devils vs. UNC Tar Heels to take our 6-yr old little girl to her first ever basketball game. We paid for the best tickets available (Section 19 Row E 17-19).
Based on the images provided by StubHub, these tickets were just feet from center court. Sadly, upon arrival to the iconic Cameron Indoor Stadium, we discovered that the image provided by StubHub was a serious misrepresentation of our view. Our actual view was beyond the baseline, beyond even the end of the visitor's bench. I called StubHub customer service (866-788-2482) to inquire about this misrepresentation after the game. Customer Service member, Ivy, while pleasant, simply offered me the explanation that StubHub is not responsible for the images and could not offer any support. I then asked to escalate to a supervisor. Ivy then said that I could speak to a supervisor, but the supervisor would only give me the same response. The supervisor, Glide, certainly delivered on Ivy's promise! Glide offered no help and simply evaded every reasonable question that I asked. Glide asked if I had a picture from the event that showed our vantage point. I was able to track down a photo eventually. I asked Glide if I could send it to her. Glide said it "would not be necessary". I inquired as to why she would have asked for it and what she could have done with it. She stuck with it "not being necessary". She said the situation would be escalated to the "relevant team" internally but went on to say that she "could not guarantee that anyone would contact me back" and hung up on me after I asked how to get in contact with that team. I made it abundantly clear that I did NOT want a refund, simply a "reasonable concession or a show of good will", on more than one occasion during our call. Think twice, maybe three or four times, before trusting StubHub to deliver on what they commit to based on their website's photos. Think even harder about what level of customer service you would expect from a "customer service" team. StubHub has been amongst the least "customer" focused customer service lines I have ever spoken with. While I very much enjoyed my time with my spouse and 6-yr old little girl, I did find the circumstances frustrating enough to try and support you, the future potential client of StubHub, from placing false hope in this ticketing service. My advice to you, try any other ticketing service before using StubHub. Any of them can provide ticket transfers, but at least others may actually care enough about their clients to offer at least a reasonable concession, or at least properly explore a legitimate concern.
Also worth noting, Glide said that I was "confused" and "failed to utilize all the resource to confirm my ticket choice" in response to my concerns about the photo that they provided on their website that they "are not responsible for". How would you feel as a consumer hearing that feedback from a service that slams a photo in front of you as an indicator of your view?
I spent over 68 minutes on the call. I have no sense that this issue will get reviewed by any internal team, let alone get resolved. Should the issue get resolved, I will be happy to edit this post. If no edit is posted, then assume that no reasonable concessions were made.”
“So tickets for show were great! I also ordered parking. The location was changed and this was originally seated for proximity to dinner and the show. Couldn't access parking by scanning! Had to take a ticket and paid again for parking. Very unsatisfied with this!”
