Regarding the timeline, after the airline failed to settle your claim within the legally required period, we formally escalated your case by assigning it to our legal team on July 3, 2024. From that point, the process was governed by external parties including courts, lawyers, and legal authorities, all of which operate on their own schedules and are largely outside of our direct control. Legal proceedings against airlines are inherently complex and unpredictable, with timelines affected by factors such as court availability, the complexity of the case, and any unforeseen legal developments that may arise. We acknowledge that the wait from July 2024 to the payment received on January 22, 2026 was significant, and we genuinely regret the frustration this caused. Regarding the cost, when a case is escalated to court and handled by our legal team, the applicable commission increases to 50% in accordance with our terms and conditions, which you agreed to at the time of signing. This reflects the significantly greater resources, expertise, and time invested by our legal team to pursue your compensation through the courts when the airline refused to pay voluntarily. Without this legal action, it is very likely that no compensation would have been received at all. We are sorry that the overall experience did not meet your expectations. We hope that despite the length of the process and the applicable fees, the fact that we successfully secured your compensation is of some reassurance. Terrible experience. I filled out the form and was then left in the dark for 6 months. After while I went about and opened my own claim with the airline which was settled within 3 weeks. Months later I get an invoice from AirAdvisor. They expect me to pay for work that I did! Stay away!

However, we would like to address the invoice matter as clearly and transparently as possible, as there are some important points we need to bring to your attention. When you submitted your claim through AirAdvisor, you entered into a signed agreement with us. This agreement explicitly states that once a claim has been filed on your behalf, you are not permitted to contact the airline directly or pursue the claim independently through any other channel. This clause exists for an important reason: airlines will often attempt to settle directly with a passenger after a third party has already submitted a claim, in order to avoid the additional costs associated with third-party proceedings. Based on our records, your claim had already been submitted to the airline on your behalf prior to you making direct contact with them. It is standard practice for airlines in such situations to process the compensation payment in response to the third-party claim while presenting the settlement to the passenger as if it were the result of their own independent contact. This does not change the fact that the work was initiated and carried out by our team. As a result, our success fee is fully applicable in accordance with the terms and conditions you agreed to at the time of signing, as well as our published price list available at https://airadvisor.com/en/pricelist.
