Went to Ilfracombe in November on a self drive the hotel was spotless and the staff were fantastic, food and entertainment Was excellent being a holiday town most places were shut at that time of year to be expected had a storm while there which broke the front door to the hotel the receptionist spent the whole day letting guests in and out even though it was freezing all with a smile would definately go with Alfa again

There was no problem on the journey to Newquay it started when we went into our room which is room 121 for future reference do not go in that room and I advise to ask when booking what room number you are in as it is not suitable to stay in as its small poor condition and no ventilation .It was a lovely warm day also week we went to open the window and my husband said don't open it outside was disgusting some sort of housing u it pipes which were open all very dusty and filthy. As we needed ventilation because of covid it was very worrying. We had to stay out of the room most of the day. I complained to the manager but there was no more rooms available. The toilet was very small you could not get changed as you could not turn around. And the seat did not fight. I left a letter with the manager but I think that ignored. Also we gave been in many hotels sand when if were asked if we wanted room service they meant any extras eg.drinks, meals etc,not meaning not to come in the room to tidy up,empty bins change towels and add tea coffee milk biscuits. I had to go down stairs to reception to get tea coffee biscuits and milk because the room was not checked. I thought I would have been compensated for our distress as we are 73 and 78 years old. I was having many conversations with Alfa but all to no avail.

Croit Anna hotel Excellent Fort William . would not use Alfa again picked up at 8.20am from Hessle(HULL)taken south to Woodford services M1 left at 12.15 to go north to Scotland which is ridiculous 4 wasted hours they need to get their route sorted out for people in east yorkshire. complained to customer services at Alfa did not get a reply. We do a lot of bus tours so we do know all about pickups and you travel to different towns not all these wasted hours

We were a party of 4 (young) old ladies and stayed at the Shanklin Hotel on the Isle of Wight for a 5 day Christmas Party. We were very pleased with our stay, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and we had entertainment each evening. A special word for Michael, our tour guide and coach driver. An excellent drive to our destination, very smooth. The excursions filled us with much information along the way as well as our visiting place. He is very knowledgeable and an asset to the company. He kept us abreast of what was going on and when it was happening. All in all a most enjoyable time and for an extremely reasonable price. We'll be travelling with Alfa again

Just returned from a festive special at George 1V Criccieth. Excellent holiday, great value for money. Coach driver Tony was helpful and pleasant, the staff were amazing and food plentiful and tasty. Looking at some of the reviews I don't know what people expect for the money they pay !! As for journey times they have to be coordinated to meet up at the interchange hence the extra stop offs. If you're not happy with the times then you can drive yourself as stated by the previous review This is our first Alfa trip and won't be our last.

I have just been reading all the reviews and the complaints. I have been to 4 hotels this year with Alpha. I have 1 more booked next week.Already booked 4 hols next year. Prior to lockdown I went on 2 hols a year For about 5 yrs. This surely shows MY opinion of service provided ( I have previously been with some other coach companies.)The complaint, which many people bring up, really is the length of journeys (made worse by Interchange system) but anyone can look at a map of their journey and work out beforehand what to expect!!! Please don't be put off!! The hotels are in great locations and I have found staff to always be friendly and seem to really want you to enjoy your stay.

Monarch hotel in Bridlington was very good. Very clean, with food well cooked and tasty. Craig our driver was relaxed and witty. The trips were excellent although York was a little too packed to enjoy. Half day to Beverley was a pleasant surprise as advertised as Minster visit. A lovely market town with shops to rival any city. On our return journey home we were taken to an old Mill, now converted into many outlet shops. Again unexpected and an pleasant surprise. All in all the weekend was excellent value for money and I hope that our next one booked for March will be equally enjoyable, although one reviewer here does not appear to have enjoyed the hotel experience so we shall have to wait and see and judge for ourselves. Paid for room with view but only partial, with many rooftops. Alfa kindly refunded extra paid, immediately. Thank you Alfa.

Just arrived home from a 3 night stay at the New Beach Hotel Great Yarmouth the hotel was very spacious our triple bedroom was lovely the entertainment was very good every night we was there the reason I have given only 2 stars is because the driver of our tour coach was the most ignorant man you could wish to meet, his name was Carl every time we asked any questions he was very sarcastic we do not expect this from a driver nearly half our age, we went on 2 organized what was supposed to have been half day trips, leaving the hotel at 9.45am arriving at Cromer at 11 am to be told to be back at the coach for 1pm WOW Never knew that was a half day the other trip was worse we only had an 1 hour could have done with roller skates. Now back the hotel meals and service started out out fine until an. extra coach arrived one evening so the next morning at breakfast our coach was totally forgotten, we sat waiting for or our food until thy had served the other coach the whole dinning room was in uproar so disgusting tried to speak to the Manager but he was too busy too see us The next evening, my 48 year old Daughter who has problems with swollowing and eating had been given a soft diet ie jacket potato, etc when asking the waitress for this they promptly told us they did not have any, we asked for the Manager again this time we managed to see him who said they have 2 sacks of potatoes, who is telling porkys now!!!! Asked to have all our meals together it was Fish and Chips for my friend and myself it took nearly an hour to bring our meals and ours were so disgusting they had been reheated, we sent all the meals back and went out for food Please do not use Alfa Travel if you want a good holiday you will certainly not get one here

They're great at taking your money for the holidays but don't want to know about any complaints. Can definitely say don't go to Queens hotel in Eastbourne. No one wants to know about any complaints until the night before you check out. You've warned by T. Crowley of Birmingham

Travelled to Blackpool from Manchester with Alfa . Hotel Was ok food ok but the travelling was a nightmare. On the way there after leaving Burtonwood we was taken to a garden centre for 2 hours as we could not book into hotel until 3 pm . On the return journey we was picked up from hotel at 10am and the dropped at Southport for 2 and a half hours before being taken to Burtonwood to get on coac for our return to Manchester . It was turned 5pm when we got back to Middleton a journey that took over 7 hours for a journey that is less than 1 hour by car. This is the second alfa trip that we have been in in less than 4 months the other being to Eastbourne in august and the journey took less time than than the return from Blackpool . Sorry Alfa this will be the last trip we take with Alfa not acceptable.

Be Careful if you book with this company.I booked a coach holiday by phone took out insurance as advised. I did not receive any documents from them apart from the tickets near to the holiday. The day before the holiday I became unwell high temperature etc. I checked Alpha travel information which said if you were feeling unwell not to travel. It did not say if you do not travel you will loose your holiday money. I contacted the insurance company and because I did not have a positive PCR test I was not covered. I did query with Alpha travel I had not received my invoice I was told they had problems with their post. To date i have not received any information about the insurance I paid for not had the opportunity to read terms and conditions. Alpha now say they did send the documents and invoice. Customer service very unhelpful. They refuse to comment on the fact that they advise not to travel if unwell but does not say you will loose your holiday and money. I have not had my holiday and lost every penny I paid for it. I will never travel with this company again.

Coach company Grayway contracted by Alfa Travel for Torquay holiday, Hotel Metropole, September 2021 with extremely rude and disrespectful driver Geoff! Geoff left early on one of the included day trips leaving us behind and when telephoned by the hotel reception, refused to turn back to collect us even though he’d only been gone a few minutes saying he was on a duel carriageway which was later disproved by the couch tachograph. When we approached Geoff and asked why he’d left early and not returned he became extremely petulant, was rude and aggressive in manner showing no concern whatsoever regarding our spoiled day and even laughed saying we owed him an apology before walking away. Alfa passed our complaint on to Grayways Management who took no action saying that their braver was a jovial character and refused to take the complaint seriously and offered no apology saying only they considered it out of character. Alfa eventually offered us £10.00 each, total £20.00, in compensation for the missed trip saying they will monitor the driver Geoff in future. We are appalled at the apathetic attitude by the Grayway management to our complaint and their protective stance toward their driver which we find totally inconsiderate as well as unprofessional. We are in our 70s and 80s and found this very upsetting and distressful on what should have been a relaxing and carefree holiday and feel that the driver Geoff let’s the side down against Alfa’s own, employee drivers who have always been pleasant, courteous and helpful. Truly. Mr Stephen Taylor. Southport.
