“I got onboard with Amazon right from the start, over 20 years ago and have had hundreds of items from them, with very few problems at all. However, a family member ordered an expensive watch from them recently and received a box which was completely empty. The box was handed over directly from the Amazon courier (the family member even had to give a code to the courier before he would hand it over) so it was direct from Amazon, not left anywhere, so no chance of theft at our end. We had the outer wrapping, and the correct presentation box for the watch, but the watch itself was missing - at a loss of hundreds of pounds. Obviously, a mistake had been made at the Amazon end - either a genuine stock mistake, or theft at their depot (?) but Amazon insisted that it was nothing to do with them and told the family member to go to the police, despite the fact that the family member had been shopping with Amazon for around 10 years and had an impeccable purchase record. The family member went to the police, who (not surprisingly) said that it was nothing to do with them, because no reportable crime had been committed. After several attempts with Amazon on the phone, the situation (the watch was meant to be a birthday present) started to stress the family member so much that she actually decided her own mental health was more important than the money, so she simply gave up, losing hundreds of pounds. I call ed Amazon on her behalf, but they would only deal with the account holder. I could not believe that Amazon would be so dismissive of a customer who has shopped with them hundreds of times over the past 20 odd years, but that's exactly what happened. My advice to anyone would be to think very carefully before buying something expensive from Amazon, because if you are unlucky enough to receive just an empty box, how are you going to prove that to them?”

“Again a delivery from Amazon, an expensive watch, left outside by the bins. Why not ring the doorbell as have been in waiting. I had somethings delivered recently which were soaked with the rain.”

“Lately Amazon falling so badly!!! Deliveries are beyond the joke! Items although not arriving at all or you wait up to 22:00 just to learn at 22:15 that the item might be delivered next day and if not they will give you money back- that’s what is for a premium membership Not mentioning that originally the item meant to arrive the day before!!! Too many times happened, going to quit as the quality doesn’t exists anymore”

“In my experience Amazon have been fantastic. I always get my deliveries on schedule, I can find pretty much anything I desire on Amazon and for the £10 Prime service, you get access to so much! Music, films, programs, audio books, gaming and faster delivery times. What is there not to love? They also keep you updated and informed as to where your parcels are and when they will be delivered. Highly recommended.”

“Since 2011 always been excellent customer service who put the customer first, which is why to this day I always try and purchase from Amazon first - excellent back up and safety net and I rarely require to return, but when I have there have been no issues.”

“I use my partners account on a weekly basis where I purchase so many thing from clothes food drink toys even to car spares it truly is an awesome shopping tool not to mention the tv streaming service that comes as part of the prime package faultless fast friendly and great prices”
