“I ordered some cockeral feathers from an Amazon associate (very cheap admittedly) and they didn't arrive for over a month. What I hadn't understood (being old and naieve) was that the feathers were coming from China. They'd been stuffed into an envelope, and fell out all over the place when opened.. And they weren't exactly what I'd imagined, like big and colourful, more like dowdy old hen's feathers grey and brown. I'd hoped for something to use in a decorative sculpture, instead I chucked them in the bin.”

“Have ordered tons of stuff on Amazon. Very few issues. Recommend studying the evaluations carefully before placing any large $$ item order. On clothing it is really hit or miss. Almost all of my issues have been with clothing. Many issues with fit not according to size chart, and quality being sub-par. Be ready to be able to send any large $$ item back before you commit to buying. Sometimes it is better and worth the hassle to be able to see and handle the merchandise in a store.”

“This is only the second time that I have purchased from the Amazon web site. This time it was an electric fireplace insert. Although the item has not yet been delivered the process of reviewing the item, seeing the specs and details, and ordering the item was very easy. I like to see items physically so will probably be a bricks and mortar shopper most of the time, but ordering from Amazon is a pleasant experience. Let's hope the item is as shown.”
