“The Appliance Direct purchase was very good, thanks. What wasn't good is that you have Evri deliver the goods. I had a bad experience with the delivery of my second parcel bought from you, so much so, I canceled it. I have sent that feed back to you, so if you read it you will understand this reveiw. “The induction hob I ordered arrived inadequately packaged (single walled cardboard and minimal polystyrene support) and had been smashed to pieces. Although there was no problem initiating a return, I wasn’t able to get a replacement sent out until the damaged item had been received back at the warehouse. Once it was, the replacement process was fairly smooth (I had to ask twice). The replacement packaging was no different and had had to be taped together by DPD. Fortunately the hob was undamaged.”

“Two weeks waiting, wrong items delivered, two further delivery failures and terrible customer service Absolutely dreadful experience with Appliances Direct. I ordered a Beko integrated heat pump tumble dryer around two weeks ago, which we specifically needed for our ongoing kitchen installation. The first delivery was scheduled for last Friday. Appliances Direct called me the day before and I explained that nobody would be home because we would both be at work. I was advised to allow the delivery to proceed anyway and that if nobody was home, it would simply be rearranged. Following this, delivery was rearranged for Tuesday 18 August. The drivers arrived and, unbelievably, instead of my tumble dryer they attempted to deliver a radiator and an extractor hood, neither of which I had ordered. My tumble dryer wasn't on the delivery at all. I contacted Appliances Direct again and the dryer was rearranged for delivery the following morning, Wednesday 19 August, between 7am and 10am. 10am came and went. By 11:20am there was still no delivery and no useful communication from Appliances Direct, so once again I had to chase them. After spending around 15 minutes on hold, I was eventually told that my tumble dryer wasn't on this delivery either. At this point I had completely lost confidence that Appliances Direct were actually capable of getting the appliance to me. We are in the middle of having our kitchen fitted and the dryer was required for the installation. Because of these repeated failures, I have now had to order the same appliance from Currys and pay an additional £45 for next-day delivery so that it arrives tomorrow morning. The delays have also disrupted our kitchen installation and resulted in additional fitter costs. I asked Appliances Direct whether they would reimburse the £45 next-day delivery charge that I have only incurred because they failed to supply the appliance. They refused. Mistakes happen. If one delivery had gone wrong and Appliances Direct had quickly corrected it, I would have accepted that. But this has been a catalogue of errors. I followed their instructions regarding the original Friday delivery. On the rearranged delivery, they turned up with a radiator and extractor hood instead of a tumble dryer. They then specifically rearranged the correct appliance for the following morning, gave me a 7–10am delivery slot, left me waiting beyond that slot with no meaningful update, and when I eventually chased them I discovered the dryer wasn't even on the delivery again. What has made the situation considerably worse is the lack of ownership. I have repeatedly had to chase Appliances Direct myself, spend time on hold, reorganise our kitchen installation and ultimately purchase the appliance elsewhere at additional cost. I've now requested cancellation and a full refund and have raised a formal complaint. Based on my experience, I would not order from Appliances Direct again. If you need an appliance to arrive by a particular date, especially if you have tradespeople waiting to install it, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.”

“Bought a BoschAmerican fridge freezer a NEFF 5 burner gas hob and a Elica extractor for my kitchen remodel All appliances were purchased 6 weeks before I wanted delivery this was not a problem for them a delivery date was agreed and communication from them with updates was very good unfortunately the extraction fan was damaged on delivery a quick phone call and collection was arranged for the next day as soon as it had arrived back at the warehouse a replacement was sent overnight no questions no problems Thoroughly recommend and will use again if needed”
