Poor service for returns. The company barred my mobile number because they knew I was going to call almost straight away to return it. I admit I should’ve kept the box; however on first instinct of keeping the item; I asked them to take it away as there was no way of storing a 65” tv box in our home. They then refuse to send it back when I request a return. All around poor service from a company that generally offer good deals. They also claim to have “high volume of calls and to call back in 11 minutes” (every call made) which had to be made through the landline since being barred (for whatever reason that was). They should’ve jumped to help when I told them I needed to return; instead I’m running around after them. Not happy.

Customer service, a joke, customer couldn't give a damn service. Got a problem ring Bryn, totally useless individual who will escalate your complaint, yeah, straight into his waste bin. E-mail Liam, just the same response, useless. In the eyes or their CEO, they are doing a good job at fobbing off customer complaints, but have no respect for customers whatsoever. Lesson learnt, will never ever buy from this company again.

Shocking aftercare. Freezer stopped working completely within the first three months. Communication a nightmare, they just do not respond and when they do they don't want to know. Freezer fixed six weeks later. We are now a further 3 months on and the freezer has stopped working again. Appliances Direct are not interested, customer services working from home can't or won't help and apparently it is not far enough down the line to warrant a call from management! Emailed customer care manager numerous times but never received a response. As far as they are concerned it's the problem of the manufacturer (CDA) who are not responding either. As far as I understand my contract is with Appliances Direct. I have purchased a freezer that is not fit for purpose. Next stop charge back. Management at Appliances Direct, please feel free to get in touch, we would welcome the opportunity to speak to you.

I would NEVER buy anything from this company again. I bought a 55" television that went wrong within the warranty. I was told to package it, at my cost, to have it collected. Three times they went to an old address, causing me to have time off work. The television has been in use for 18 months and the picture has gone. They have told me that as its out of warranty, they will not do anything about it. I clearly would expect a television to have a longer life than 18 months. VERY unhelpful!!!

Dont be conned by their offer of a complete service! I ordered a fridge freezer from you for one reason only, you offered a full service which I needed e.g. Order, delivery and recycle. The last element was the critical difference within the timeframe I had. The item was delivered to our holiday home on time and first thing. I received 2 emails and one message telling me what to do with thje recycled item; disconnect it, leave it in an accessible place and most importantly ensure it is dry and no water inside. I diligently did all of the above. When the driver rang me to tell me he would be with me in and hour I told him that the recycled item was waiting in the correct condition he said they didn't collect another van did that. Smelling a rat I tried to contact your office but it was pre-9am. THEN Suddenly a text arrives telling me that you cant recycle the old one and I would have to get rid of it myself. I would be refunded my £19.99. I then got an email n a somewhat congratulatory style from yourselves 2 hrs later telling me that I had been refunded. If you could not do the recycling I'd have bought it from Currys and had the whole thing done next Tuesday with free delivery. Instead you left me with the problem!! I have managed to get a man and a van to recycle it for me for £50!! and it will go later this afternoon as I'm not allowed to have it sitting outside my lodge. Having worked in retail for 30 years pre retirement your service is appalling and I will not buy anything from you again as telling me 20 mins pre delivery that you cant collect is shocking practise! I would be ashamed. I warn other people of your poor practise. Would never use again!

Terrible service, my dishwasher arrived with a broken door lock making it unusable. I tried to call but after going through many menu's I got disconnected every time that I finally got the option to speak to a human "The number you are calling is not recognised" I sent an e-mail with photos. It took 6 days for a response, they offered me £20! I replied immediately that the product is unusable and needs replacing. I waited 7 days for a reply. This reply referred to my "washing machine" when in fact I bought a dishwasher. I was now being offered £30. I again explained that I want a replacement once again saying my item is NOT cosmetically damaged it is mechanically broken and using it would flood my kitchen. I have waited 7 days for a reply and nothing. I now have a broken dishwasher sitting in my living room. I tried calling again today at 14.00 to hear a recorded message that lines were closed for the day due to high volumes of calls and to try again tomorrow. This is totally unacceptable. I won't be using them again.

Absolutely disgusting company to buy from brought a new frost feee fridge freezer for 8 months later the fridge does not go cold and the freezer called company to have an engineer tell me the fan has frozen up on a frost free freezer this should not happen I lost £100 worth of food with 3 children to feed in a global COVID 19 pandemic I have so far had to go two week without a working fridge freezer and £100 loss of food this company has dealt with this so poorly I am now going to trading standards and a solicitor DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY SALE FAULTY GOODS

APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE, CHERRY PICKING REVIEWS. Every chance this will get removed before many people read it as apparently the reviews for this company are cherry picked. Machine was damaged in transit. I have been battling for 5 days for a replacement, and been made to feel like I've been done a favour for it to finally be replaced. Flat out refusal to reimburse my launderette costs. Misleading and inaccurate information from each customer service person I spoke with and refusal to put me through to managers. A nice apology by email but not backed up with appropriate actions. Quite simply the worst appliance company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM THIS COMPANY. I would never order an item online again from Appliances Direct. I have always purchased in store with no issues, but their protocol on returns with online orders is both unfair and slow. I purchased a microwave classed as A2 (Minor cosmetic damage) and advised it had a small dent on the door, when the package arrived the dent was actually not minor and on the corner of the door so the dent was actually kinked. I subsequently processed a return and advised the item was classed as unwanted, therefore returns postage was to be borne by me (the consumer), I deemed this item miss-sold and their interpretation of minor damage was different to mine. Their returns advise was tracked delivery so the cost was £23.36, I argued this to no avail, plus they deducted their delivered charge of £9.99 on the original refund. I even offered to personally drop the goods off at their East Midlands depot but this suggestion was rejected and Appliances Direct insisted on me returning goods to their Elland depot, I felt my offer to return item was reasonable. After many e-mails they have refused to refund the £23.36 return delivery charge and the microwave is now advertised on their website for £114.97 which I purchased for £144.06 + £ 9.99 delivery! Maybe this reduced price is a reflection of Appliances Directs interpretation of Minor cosmetic damage!

Long story short. Ordered oven. Paid extra for delivery on a Saturday. No delivery. Call customer service @ 13p a minute. Go through all the press 1 for... for press 2 for.... trash, this takes over two minutes. Get left on hold for over ten minutes, all at your cost. Got told oven will be delivered Monday. Delivery arrives Monday. No oven but a cooker hood. Go through all the customer service rubbish on phone again. Wait ten minutes, call answeared then hung up straight away. Call again waiting 15 minutes. Cant explain everything as have to go to work. Ask for a call back, which was agreed. No call back. This happens time and time again. They never call back. Which means they make more money by phoning them. Asked for full refund. No refund until they get cooker hood back first. Plus they want us to put the boxed cooker hood in another box in case of damage whilst its in transport. More expense. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS INEPT AND REPULSIVE COMPANY.

We should have paid more attention the other reviews - if you deal with jokers expect to be tricked. Be very careful to note the wording on the delivery terms ! They've charged us £59 for a 'failed delivery' but they didn't even try to get it in the house. On the actual delivery day the very first thing the delivery driver said was 'you know this is doorstep only don't you' which isn't quite the wording on the website. The website states that with American Fridges if it doesn't fit then they will leave it outside - crucial word is 'if'. Our driver didn't even have a tape measure, let alone use one, and wouldn't take it down the side the house because it 'required lifting' which is against their delivery policy. He 'knew' it wouldn't fit through the door and wouldn't allow me to measure the box to verify. Despite our protests they are adamant that it is our fault he didn't try and are insistent on the charge. We gave up with them and ordered from ao.com who matched the price and delivered 48 hours later - with a tape measure and through the front door, still in the box!

Ordered a A1 kitchen Taylor and Moore sink, It was confirmed to me that the sink was undamaged 100% and it had been checked all over. Sink arrived payed for next day delivery , received no message of my 1 hour delivery slot , so had to stop in all day. Opened the box and took the sink out , a corner was bent in and cut, yes 1.2mm steel , cut, contacted Appliances direct , that took ages, would not send a replacement out until they had the so called damaged sink back , also said it was impossible for the sink have been damaged before despatch, I did say the damaged corner was covered by protection and it would not be possible to have been damaged by delivery , It cost me to have a day off for delivery , AD not bothered about this cost , I asked for a SAT delivery for a new sink, got told they dont deliver on SATURDAYS, web page says they do, They did offer a small refund if I kept the sink customer service agent .more concerned in denying damage done before despatch , but to me damage was dangerous , not bothered about customer satisfaction , so i refused .I did ask for compensation considering it was their mistake , I had to take the damaged item to a collection point ,and that we are without a sink no response. The only response was , we will offer a refund after we have received the damaged item, and that the item was ONLY damaged by delivery driver . My first buying experience from Appliances direct and by far the worst customer service

Purchased zanussi tumble dryer december 2015 couldnt deliver until 11th january. went wrong on friday 12th feb 2016. NO engineer available until tuesday 23rd february! disgracful incompetant company if you want my advice talk to a brick wall instead of appliances direct they are not interested once they have your money! not in the slightest way a trustworthy company may be slightly cheaper than other places but learn from our mistakes people pay more from a reputable company you'll get a decent service. This company does not warrant one star, all their staff do is apologise repeatedly NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SATISFACTION

DO NOT TAKE OUT THE WARRANTY FOR LIFE!!!! No issues getting my washing machine delivered but now I need an engineer as its developed a fault I cannot get hold of the company! They ignore my e messages and every time I call I get through to an answer machine and my messages get ignored!!!

I ordered a kitchen sink from Appliances Direct, the goods were damaged and were sent back by the courier. Appliances Direct said I'd taken delivery which I hadn't. The goods are listed with the courier as returned to sender, delivered back to Appliances Direct. All emessage communications between me and Appliances Direct have disappeared, and they are not deviating from insisting that I have taken delivery of goods that never arrived. They still have all but £9.95 of the money I paid them, and trying to get a refund of the rest is like getting blood out of a stone. I will never be using this company again. They continue to ignore all communications I send to them.

Brought a Dishwasher on line, when it arrived it had a fault, they refused to take this back without a manafactures fault number, which takes over a week to get and required a service engineer visit, when I talked to there Customer Service (i use the term lightly), they refused to help at all (despite the no quibble returns policy) . Go to AO.com there you get excellent service. I will never use Appliance Direct again.

If you have any sence Do Not Buy of This Sham & Uncaring Company I purchased a Microwave which was found to be Faulty I emailed the So Called Customer Service to arrange for it to be collected and sent back Only to be told they donot arrange a pick up service and I would have to Return it to a Click & Collect Shop. I explained that i had difficulty in Walking And unable to carry a Heavy Item as a Microwave. They did not even have The good manners to reply to my email. Thankfully a kind neighbour took The Item to the Click & Collect for me without his help i dont know what i Would have done. DO NOT BUY OF THIS HORRIBLE SO CALLED COMPANY.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! If you receive a damaged item (which seems likely based on other reviews posted here) they will do everything possible to avoid giving you a refund. After receiving a damaged cooker all of my emails were met with a short, grammatically poor, rude reply refusing to help. They have even accused me of damaging the cooker myself. Absolutely terrible, easily the worst company I have ever had to deal with.

Disappointing and inefficient service, I would never use them again. We have ordered a washing machine from this company. The delivery team was brusk and unfriendly to my wife, they have damaged our flooring and despite having paid for an installation they have not done it. Worst of all the machine is faulty and despite claiming on their website that: "Our flexible no fuss policy for dealing with faulty goods is intended to ensure you get the fastest resolution possible and minimise the time you are without a working item" I have first to wait for and AEG engineer to come next week to have a look at the device before any further steps can be taken. That leaves us without a working washing machine for at least 10 days.
