Do not insure with Aviva for car insurance. They are unable to process claims in a timely manner or consistently provide the courtesy car cover you pay extra for. Even their chief executives office is under strain as their "Senior Management Complaints Specialists" haven't updated in weeks. Looking on this site, many are having the same issues as us so they are probably overwhelmed. Aviva issues: - problems organising a car tow to a garage - unsure whether car is repairable - no communication or updates - awaiting pre-accident valuation pay out for 8.5 weeks - hire agreement for courtesy car (we paid extra for) repeatedly terminated and we are left without a car. hire agreements should be automatically linked to the claim, such that if the claim is ongoing the hire agreement continues -repeatedly told claim will be completed within 3 to 5 working days Please look for a better insurer. Or you'll be having to ask the ombudsman to intervene.

I was involved in a car accident that was absolutely in no way my fault but the other driver claimed that it was! Nightmare! It resulted in a 21 month wait to get to court. Communication only really started when a legal firm got in touch a couple of months before the court case to prepare. There was very little communication from Aviva prior to this. Do yourself the biggest favour possible and use a dash cam as it could save you no end of hassle. I was told prior to going into the court room that the onus was on our side to prove the case but not to hold out much hope of that happening. Despite this I was fully vindicated by a very good judge and was also helped by a less than impressive cobbled together case against me.

I have a pension that has just matured that was in the with profits scheme that was due a 12% bonus on completion around £5000. On maturity I find all of my funds were moved out of with profits by aviva shortly before maturity, hence robbing me of £ 5000. Aviva can do this without telling you under the diguise of life styling where they protect you by moving it and lose you £ 5000. Aviva are scammers on a grand scale beware and move your funds, life styling is worse than PPI and the FSA will get them eventually. TERRIBLE COMPANY FOR EVERYTHING WHETHER INSURANCE OR PENSIONS.

Almost impossible to get in touch with Aviva as they do not answer phone calls. Put me on hold for good part of an hour. There is an option for a call back but I never actually get a call returned. Terrible company to deal with. Avoid at all cost.

Trying to cash in my policy after 30 years of paying monthly deposits out for the account I want the funds returned to - and somehow I have to jump through three months worth of proof of identity hoops. Submitted the same documents that have been accepted by another UK financial institution this month (EXACTLY the same) and yet Aviva rejects them. Customers be warned... just when you most need the funds, Aviva may find a legitimate-sounding excuse to not send them to you. I wouldn't save with them again.

This is AVIVA UK - No money after 25 years. This is AVIVA UK. After 25 years - our policy matures. It takes months to make a payout. Standard Life, with the same information and same 25 years policy - paid out much faster. AVIVA - keeps on coming back with extra questions before they pay out. Each questions is reasonable in itself. But they DO NOT ASK THE QUESTION. EVERYTHING GOES INTO "PAUSE". No questions so no answers - and so NO ACTION.... until a few more weeks pass by. The they say - they will pay out if we answer their questions... AS IF!!! DO NOT TRUST AVIVA with your endowment policies. Everything is is fine for 25 years as you pay in. JUST DO NOT EXPECT TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK! Date of experience: November 17, 2022

I waited one hour before someone answered the phone then they put me on hold and I waited another hour and put the phone down as they never got back to me , how bloody frustrating. It’s not the first time either it’s happened, what a bloody company. I think they need to employ more staff to answer the bloody phones.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!!!! I cannot believe how unprofessional this company have been throughout. I have since February of this year been trying to access 25% of my pension fund. I have literally jumped through hoops, spent hours and hours on the phone trying to speak to someone. Asked to resend numerous documentation, which has been acknowledged as received only to be asked to resend by another member of staff from this shambolic company. Today 30th September I am once again being asked again for same documentation I’ve sent at least three times, each time I’ve had originals sent back and accompanying letter saying everything has been received in order to process my claim, I’ve still not received a payment although it was promised by a ‘senior supervisor’ to be in my account by start of this week. I literally do not know what to do… Shame on you!!!
