Bathroom suit is 4 month old and the bath developed a hairline crack neither b&q want anything to do with it so the 5 year gurantee they give is useless . Maybe it only covers theft of the bath. Think twice before parting with your money its seems once they ve done the sale they not interested

Coventry.... Please whatever you do don't have the home fit total incompetence the fitter we had was awful turned up 3days late to start, was cutting everything inside the kitchen/dining area mess everywhere we left him to it while we were at work 🙈 The mess was awful, wouldn't communicate with you just tried to do his way & when we confronted him he went in a mood his attention to detail was laughable cut joints stood out like a sore thumb could not do the work top (earthstone) joints what you are not supposed to see you could see off the top deck of a bus 🚌 and ther was a colour variation what he never mentioned just carried on, any way to cut a long story short we had him kicked off the job, fit started End of Jan 2017 completed March 17th, Home fit team don't pass messages on project manager don't return calls constantly chasing them. This was supposed to be a one week installation STRESS FREE!!!!!!!!!!! What a joke

I contacted b and q to do fitted kitchen and bathroom I'm highly disgusted at the service I received firstly when kitchen was done and presses fitted u could put your hand in and the shelves weren't even secured into back if the wall my hand could go right down inside it the tiling was a disgrace that they done and grout was used over the plugs where it looked a sight to see and was completely unprofessional the bathroom bath had to be taken out three times it was out in wrong the toilet when fitted was actually sideways when it was supposedly complete I felt I was loosing my mind and to add insult to injury when manager came out and looked after I telling them where the issues were he looked into the badly done job in presses saying where's the problem again and it so plain to be seen the sink that was fitted I cannot use cause once we put the plug down the water keeps running down the hole cause plug wasn't fitted properly to make sure water would fill the sink this was another issue after the bath was done I came to view the work and was disgusted I found the shower door was installed incorrectly and it was done to cover up a major hole in my new bath the workers had done I couldn't believe what was happening in my home if I got two teenagers they prob would have done a better job the quality is absolute crap there stuff it really is since then a toothbrush holder fell into my sink and cracked it causing a big hole it shows the quality and it was very expensive I would never again have this company steal my money because it's exactly what thry did and to everyone out there don't get them it will be your ruination

We are currently in the process of renovating our house. As part of this we have had all the walls re-plastered. The guy doing the plastering and decorating has worked for me for years and knows his stuff. All walls were mist coated and primed before the top colour going on, all the other walls in the house have covered fine, including another dark wall in the master bedroom which covered beautifully in three coats. The guest bedroom we chose a lovely rich red / burgundy colour for one of the walls. After 7 coats and 5 litres of Valspar premium paint it still wasn't covered, it's still picture framing and patchy. I went back to my local b&q and was advised to leave the room "as is" as Valspar would probably want to send a technician to see the wall, I was given a number to contact b&q customer services. I contacted them and we started an email conversation. At their request I sent pictures of the wall at various stages, the paint, the batch number etc etc, after a week of hearing nothing I contacted them again to ask if someone was going to come and take a look, the room is still out of action and the bed which has been moved is now damaging the new carpet. I told them this needed to be resolved asap otherwise the carpet would need replacing. I was told 'we're waiting for valspar' another week passed and several more emails chasing what was going on and I then get an email saying that the reason it's taken so many coats is becuase we didn't prime the wall!! Are they serious!!! We'd already told them it had been primed and even sent the photos!!! It's cost me 3 days of a decorators time instead of a day and a half, it's going to cost me another day to get more paiting done, plus my time and fuel to go to the store to get more paint plus now the carpet is damaged and will need to be replaced, b&q couldn't give a damn!! All they offered me was another tin of paint, I then threatened to take them to court and they also offered me a £100 voucher! What a joke, I'm going to be nearly a £1000 out of pocket becuase of their rubbish paint!! So b&q, I've got nothing to loose and the court papers will be filed. I'll see you there!

Arranged installation of bathroom early November.Had to wait until late Feb for start, then fitter let me down two days running saying he had to finish off another job.Fitter turned up unexpectedly and very early on occasions, claiming he asked the Homefit team to let me know.No phone call.Advised asbestos concrete pipe by loo had to be removed, not mentioned in survey, cost me £250. Then advised I had to wait a further wk to continue any work.Poor customer service and communication throughout.Would not use again.

So many things have gone wrong with b and q we ordered bedroom furniture would told the handles was not in stock and they'd get them in shortly after me the customer ringing round every store I was told it's not worth there while just sending me handles in the end I finally got them. I have also bought a kitchen from these guys where loads of stuff in the delivery was missing after the lady forgetting to put some stuff on the order which cost a further 150pounds! Not my problem she left them off and being told a day before the sink was not in stock I was then told I could have it a week later but was told yet again the day before it's not in stock I have ended up getting this sink from screwfix who also sell Cooke and lewis they just don't advertise it! Now the lady who done our plan has cocked up on the plan so we now have a worktop that don't fit on the island which now means we have to cut all the cupboards down and buy a bigger worktop all cause b and q are to dumb to do anything when they should be sending someone round to check this word of advise never buy a kitchen from b and q they are the most useless people and.most definitely the worst customer experience I have ever had!

Had a lovely visit to the Barrow-in-furness branch where a very helpful lady called Michelle helped us in the Kitchen Showroom department. She did everything she possibly could to help us find what we were looking for and we will certainly go back to B & Q again.

I am in thr process of having a kitchen fitted, the were multiple omissions from the order abd the replacements were broken or insufficient. The fitted installed the integrated washer an a worktop offcut. managed to reverse the flow of water cold water into the header tank, left a socket hanging off the wall, made more than a dozen major installation errors. Installed the units before plastering, disconnected the outside water supply. Cut off the electricity supply in another room defrosting the fridge freezer. The installation is going into the third week with no completion. Tomorrow I will review all the problems with it and see what he has to say before raising a dispute with B&Q and commencing legal proceedings in the shortest possible time to remediate the kitchen. Grossly Incompetent.

Attended halesowen b and q on sunday 26th. Asked about a specific sander was told they were out of stock, i asked if bilston shop had any and was told to look on internet. Another question was about door sizes and was told to look in the leaflets provided i looked for the leaflets but all the holders were empty so asked another assistant who said "weve run out" they just could not be bothered to even try to be helpful i felt i was being a niusance they seemed more interested in having conversations amongst themselves. I shall be going a little further afield in future to homebase where they go out of their way to help you

B&Q fitted my kitchen 5 months ago, still trying to get work completed. It's been a nightmare trying to get the work finished to an acceptable standard. Electrics were not installed correctly; tiles left broken and oversized overhanging trims, thick with filler; and sink was leaking. They also charged me for work that was not carried out by the workman, and failed to refund me when I pointed this out. They have failed to assist me to finish my kitchen, they have left a mess and a massive dent in my bank balance. I advise anyone thinking of using the service to reconsider.

I bought a dimmer switch and had difficulty fitting it, due to its inept design. Then I received an invitation to submit a review of the product, which I did, warts and all. An hour later I received an e-mail from B&Q saying that they could not publish my review, because "it didn't meet their guidelines"! Guidelines which presumably include 'don't say anything critical about our products'. Well, sorry B&Q, you've permanently lost me as a customer and I'll make sure I tell all my friends, colleagues and acquaintances to avoid B&Q too.

I purchased 3 soft close ' loo' seats in September -costing well over £100 - having just moved house- two were of one type but the third was different and this one has started to corrode on the metal parts and delaminate on the seat itself. This was fitted to a cloakroom so gets very little use. Took it back today (130217)- duly cleaned disinfected and wrapped in cling film- where the Manager 'Chris' at the Camborne Cornwall Branch refused to exchange or refund because I didn't have the receipt (who keeps receipts for everything they purchase ? ) A generally obnoxious attitude -suggesting I could have bought it at a car boot sale! Stated he knew all about the Sale of Goods Act and refused to telephone his Head Office for guidance which I suggested - not his job to phone them! I may not have the receipt but I do have the Credit Card transaction record! Trading Standards next after the formal letter of complaint to the Head Office. What a waste of time simply because of a 'jobsworth'. The good news is that Wickes are nearer!

A boiler was fitted in my 88 year old mothers house in 2013 the boiler keeps breaking down, it was only fitted a week when we had to call out the engineers and this has been the case since and every 3/4 months we have to call out an engineer to fix this boiler. I was told that there must be a leak somewhere so I called in an independent engineer who found 2 couplings loose and tightened them but the boiler is still breaking down, SIME sent out an engineer who took the boiler apart then said that is it fixed and it is still breaking down. I called B&Q today and they said it is SIME to blame, I said this is the last straw only to be hung up on by the B&Q employee. I then spoke to SIME who said it was B&Q's fault, not one of these companies are willing to take the blame and fit a new boiler for an 88 year old woman who has the start of dementia and is often found sitting in her own home in minus temperatures. I might add that B&Q told us the boiler had a 5 year guarantee but SIME said it only had a 2 year guarantee. B&Q say it is a SIME manufacturers fault the manufacturer says it is B&Q fault. I am now looking to get information on all the calls made to these companies to take them to Consumer right.
