Would advise people to steer clear of B&Q at all costs. Nobody knows what they are doing. Ordered new bathroom. Took delivery with parts missing. Installers never turned up. Trying to cancel is a nightmare and they try and make out that you are at fault. Not apologetic nor any attempts to make things right. They are an absolute joke. They promise call backs but never ring. I would say to people if you want hassle free DO NOT USE B&Q - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

RE: Orders 0077407566 and 0077351990. I've written about B&Q before and they still have not improved. This order was placed on Saturday 27th May and I chose to have it delivered on Thursday 1st June, my chosen day. I waited in all day and nothing turned up. I had called them a few times this day chasing up the status. I was assured it will turn up. Nothing had arrived. I called B&Q again at 6.45pm to notify them and said they will call me in the following morning with an update. I called the next day at 10am as I didn’t hear back from them and then was told they will chase up parcelforce. After which, they assured me that it will arrive by end of the day and that Olivia from parcelforce will call me within ten minutes. She didn’t call at all. I then called again about 3.30pm and you traced the status of the parcel and was told it will arrive on Monday now. I was not happy and quite irritated as I had taken annual leave off work for these days to do some clearing and needed these items, and these days had been wasted now. They didn’t know what to say to me on the phone as I was quite upset and they wanted to end the call, by saying “thanks for calling”, and “thanks for calling B&Q”. He did however give me the tracking number so I can track it myself. However, the shelving unit (5 Tier) arrived later that day, as well as the other modular units EXCEPT the 3 Cube Modular. The boxes were all a bit battered. I assembled the 5 tier shelf unit but some of the bars was bent, and one rubber feet was missing! As the box was battered, I assume it fell out during transit. As for the modular cubes, I assembled them. But the corners were chipped and scuffed. Not good for something I’ve paid for. Come Monday, I tracked the parcel myself, only to see that the 3 Cube modular has been sent back to B&Q!!! I phoned up yet again. They didn’t know why it was sent back but assumed parcelforce has damaged it. So a replacement had to be sent yet again for delivery next day. This was my last day of annual leave I took and it did arrive on Tuesday. I assembled it but again, the corners were chipped! Although, this was the one unit in best condition out of the three. This incident follows on from a previous order I placed, on Saturday 20th May, order number 0077351990. This was for two plastic window boxes, a flexible cable and a plastic storage box. I mainly wanted the storage box and bought the other bits to make it £50 so I could get free delivery, but paid and extra £5 for Sunday delivery. The order arrived the next day but without the storage box. So I called up and complained about this (when I can get through to their “ever busy phone lines”). I said I really needed the box. She said parcelforce still had it and they didn’t deliver. So I cancelled this as I needed it asap, so went to a local DIY store and bought one. Also, one of the plastic plant trough was cracked in the corner! I also asked for the £5 next day delivery refund as I paid for this extra yet the storage box didn’t arrive. There was some confusion as she didn’t even know that was an option! So They aren’t even fully aware or trained. She said she will check with a supervisor. After a few minutes on hold, she said she WON’T refund the £5 charge as other items had been delivered (although these bits, I could have bought in store and not my main purchase). So all in all, the service has been totally shocking from them. Waste of time, and waste of money, shoddy delivery and chipped products or missing parts. I was advised to call their customer services after the final delivery to make a complaint/claim. I've complained to them and they had 2 weeks to reply and they haven't bothered. Absolute farce.

Ordered a kitchen to be installed. Middle of the range cost about £12k excluding appliances. Kitchen was planned and fitted by B&Q appointed fitter. We had tiles on floor and walls done too. The plan looked good online but the kitchen was very poorly installed. An amatuer could have done a better job. The kitchen plan turned out not to be so good. The main kitchen door would not open fully once the new kitchen was installed, and the units didn't line up by the door either. Splashback was installed wonky on a flat wall, extractor was hanging off on one screw so wobbles and vibrated, lots of gaps by the sides of units, and not very level either. The tiling was ok, and none have cracked so far. We had to complain about all the problems, and refer to the furniture ombudsman. It was a pain and took time to sort out. Our kitchen still looks pretty badly installed. My advice is go elsewhere for your units, they are all the same. Find your own fitter who is competent and has a good reputation.

I am a tradepoint customer from Nottingham. Purchased 2 x 5ltrs Valspar Trade Matt white paint. This paint was on the shelves. Decorated my bedroom then after a few days a smell oily/wee like strong appeared. This was stronger when the sun shone through the window. It was the painted walls, complained, complained to no joy. logged through B+Q customer services, to this date not concluded. Purchased paint Feb 2017 now June 2017. I have spent £1000's of pounds over the last 2yrs at B+Q now I shop elsewhere. Gone back to Dulux and Johnstone paint.

delivered kitchen no breakfast bar 10 days later numerous phone calls and 4 different dates now saying 27th june we should have a delivery , bearing in mind can not finish kitchen as everything is measured off the said breakfast bar so now have to pay for builder to come back for a further 3 days work when he can fit us in as he has other kitchens ( not b and q ones ) to do. I would never recommend b and q to anyone wanting a kitchen done .

Not happy with boxes of tiles brought from b and q which are all different sizes and many of them are bowed my son sent them a nice email explaining this and was told we could return them two weeks later when they finally replied it's now six weeks later and two tilers later now costing me £170 more for a chap who can work with them and they said I couldn't return the ones the tiler had used even though that's how we found out they were rubbish not happy b and q

B & Q home fit - please please please do do not use these especially the branch covering yate in Bristol. I placed an order to go ahead and survey then fit wardrobes in my sons bedroom. That was 9 weeks ago, I was told delivery would be 8 weeks max as a bedroom only takes 1 day. Every time I call or my local b & q does they lye and palm me off. The never return calls when promised. They eventually admitted to having no fitters available to do the work but now they are backtracking - this is customer service at an all time low disgusting poor service - avoid like the plague.

Have just used your brand of Valspa paint, to do up my hall and landing. After long preparation time and new lining paper, I was thrilled with the new look. After a week of finishing, we noticed a terrible smell, like cats pee. Having used air freshener, on hands and knees to smell the carpet, there was no obvious answer to where it was coming from. This last Saturday, still worried I called the emergency gas leak company, thinking it could be gas ! No sign. Then yesterday my husband smelt the new paint on the walls Yes, that's it. It stinks. We were recommended it in the shop, but wish I had read the reviews beforehand. Very annoyed that we were not warned this could happen. One very expensive error and unhappy customer?

I was enqiring about there finance options and buy now pay later plans and was a little disappointed how little knowledge one of the workers had as he had to go off and speak to a manager i think maybe all staff should be fully informed and aware of the options they offer.. seen as they do work there after all

Our ceramic hob in our new kitchen cracked due to it being installed incorrectly. It took B&Q around a week before the builder installed a new ceramic hob -the same model. He left it a mess and didn't put any sealants around the new hob. This hob has now cracked too from overheating and so after calling B&Q they told me I had to ring up a different company myself to sort it out. So a new builder came in, told me the wiring was wrong, said he'd come back in a week with a new (but the same model) hob but never returned our calls and made a no-show. So we called B&Q again yesterday, they said they'd call me back but never did. About to try to call them up again. Worst customer service I've ever experienced, I've been completely ignored. I am a young student currently doing exams and I don't have the time to keep ringing B&Q every day. I will never go to B&Q for home installations ever again.

Tried to order kitchen worktops on the internet but the worktops I wanted were only available on click and collect but I needed them delivered. So I had to travel 30 miles and order them in store and then they delivered them ! The price was good but why cause you the trouble of travelling to the store?

I ordered a Barbaque to be delivered at home, after two weeks waiting for it, I called and then B&Q informed to me they didn´t have the product, a refund has been offered to me, the refund hasn´t arrived yet after other 3 weeks, and other annoying thing is to wait 30 minutes on the best case to be attended by phone. Last call I was waiting a complete hour an none take the phone. They have lost a customer online and in the shop as well.

The whole design of the kitchen was wrong. If it had not been for the fact that we had a good joiner then the kitchen would still be in boxes. The joiner had to cut some of the units to fit and some were too small and we had to order bigger ones. We had not enough plinth for one side of the kitchen, and it had to be joined, but too much trim for the cupboards, and that went back, along with £280 worth of excess materials. The plastic for the plinth was not the same width as the plinth! The extractor fan was very difficult to fit and was badly designed. The cover caps for the inside of the doors were in a discrete part of the packaging and very hard to find and therefore were thrown out!!! All in all the set backs put an extra days work on the installation of the kitchen for the joiner who did a brilliant job under the circumstances.

I ordered a carpet for home delivery. The assistant was unable to tell me when it would be delivered other than it 'would be delivered soon'. 4 days later I called the store to enquire about my order delivery - their response 'It will be there in a few days'! I have contacted Customer Services twice by email - they cannot be bothered to reply. I recommend that you do not buy any item for home delivery - I do not trust them! We will never shop there again.
