“A bunch of crooked thieves and scammers. Ground floor atm out of order. Advised to use another atm on first floor outside the building in the rain. And as expected with every atm, i deposited my cash and the atm eats £20. All these atm's are dodgy. Spoke to a member of staff and was advised they'll check it tonight and let me know tomorrow. Lets see what happens. In general i wouldn't be visiting this branch ever again. Also if i don't get my £20 back in my account, a complaint will be coming and if not resolved, taking every penny out.
Visited the branch and heard some made up stories without a single contact or evidence. Nothing at all. No email. No letter.

“Extremely disappointed in Barclays . We made a duplicate payment to another bank on their instruction as we believed it didn’t go through so we asked Barclays if it had they said no and do it again . Next day both payments came out !!! We asked them to recall it , they did but the other bank didn’t respond and now Barclays say not there problem bye ! Disgusting service we are now down £1000 and they don’t even care we are a small business and this has crippled us due to their incompetence!”
“Annoying phone system on Customer Service requires you to listen to insane amount of info before you finally get to speak to someone who doesn’t under English, only to be told they can’t do anything for a problem. The bank is also notorious for holding your money for way too long while they accrue interest even though your payment cleared your bank account days ago. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, although it’s unlikely to help due to this bank being out of control!”

“POS, POS, POS. DO NOT TRAVEL OUT OF THE STATES WITH THIS CARD OR OUT OF THE COUNTRY. 3 times we have been stranded because they WILL most definitely lock your card. Don't bother calling them either just remain at the gas pump until they unlock your card for 48 hours. No need to book a room because...how? And that is just the beginning of hurting a hungry family sitting stranded off the highway. Try it out. These 5 customer specialist that you talk to are not human and don't give a flying F.”
“Absolutely disgraceful been a customer of Barclays for 30 plus years went in today to open an account for my mum and was told I could only open one on line we had all documents needed so went to NAT west and they did everything for us mum was going to put £100.000 pound into that account might even change accounts my self”

“The Barclays app is rubbisish as well I'm not able to verifying ID in person at our local Barclay's branch. I went into the branch with a driving license and passport but she insisted these IDs could only be verified using the Barclays App. The problem is the app did not accept the photos taken in the App. We both tried for about an hour to take photos but they were not accepted saying 'glare' (the details could easilly be read). I also tried at home with curtainss closed etc. My father is dying and I have power of attorney but can't pay bills for him...... Phoned them up and got a call centre saying book an appointment at the branch..... going round in circles...... Absolute nightmare !!!!!!!!!!”

“I’ve been with Barclays since I was 16 year old never change my bank. I’m now 46-year-old and I’ve run lots of businesses with Barclays and I’m doing okay at the moment but because of Barclays Katie one of the investigators who does not understand people who have learning disabilities like dyslexia has totally decided to be 1,000,000% discriminating against me because of my disability, dyslexia as always help me except for when they asked me to provide lots of stuff in the past I was able to wondering and speak to a business manager but Katie Bassett does not accept face-to-face meetings does not accept me coming and showing all the stuff I have on my laptop. She wants me to pay my accountant to come and see her or wants me to provide everything by email which I’ve tried my best which is not the best way to deal with somebody who is dyslexic dealing with dyslexic people in writing is extremely hard and I’m sure this message has lots of errors but Barclays Bank cannot see past that and cannot see past somebody’s disability. It’s absolutely disgusting. They are closing my bank account because I’m dyslexic. They wouldn’t close my bank account if I had no legs , but yet because I have a disability a hidden disability Barclays Bank find it appropriate to do so after I’ve been with him for over 30 years”

“After being a Barclays customer for more than 50 years, I was dismayed to learn that my local branch was closing, At first, this was just an inconvenience as there was another branch with ATM less than 10 mies away. It then transpired the Barclays closed all there branches in the largest county in Wales, leaving the nearest branch 40 miles distant in Hereford, England. Barclays, advised a switch to computer/telephone banking, which in this area is frought with problems such as intermitent & slow broadband and no mobile phone signal. Today I received an offer of improved efficiency of my account ussing their app. However, when I phoned to complain, I was informed that I could onlt make a complaint via an App. No point in contacting the Ombudsman as it is imposible to complete the complaints system because you cannot start it. It would seem that the banks have coluded in a cartel to remove all customer control ober their accounts.”
“@AskBarbarsUS Why do they tell you your account is interest-free for six months multiple times, and then when questioned about the interest charged on the statement, they backtrack and say, "Oh, it's only for specific purchases"? As a result, I'm closing my account!”

“$16,000.00 was charged to my Jet Blue credit card issued by Barclay Bank while on a cruise. After receiving two statements showing the charges I contacted Barclays Bank and was told that it was too late to make a complaint. The bank failed to send an alert to me that my card was being excessively charged and now they refuse to credit my account and credit is being destroyed.”

I have reported this issue to them in branch, online and through official complaint route
Still they send this persons bank information to my address wilfully and knowing that the person does not reside in that address
100% do not recommend you use the bank unless you wish for your personal information to go to unauthorised users”
