Not had a good experience with Bathrooms and Showers Direct. Placed my order for a toilet and sink on 6th April. Had good communication from Becky to inform me that my order will be shipped directly from the supplier and they will be in touch. Was then advised of the delivery date, all good so far. Then the products were delivered. The pieces were packed terribly and as a result were in several pieces. How the delivery driver didn’t see this I don’t know. I then reported the delivery was damaged on 18th April and sent photos of the terrible packaging and my items in pieces. I had a response on 22nd April (next working day as was Easter weekend) with an apology and told that my order had been refunded and will be in my account in 2 working days. I was also told the courier would collect the goods on Thursday 24th April. This collection didn’t happen, I was then told on the phone it would definitely be collected on the Friday. Again this didn’t happen so am now left with a pallet full of broken bathroom products in my garden for over a week. The explanation I got was that the courier ‘forgot’ to collect. Goods were finally collected on Monday 28th. Worth noting it was a third party courier but it was me that had to keep chasing for answers. The part that I find terrible is that despite being told my refund had been processed on 22nd April I still have not received it. I asked why and was told it was processed yesterday (28th) so not sure why I was told this incorrect information which is clearly not true. At the time of writing I still have no refund and no explanation why. I will now have to take this up with my bank to try and get my nearly £300 back. Ashame as seemed like a decent company who have been let down by a third party supplier and delivery company, but not sure why they did it process refund when they said they had and still feel it necessary to hold on to my money. I would definitely not recommend

Hi Jill We sent you an email with returns information on 14th March. We have not yet received the towel rail back so have not been able to refund you. We have had no communication from you to confirm the return, give tracking onformation nor chasing the refund so I am a little surprised you felt the need to rate us based on no information. Made and paid for my order with B&SD online. They contacted me to say the bath was no longer manufactured (fair enough), they had forgotten to remove it from the website and that "anyway you only bought the feet", which we both knew to be a lie, as we both had a copy of the invoice. They offered me a replacement - 50% more expensive, but with a 10% discount. I countered with a split where we both equally felt the pain of their mistake, which was flatly refused, saying their T&Cs protected them.

Good Morning Damiam, Thank you for your review, sad that it is a negative one. Firstly, please accept my apologies that the pan has arrived damaged. I can see that the delivery was made on the 5th and we have arrived in the office this morning to both your email advising us of the damage and the review. One of the team will be in contact this morning as we will require some additional photos from you. All ceramic parcels that leave us should be lined with protection and if this is not the case, I need to take this up with the warehouse manager. A replacement pan will be with you tomorrow. We do pride ourselves on resolving problems as soon as we are advised of them and I hope that once you are happy with the replacement, you may consider updating your review about how our service was dealing with the damaged order. Still not received and still had no reply to my messages. I do however get asked to review the supplier even though they haven’t delivered my purchase. Good old technology 🤦🏻‍♂️

Good Morning Andrew, Thank you for your review, albeit a negative one. I have searched our emails and can find nothing from you. Can you please advise the email address you sent them to? It should be bathroomsandshowersdirect.co.uk The order was placed on October 17th and from what I can see should have left us the same day. We did in fact have an issue with out stock and had none available. I am sincerely sorry that you did not receive any communication about this. The first email we sent was on 21st October to advise of an estimated shipping date and the 30th to confirm despatch. Did you receive these? I have tracked the delivery with DPD and see that this was refused on 1st November as damaged, and is still in transit back to us. The sanitary wear I ordered took over 2 weeks to come from the supplier. When it arrived alarm bells rang as the packaging was wrong and the contents instead of a single piece sounded like an open bag of stones rattling around. The delivery driver said he couldn't return it if I opened the carton. Result - Still no sanitary wear. Verdict - Shoddy. I will avoid this vendor even with their competative price.

Good Morning Jeffrey, I am sorry to learn that your order with us was badly damaged by DPD. When you placed your order, we did advise that the despatch would be within 10 working dayswhich I believe we met. With sanitary ware we try where possible to leave the manufacturer's packing intact, but we do on occasion open the box to add additional protection. Sadly that failed on this occasion. Having read your email, thank you for the information about the Roca box, I will pass on your comments that this is not as sturdy as for previous purchases. As you can appreciate we send out a lot of china products and the level of damages in transit are very small, often what does get damaged is down to poor handling by the delivery driver as we do ensure everything we send it adequately packed. Despite checking the sizes - It did not fit my Armatage Shanks toilet. I bought the same model as the W/C bowl, Sandringham. Waste of money.

Good Morning Philip, I am sorry to see that you felt the need to leave us a one star service review because the seat didn't fit your pan. Armitage Shanks do many toilet seats and had you reached out to us before ordering, we would have been able to advise which toilet seat would fit. I have also been unable to find any contact from you after the seat was delivered. We can identify most toilet seats with photos of the toilet pan. Unlike many companies, if the seat has not been fitted and the hinge pack not opened, we will accept the seat back from you. If you are in a position to return the seat, please let us know. Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your review. I have managed to trace your enquiry through your email address and can see your email and a reply from Afia explaining that the shower holder is discontinued and we have none available. Regrettably we aren't able to recommend another retailer with a similar price to ours as the cached page you found had no price on it and did advise is is discontinued. Sadly we do not have access to competitor prices other than what is available on Google so are unable to offer any further information. I am sorry you were unhappy with our response. Good Morning Omar, I am very surprised by your review. We delivered your order on time however you chose to refuse it because it wasn't in a box. Many of our ceramic products are not supplied in packaging and as your delivery was made by our sister company, we knew it would be safe to send without an addtional box. We also do this to reduce unnecessay waste. Your order was refunded in full as per our telephone conversation, at which point I was unaware that you were unahppy. You did say that the driver was very nice, but he was unable to leave his vehicle to bring the pan up to your flat. Beware! Ordered basin and semi ped, site said in stock but they then have it sent from their stockist. So a few days later two enormous boxes arrived far larger than needed. Full of packing but the basin was actually touching the bottom of the box and absolutely totally smashed, semi ped ok. Asked for them to be collected and didn't want to reorder after the way the basin had been packaged. Then was told I'd have to pay for the return of the semi ped because it had been delivered in tact. I was furious and told customer services that this was appalling and I should be fully refunded. Their final offer was for me to take the smashed basin to the tip and they would reduce the charge to £10 to return the semi ped!! How very kind of them! With two enormous boxes blocking my hall I very reluctantly agreed and actually said I would write a review to express my dissatisfaction at the treatment from the company and the supercilious attitude of customer service agent. So today, no email to say a refund had taken place but when I checked my account the full amount had been refunded. I'm happy that happened but as an OAP I had to take a large box full of very sharp ceramic pieces to the tip. I've learned a lesson and would never order from this company again. I've just read the response from customer service : no email saying they would collect BOTH smashed basin and semi ped and courier (when I asked) said ONE box only for return. Just rubbish service causing a waste of effort and time for me. Also used DPD as courier so hardly surprised basin smashed although the packaging in over large box was inadequate.

Good Morning Yvonme, I am sorry you felt the need to leave this review. We advised your order would be despatched within 10 working days and you received it on the 5th day. We do not use the phrase "in stock" on our website, only that we despatch in 1, 3 or 10 working days. Regrettably the basin was broken and we tried to rememdy that as quickly as possible by offering a replacement which you declined. Our normal process would be to ask the customer to dispose of any damaged goods if they are able to do so and you then asked to return the unwanted pedestal. As there was no fault with this, there would be a collection charge if you were unable to return this independently. As I said in my email, this carries a charge of around £18 but I would not charge this, just deduct the delivery charge you paid. You and I then also agreed that the broken basin would be collected too as you would find it difficult to dispose of. The email I had from you came across that you were happy with this. As soon as the collection had been completed your refund was processed, I apologise that you did not get an email to confirm this. I have checked the DPD collection and we raised this for 2 parcels, yet you only gave the driver one. We were not aware of this until your review. All of our ceramic products are packed in the nearest possible box. and we use the appropriate amount of protective packaging. The basin you order would not have fitted in the next smaller box we have unless there was no protection. On occasion, the packing can move depending on how it is handled by the delivery company. From one of your emails, you did say DPD were a nightmare even before the order was delivered. You order has been refunded in full. and I am genuinely sorry that your experience with us was not perfect. Really misleading website. Delivery stated “next day’ but the print next to that sentence indicated something very different and delivery was actually more than a week. I wouldn’t choose them again.

Morning Tony, Please accept my apologies that you feel we have mislead you. We advise the lead time on each product page and confirmed this on your order confirmation, which in your case was 10 working days. Once the goods arrive with us, we despatch them on a next day delivery. We do advise of our delivery terms on the site and it does confirm that next day is only available on products that state despatch within 1 or 2 days. I am sorry that you missed this. I can see your order was delivered on the 5th working day, well within the 10 days advised. Advertised as soft close, its not. Screw length too small so cannot be fitted. Email to company to ask for assistance has been ignored. Wrong product and poor service from the company.

Good morning Paul, I am sorry to hear you are having problems fitting your toilet seat. I have been unable to find any email correspondence from you, so would appreciate you getting in touch. The seat you ordered is a soft close version, however the hinges are a newer version and will not fit if you are attempting to fit the seat to current fixings. Delivered a day late and to the wrong address. Lucky for me a neighbour saw the delivery van and I went and collected my parcel which the owner of the house said had been 'DUMPTED' on his doorstep without his knowledge

As advised, I had reached out to DHL to find out where the parcel was but you had already located it by the time they responded. I have fed back to them that it is clear they were at the worng address shown on their GPS tracking info. There is no excuse for DHL not finding the correct address, your information was clear on your order and I am sorry that it wasn't delivered where it should have been. We are in the process of moving away from DHL as a delivery company. I hope you have, by now, received the refund for the delivery charge. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience caused. Bought Ideal Standards Cistern CONCEALA 2, which arrived in poor and damaged packaging. Cistern was meant to be concealed and upon installation was discovered that is not performing well (overfill with every flush). Customer service was not helpful and Ideal Standards are not honouring 5-year warranty. Do not buy this product or from this supplier. Further update: Ideal Standard sent a replacement part which in the end was not for my cistern + they expected me to pay for the plumber to install it. Overall Ideal Standards products are no longer of good quality and for the price paid, there is a lot of choice of other brands and products to choose from. They also have not responded to my complaints despite being sent to them multiple times. Bathroom and Showers were not overall helpful and again there are so many other suppliers to choose from that there is no need for anyone to go through the hurdles I have experienced.

We did quote 10 working days on your order however we were made aware that Grohe had no stock available and we emailed you as soon as we found out. There are issues trying to get the raw materials to make some of their products hence the extended lead time. We have now flagged this on our website so as not to disappoint future customers. We had dispatched your parcel from our warehouse on 6th February and it would have been with you the next day, but there was a request to for it be delivered to a local parcel shop but it was refused due to the size. I can see that the email address and telephone number were changed with DHL. Afia has requested that this is re-sent to the original address at our cost, so I hope you receive it today as advised. Recieved completely different item to the sales images. Bought a Toilet Seat £70 including delivery. The Seat that was delivered was compatible with my toilet; though a totally different model with plastic hinges instead of metal. general lower quality than presented on the sales page. the Respondent to my query had me first take pictures. I agreed and took very careful pictures which they would later dispute that I'd captured the hinges clearly. which was ridiculous. after the pictures were sent. I had a response saying "We have sent you the right seat." after further communication. they made out the sales images were sub-value of importance as long as the code was correct. which it was apparently. so they weren't interested in acknowledging any fault. they suggested I arrange and pay for recorded service by courier and its return. they were absolutely horrible to deal with. ignoring any valid question. and responding with irrelevant useless information. would not recommend if there is some kind of seller explanation to this negative review. they may say that I was rude. and I would like to paste the exact message they are refurring to so you can read it for yourself: "You cant see the hinges from these photos? https://imgur.io/a/viuj2yc every single response from you; you've sounded annoying and arrogant. you display an item. then send a different one. thats confusing for you? then you really don't belong in sales!" they next sent an email saying they were no longer willing to communicate

Dear Mr Kitt, As per my emails to you, you wrote derogatory and insulting comments. I note that your "copy & paste" is not the same as what we received. You sent a picture of the seat dampers, not the hinges, so we were unable to ascertain whether it was a different seat to what was picture. We did also offer to collect the seat and refund you in full if it was not as sold. If it was exactly as described, we would have either deducted the collection charge from the refund or contacted you to discuss your options. You did not reply. As soon as we found out we let you know. I see that we refunded you as requested and I am so sorry we have let you down on this occasion. Good Afternoon Jenna I am sorry that the delivery company did not manage to make the delivery at the scheduled time. They were given the gate code whilst the driver was there and I have no explanation from Palletways as to why they did not complete it. I have passed your feedback on to them as it is most unacceptable that they failed on this occasion. I can see that your order has now been delivered.
