Excellent choice of beers, what really let my experience down was the time taken to deliver - which was just over 2 weeks. Whilst I appreciate it was Christmas time and I did get my beers on 23rd, it took several phone calls which I instigated to sort a fairly simple stock issue with a couple of items. That said the beers have been very well enjoyed and will be ordering again!

Beers were ordered 13th Dec, very easy to order just didn't have any notification of when package was dispatched or delivered. Also ordered as a gift, put a gift note on at the time of ordering but this didn't get sent out with the package. As we were sending the box of beers to a group of people this was a shame as they had no idea who they were for and who they were from. However the person who did consume the beer said they were very good.

The website was easy to use and my order was delivered before Christmas, but one of the beers I ordered was missing and although I have been in touch with the company about this, I have not yet received a response. They also did not provide notice that they would be delivering, despite the email confirmation stating that I would be sent a dispatch email the day before.

Had very prompt and polite correspondence with Stu, so regarding customer service was excellent. However the beers arrived a week later than promised (so missed Christmas which was the main reason for ordering!) and the chalices I ordered were in the end out of stock. Ordered previously from beer merchant.com and was a lot faster delivery.

Ordered a 3 month subscription for my Dad for Christmas following the good service received in relation to my husbands beer advent calendar. However, the surprise got completely ruined when the first delivery turned up a week before Christmas despite my having asked for it to be in the new year. Had to then explain to Dad ahead of the big day what was going on and meant he was left on Christmas day with one less present than everyone else cos it came early.

The beer was appreciated but the person did not receive the gift message and even had to contact your company to find out who it was from which was disappointing.

Whilst the Beer is great the service is not. I placed an order containing 2 gifts allowing 4 weeks until they were needed. 3 weeks later no update so I call and am advised part of my order is now out of stock and an alternative will be sent. My delivery arrives the next day however the alternative wasn't even included!!! I then call and am told they arent sure why it wasnt sent and they will escalte to head office. I then hear nothing... and still havent. The alternative did arrived bit was useless by then and not comparible at all. Shocking communication.

Good choice of beers and delivery time good, however for the 2 beers I ordered they came in a box made for 16 beers! Waste of packaging.

I ordered the exciting sounding Christmas Beer Box on about 15th December, there were 12 different beers promised with a wide range of flavours and styles. When it arrived I received 6 beers in duplicate. I went on the website to find that the previous one I had ordered had been discontinued and this paltry replacement was now on offer. This still was NOT the beer box I ordered. Of the 12 beers I was expecting, due to this bait and switch, I received only 4 similar to the original box, and none were the beer types that originally interested me in purchasing the box. I like trying many different beers, most of the beer I drink is at beer festivals because I like to try many different ones, so I was most disappointed when I expected 12 different beers to try to find only 6 unique beers in duplicate. This is despite the fact that Beer Hawk were still selling some of the beers from the original box as single bottles. I was aware that substitutions may occur, as I read through the product description and T&Cs thoroughly, and this was pointed out to me when I contacted their customer service about sending me the wrong item. This isn't an issue of substitutions, you expect maybe one or two different, this is clearly them sending me a product I did not order. They acknowledged that they should have contacted me about this before sending out the beers, as I would have almost certainly cancelled my order had I known I would not be receiving the beers I wanted. Their only solution was a refund, but I had to send all the beers back. This would leave me without beer for Christmas and also incur great cost in sending so much liquid back. So I decided to give the beers a go. The beers are of the high quality that Beer Hawk advertises it offers, they were all very enjoyable to drink. I would consider Beer Hawk for single bottles next time, but I will never ever buy a mixed case from them again.

I bought the selection box as a Christmas present and it looked great. All was good however the beerhawk glass that came with it was very dirty and had dry glue on various parts. This was very disappointing as it was a present I was looking forward to giving.

Whilst the product I received was a great present for my brother, you may want to rethink your delivery company. Two texts over two consecutive days promising my delivery to then receive a short message to say 'unable to find address' - no instructions what to do to get my order, just before Christmas. I must add that my delivery address was my place of work, one of the most prominent office complexes in the area and less than 2 miles from the nearest depot. Countless phone calls before I could get through to an actual person, who was rude and couldn't have cared less about my issues. Emailed a complaint which just got closed off immediately as 'completed'. So I eventually had to opt to collect my item myself. £5 delivery charge to collect my package myself is outrageous. So unfortunately I wouldn't use beer hawk again or recommend to friends purely for the horrendous delivery company.

Although the gift arrived on time for Christmas, I was disappointed to find the glass had been smashed in transit. It was too late for me to return the broken item so I had to find an alternative gift for the receipiant.

Delivery wasn't very good! I didn't arrive on the date expected and when I called and asked I found out the package had been apparently damaged in transit. I had to re-order it and I was told it would arrive by a certain date, but again it was late.

Website is fine, all delivered and intact as promised, only fairly big problem was the product was not as described. Only one of the beers sent was on the list of beers I thought I was supposed to be getting. That's not to say I am not enjoying the ones that were sent, well, all except the smoked beer, that's not for me. Also packaging of the 12 beers came in a box with 3 spare spaces, which doesn't bother me personally, but I was gifting one on, and I felt the need to fill the spaces with extra beers, so I didn't look like I had swiped three for myself. Would probably use them again.

After a number of phonecalls and emails I finally got my delivery completed. Firstly only half my order was delivered. I spent days chasing the remainder , never ever managing to speak to anyone in customer service but speaking Accounts people after being redirected. They could only get "someone to call you tomorrow". No one called then out of the blue the remaining case appeared. No contact to say it was to be expected! Apart from the ladies I spoke to in accounts , who were most polite and helpful, I have had no contact with Beer Hawk. The content of cases was in the main most satisfactory , with bottles from exotic locations balanced out by some ordinary continental lagers. Certainly lived up to the "world" beers claim. Difficult to give a more positive view , except to say that they may have been overcome by the Christmas rush.

Ordered as a Xmas present on 16th December . Still awaiting for delivery . When called customers service team , adviced to chase courier . It's a joke

This is a review with two extremes of satisfaction, hence my neutral overall rating. I have been ordering from Beerhawk for several years now and have found their products (beer and a keg machine) to be of excellent quality but what on earth has happened to the customer service? At the time of writing the company has recently moved offices, so perhaps this is the reason, but there were several issues with my last two orders, including missing items, a failure by customer services either to send out or respond to emails and appalling courier service. None of the promised emails were sent to advise that goods had been dispatched and on one occasion goods were left with an elderly, disabled neighbour and on another left behind a dustbin, with no note through my door to say what had happened. (Both items were discovered by pure chance as I had not asked for either of these options if I was out. In fact on the second occasion I was actually in, but the courier just left the box of beers in my garden without even bothering to knock, ring or leave a note - please, please stop using UK Mail!!) The products are good, so I would like to recommend Beerhawk to friends but with service between ordering and safe delivery so very poor at the moment I would certainly hesitate in doing so.

Helen, Thanks for the review and appreciate the honesty. We have not been perfect and hold our hands up to this... We have sat down and looked at what went wrong and processes are in place to ensure that we do not make the same mistake again. I can assure you that if you or your friends come to us that the same issues will not occur again.

One box arrived other one didn't, delivery company claimed they tried to deliver but as one was delivered why didn't they come together. would have collected box myself but delivery companies depot is in another county. After contacting Beer Hawk they sent out another box but this did not complete my order and some choices are still missing.
