I am appalled by the deceitful and unethical practices of this company. I purchased a single product using a discount coupon, only to find out later that I had been signed up for a subscription without my consent! This is not only fraudulent but an obvious attempt to trick unsuspecting customers. To make matters worse, canceling the subscription is deliberately made difficult, requiring you to call their customer service—where you can’t even retain proof of your cancellation request. Their entire process is designed to exploit customers: Unauthorized subscriptions. A convoluted cancellation system that wastes your time. Complete disregard for transparency and consumer rights. I was charged for additional products I never agreed to purchase, and now I am fighting to get my money back. I have saved all communications and will be filing a formal complaint with consumer protection authorities. If you’re considering buying from this company, don’t! They rely on trickery to lock you into subscriptions and make it nearly impossible to cancel. Avoid this scam at all costs. I strongly urge anyone who has had similar experiences to report this behavior and demand better business practices.

I am extremely disappointed with Beer52’s practices. I recently discovered, much to my surprise, that I was unknowingly opted into a subscription service. Today, when money was taken from my account, I immediately tried to cancel—within 10 minutes of the charge—but was told it was “too late” and that I should have canceled three days ago. How could I have canceled something I didn’t even know I was subscribed to? This feels deceptive and unfair. I was never clearly informed about being enrolled in a subscription, and the refusal to refund or resolve the issue in good faith has left a sour taste in what should have been a positive experience. I urge Beer52 to reconsider these shady subscription practices and prioritize transparency and customer service. I will not be using their service again, and I encourage others to think twice before signing up.

absolute disgrace. Spent the last 3 weeks trying to cancel my subscription. They basically have no customer support, ive emailed them many times and messaged them on facebook dozens of times, no response. They make it as difficult as humanly possible to cancel - please please avoid this pathetic excuse of a company like the plague.

My son was foolish enough to sign up for a free box of beers, although he was well aware that he would also have to buy some, they made it extremely difficult to unsubscribe ( you have to phone the company between 9-5 Monday to Friday), they also kept sending beer that seemed to escalate in price, my son has learnt the hard way that if something looks to good to be true it usually is

Disgusting scammers. Targeting you and then won’t cancel and still take your money and deliver when you beg them not to.

This site is best avoided! They offer overpriced wines that do not match the quality they claim. Canceling your subscription is a nightmare—you can't do it directly on their website, and you’re forced to contact them to stop them from taking money from your account. Once they have your card details, they cling to them like leeches. There's no advance notice to allow you to postpone or cancel orders, and the service overall is poorly managed. This is one of the most frustrating subscription sites I've encountered, and it reflects the low quality of both their products and service

The beer isnt that nice maybe one can I a case. Cancelling is impossible I called them when I got through they asked why I wanted to cancel I said I don't like the beer. They said we will send you a free case, do I want something free they I don't like, I mean free is free and I paid them so much for rubbish free is ok... But this was them saying free case and you stay a customer but I didn't agree this. I said cancel they said free case I said send it. They said cancel if you want by emailing for a faster response so no hours later no one's cancelled it. So that was a lie.

Ditto previous reviews. Predatory marketing tactics sums this company up. Complete scam and disingenuous. Offer at outset - free case of beer if pay postage, and I paid for this at reduced price as gift for husband thinking if he liked he /we may purchase more. Thought no more of it. Didn’t receive any emails or contact from Beer52. Suddenly Over month later I am notified by yodel that I have a delivery on the way and I have had £27 taken from my bank account, Had no apparent visible mention of this anywhere in signup process or even an email before the next box is sent out. The company say I had an email, which I didn’t, and say it was in the offer small print. It is Impossible to get sense out of this company. The customer service team and rude a condescending, and the more senior members don’t care and trot off the same spiel about how the terms are in the initial email (which I and others never received). I wonder how many people they are scamming a day? I will be taking this further as this is unfair practice. The company states it was sorry if I missed their emails. THERE WERE NO EMAILS. Perhaps part of the plan to cream money from people? Worst immoral way to behave and dreadful customer service. You also can’t easily unsubscribe once you do spot they’ve signed you up!! Avoid!

They sold me a 2 box deal with "no commitment" and failed to disclose that it turned into a subscription that I had to cancel. They've seen the proof that they messed up but refuse to refund the money taken. They have continued to repeat lies regarding my case so I would warn anyone off trusting them - they double down even when presented with evidence. A company that refuses to acknowledge and rectify its mistakes deserves to be publicly shamed.

Terrible you will get signed up for a subscription I had no email or text to tell me I was going to receive a box just the money taken from the bank, rang the same day before it was shipped and they wouldn’t cancel or refund. Don’t use unless you want over priced not great beer

Very misleading - misleadingly get you on a subscription, then make it almost impossible to cancel.

AVOID AT ALL COST Exactly the same as others Trustpilot, I went for their promotion, and it automatically put me on their subscription without any way of knowing. I’ll admit I was in hospital at the time, on a lot of medication, saw the offer thought I’d try it to treat myself when I get out, I don’t often get myself anything. Then a few weeks later an email comes saying order dispatched and they’ve taken £60 out of my account!! It’s left me with no money for food for the month, I desperately tried contacting them for a refund and to turn the item around, like others here I had no idea I was subscribed to anything. I told them I’ll have no money for food for the month I’d never have signed up to this!! All they did 48 hours later was emailing me giving me screenshots of pages I’d never seen when on their site, and hid behind their T&C’s like weasels. This company is a con, and their business approach came from a plan they must have found at the bottom of a toilet. This company is best avoided. I’ll be taking this further it’s not right what they’re doing.

Very hard to cancel, have to call and wait for at least 45m. Not worth any free beer tbh. Should be an option to cancel online as with most subscriptions services.

They use a subscription trap - you sign up online (in my case a facebook advert) for a low cost trial case. What you don't see is the small print saying you've signed up for a monthly delivery at £3.30 per small can. You get no notification until after the next unwanted case is despatched. They refuse to take the unwanted case back. Cancelling involves being on hold for 40 minutes and an argument about corrupt subscription trap cons. And finally, the beer is horrible, I only drank a couple from my first box, and the 2nd is unopened. I'll be taking them to the small claims court for their unfair contract terms.

They make it as hard as possible to cancel over the phone with pushy sales tactics and once the next monthly £27 is taken they will simply refuse to refund it whatsoever, also the beers are very overpriced for what you get, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

They supposedly offer the option of 'gifts' You can choose one and pay for it in full upon purchase. The unsuspecting receiver of said 'gift' then still has to sign up for a 'subscription' having to hand over their card details as well as remembering to cancel the subscription or run the risk of their card being charged. This is not how a gift to someone should work - a gift should not become burdensome for the receiver. You guys have taken the fun out of gift giving and receiving!

They make it impossible to cancel - intentionally leave you on hold with the same track of music looping to try and drive you made and get you to give up - any good subscription service lets you cancel without calling - avoid these scam artists at all costs.
