I used the Beer52 service for a couple of months and then cancelled my subscription. Three months later I see they've charged me again out of the blue. I complained and got a response to say, "we listened to your cancellation call and he told you he had a credit on your account that would expire"...why on earth does this mean they charge me again!? "We'll allow you to post it back but won't cover the return postage costs"...what on earth? So you can charge me without authorisation months after I cancel the service, then tell me you won't even refund this new charge or organise the return. A disgraceful joke. Won't go near this company ever again.

Honest what a shambles of a service! I decided to give their subscription box a go. I am vegan so chose light beers only. I received dark beers containing milk (not a great start but mistakes happen). Their response was simply "we'll give you £5 off your next box". So not only have I paid for beers I can't drink, but they refused to ship me out any replacements!? They then proceeded to ignore my emails and eventually replied to say they had cancelled my subscription. Do not waste your money on this company!!! Yes the beers are fun, but they will not sort out any issues for you. They are only interested in how they can continue to make money.

Tried to cancel. Ater taking me through 4 pages onn their website it said I have to ring to cancel. Put on hold for 10 minutes then patched through to another customer trying to cancel. Absolute scummy company trying to stop you cancelling so they can blag your money.

Shame I can't give 0 stars. Incredibly rude and unhelpful staff. Really long delivery time and for the name "Beer52" you get a lot more ales than beers. Tried to cancel my subscription and they were so rude, talking over me and not caring about my situation. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

What a joke that you have to phone to cancel only to wait 1 hour plus in the queue. Honestly no words if I could give 0 stars I would.

Really poor customer service. I received a box with 2 smashed bottles.This was blamed on the courier and no apology or refund. I'currently trying to cancel subscription which is impossible as they will not answer the phone. Very unprofessional-Avoid!!

This product is not suitable for purchase as a gift. I ordered a 6 month subscription for my father in the UK. It seemed to be going relatively well, despite being able to give them limited/no preferences information, so he couldn't specify that he doesn't drink stouts, which went to friends. At the end of six months, I discovered on the website that I needed to call to cancel (from Australia, and was on hold for 15 minutes). I was then told that they needed to speak to him to cancel it, despite the fact that I set up the account and it's my payment information. The customer service rep on the phone was uninterested in helping us and just said we should email, saying this happens a lot. He didn't even apologise that this was a pain for us.

Awful customer service over the phone! I got hung up on because I wanted to cancel my subscription so I had to phone back and start the process again, and again, the man on the phone was very rude!

I can't recommend a company that makes it horrendously difficult to cancel. The practice of making it easy to sign up, hard to cancel should be illegal and I'm frankly disappointed a company which can appear 'cool' and does genuinely deliver great beer has such shady practices.

absolute rubbish customer service, told them i wanted to cancel, still sent beer out !! then told me if i refuse delivery i will be charged, even though days ago i had emailed them cancelling..... Don`t get caught out, shop elsewhere

Avoid the process to cancel is a two hour wait on the phone - I have tried to cancel / change payment card anything

Totally shocking. Ordered beer over a week ago and still not arrived! The Courier they used for delivery seems to have lost my order. However no one at Beer 52 seems to want to request a replacement pack of beer even though they concede it has been lost. Customer Service staff do seem friendly but they are not coordinated and noone takes responsibility for my situation or wants to go the extra mile for the Customer which is genuinely disappointing.

Ordered 2 cases, 2nd case still hasn't arrived. Emailed and called and getting no where, no one gets back to you with an actual answer of when I'll be receiving the case. Poorest customer service ever!

Had a delivery sent by my daughters for Fathers day arrived by Hermes.Whether they had the case upside down whilst delivery or just bad beer.No beer notes but they must be conditioned ales as 4 bottles are cloudy tried to drink them but are disgusting.The lust for life I have put down sink.The Humble Sjark from Norway has sediment in neck of bottle.Will not place another order.

Absolute shocking customer service, they sent the incorrect order to me and now are refusing to collect the goods and refund me. They have offered a maximum of £10 for an order of over £30. The company are saying they are too small to collect the order and refund and and suggested I send back to claim a refund. The beers sent are also from unknown breweries so the box was not value for money either

If I could give zero stars I would. My sister’s order never arrived, the tried to first blame it on the courier and eventually admitted it was their fault and eventually provided a refund. The beer was meant to be his birthday present. Additionally they make you cancel your subscription by phone but it’s impossible to get through on the phone! I wasringing beer52 numerous times since 8 June to cancel my subscription but I could not get through to them. You cannot cancel online as it says you must phone them! I emailed them and Facebook messaged them and tweeted them but still no response! They clearly want to make it as difficult as possible for you to cancel, otherwise they would have had an option to cancel online. Unfortunately I will have to tell everyone I know to avoid this company.

Flagged a delivery that hadn’t materialised and had clearly gone astray, that was needed for a specific date (father’s day) – which was the whole point of the deal that had been advertised. Despite being assured in two separate phone calls that someone would look into it and get back to me, nobody did, and the delivery missed the date it was required for. When they did get back, said that as I had emailed more than once I’d been placed at the back of the queue each time (great avoidance policy!), failing to acknowledge the phone calls. Also blamed the courier company, missing the point that it was the unreturned calls and lack of action when there was still time to resolve things, that were the real issue. Overall, strike me as very amateurish in their approach to customer service.
