“Excellent service and delivery, but don't put prices just because you can. Too much of that around just now.”

Thank you for your review. Regrettably our transport costs in particular have increased by anywhere from 10 to 150% this year, depending on the contractor. We had no choice but to pass some of that - not all - to our customers. We always aim to offer the most competitive price possible.

“Fuel is good, ordering easy and prompt. However need to make sure delivery sends email for timing in order for client to be present. Mine was left directly in front of storage so unable to transfer and needed to get help to move pallet.”

“These are just excellent, they provide a good heat source and leave very little ash. They also work well to use with regular logs”

“Logs give off a good heat. Delivery- plan was to remove need to carry and stack logs , as could be delivered directly into garage, however were delivered by an articulated lorry , which could not turn off single track road as it was too big.( Although driver was very helpful and advised too request a truck under 7 ton if re ordering) , this meant fork lift could not access garage, defeating the purpose of the plan. Nothing on website advising on this issue. Delivery was early had been advised would not be for a further week. - which was fine but not notified , if no one had been home logs could have been left out in rain.”

“1. The delivery service was very prompt and the driver was most helpful. 2. The plastic packaging is very good though not recyclable 3. The briquettes annoyingly crumble very easily. 4. The briquettes burn very very quickly as they are made from softwood as opposed to hardwood ones which we have had from other suppliers, in itself this not a problem but it does result in using at the very least twice as many when compared to hardwood.”

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that the briquettes burn quickly for you. The fact is that these are made from hardwood: birch, not softwood. Hardwood is defined as any decidious tree (tree with leaves) while softwood is timber from conifers (trees with needles). The product you purchased is made from silver birch, which is a hardwood. For slower burn, we can recommend turning down the air inflow on your stove or trying other products: Birch RUF or Oak RUF. Many thanks

Thank you for your review. The new delivery charge applies to postcodes IV51 and above, not the Inverness city or any other IV postcodes. This is regrettably unavoidable due to massive cost increases at the Grangemouth port but will be reviewed in the future.

“Unlike Pallett Line their delivery people know their business and can drive, instead of boasting and bragging about what they know nothing of. Their fuel is clean, easy to light and superb.”

“Product ok but delivery awful, no advanced phone call, the driver couldn’t get up the drive even though I have had 70 previous drivers who could! He dumped 2 ton bags on the road and left a 70 year old man (me) to transport 196 15kg up a 45m drive in the dark and it was raining. He didn’t even apologise, just drove off. Awful”

We apologise for the unacceptable delivery. If you are willing to give us another opportunity to supply you, we can use a different haulier. We can also keep a close eye on the delivery ETA and make sure you have the information to meet the driver; we have operators on hand throughout the day to assist customers. Any customer with a difficult delivery location is encouraged to contact us in advance so we can make arrangements with their local depot.
