Items ordered urgently arrived late and then delivery team refused to leave items with parents in law because they didn’t get access to the house. They were rude and refused to talk to the owner of the items. Please stay away

This is not a 1 star review - it is a 0 star review. I cannot believe that Debenhams would work with this company. I have waited in all day for a mattress delivery, after being given a 3 hour timeslot from BJS. They have text me last night, emailed me this morning, confirmed via answer phone, WhatsApp and their tracking system that my order is ‘on route’. 2 hours passed and no delivery has arrived. I’ve WhatsApped BJS who ended the chat both times due to a lack of response from me (when I responded within the same minute as their message). I tried 4 times to get through on the phone. This is where it gets good!! I spoke to an absolute clown who told me that Debenhams confirmed the delivery date - not them and that it’s nothing to do with them, Debenhams haven’t shipped the mattress to them yet. He then laughed and said “what did you want us to do? Turn up and knock on your door when we have nothing to deliver?” I asked to speak to a manager to explain the situation to me properly. He repeated the exact same, told me that they had no stock and that Debenhams sent me that confirmation email. I explained that I had a text, email and WhatsApp’s from BJS confirming the date - not Debenhams. He said that Debenhams sent those emails. I told him that was concerning as they are from the BJS network and they must have been hacked.. he said they have 0 involvement with this delivery and they are not accepting any blame. I have never spoken to such rude and aggressive customer service agents in my life. I am now dealing with Debenhams to cancel my order in it’s entirety - I refuse to give this company a penny!

ext message 20 minutes before delivery deadline is not acceptable attitude to your customers. Don't commit to deliver goods if you can't fulfill! Even if the "family emergency" was genuine reason for delivery failure, you should offer rescheduled delivery next day but not next week! Order: MM1906357 !!!UPDATE!!! BJS called me and asked to adjust my original review after 2nd. delivery attempt, so here it is. Another failed delivery! Today 03/12 delivery van actually arrived and for 10 minutes they tried to find my mattress but wasn't able to as it was simply not loaded in! I'm done with this company and unfortunately have to cancel my order as there is 0% chance it will ever be delivered. If anybody from delivery company reading this, please suggest to your boss to rename your company to "BJS SCAM Delivery"

You may want to teach your drivers to drive safely. How one of your vans didn't cause me to crash my car by whizzing around a roundabout and cutting me up is more by luck than anything. Horrendous driving and total lack of consideration to other road users. Should be ashamed of yourselves.

Same experience as everyone else, unprofessional, rude, damage to my property and the item, delivery driver squared up to me for a fight I think.. I tried to de-escalate the situation by telling him to calm down, this didnt help.. Avoid at all costs

Cancelled mattress delivery 15 minutes into my scheduled time slot. Old mattress already gone to the tip leaving us with no bed.

Incompetent company, don't bother waiting for your delivery if it's with these people. I was waiting for a delivery today, got a timeslot for delivery between 3PM-6PM. They sent a text at 6:15PM saying they won't be able to make it as the driver has a "family emergency". Reading some of the reviews it seems like they do this very often and it's not an actual "emergency". They're just incompetent. Avoid like the plague!!

Driving to work I came across a BJS delivery van parked blocking traffic. There was plenty of room for them to pull forward and not block the road. They then proceeded to throw several packages out of the van and into the garden of the house they were delivering to. By the time they had finished there were several cars waiting in both directions and poor customer I hope their items were ok.

Didn't even bother to deliver amazon item when asked for a refund they sent amazon a fake deliver note with a random scribble as a signature with the wrong name attached do not use these scam artists

October 2024 Worst delivery service, extremely rude and incompetent drivers. Arrived early before we had old appliance ready for removal, refused to wait 20mins (which was the actual time they were due to arrive) to allow us to disconnect and took the new appliance back! One in particular was really rude while the other did apologise. The 'supervisor' on the telephone was just as rude as the driver. Needless to say I have cancelled the order and will not use Appliances direct due to them using BJS as the delivery company. Appliances direct to be fair were great pre sale and handling my refund. Pity the delivery was below par.

Absolutely shocking company, rude and arrogant delivery drivers. Cancelled delivery of item on doorstep and took away. Was told they didn't have time to wait whilst I resolved issue with the company where goods were purchased dedpite being an hour early. Did not deliver goods in allocated paid for time slot and had the audacity to say I should be grateful they came over an hour early. Absolutely not when I have had a call and had to leave work early and get through traffic to get home. Lied when they phoned and said delivery had to be early as they have had several cancelled deliveries today. The van was Absolutely rammed full so obviously no cancelled deliveries as they have just come straight from the warehouse. Refused to speak English to each other and on the phone which is ignorance in itself. This company have delivered several times over the years and the standard of rudeness and delivery was as bad then. They once left the furniture half way in the house so I couldn't shut the door. I had had back surgery so had to wait until my husband came home to move goods and shut the door. The company didn't care then and certainly don't care now!

An absolute disgrace. Delivery expected between 7-10am today, no attempt to contact me, no attempt being made to deliver. Apparently the delivery failed due to a "system error from their end". The person I spoke to said he was going to "escalate this concern to his driver compliance department" - Absolute twaddle. What does that even mean? From the conversation I had, it sounds like they have no idea where the item is, and they offered no alternative date when they could deliver it. To be frank, I am not sure I want them to given this shambles today. I only found out when I looked to see if there was a progress update on the order, they made no attempt to contact me at all, despite them knowing this was not going to be deliverable well in advance of me finding out. I found a delivery attempted status on the tracking page. Delivery not in the slightest attempted. Took a day off work at short notice to take delivery. Had they bothered to tell me I could have gone in and booked a different day when they decided to actually try to deliver it. You should be able to give no stars.

I had deliveries with them today. I received 3 days ago when I placed the order that they notify me 3 hours before they arrive and they notify me 30 minutes. in the situation where I also paid the special fee to receive the package today.

Extremely rude and ridiculous delivery service experienced by your drivers with regards to a Argos replacement TV. My signature was even forged to show acceptance of delivery, because I refused to sign initially because I was missing some parts they had initially wanted take back with the delivery TV box. I must only commend one of the driver that tried a bit to understand why I was totally frustrated with what they had done.Argos should not use such delivery partners that have individuals that are rude and not professional..The standard process is to ensure that all the parts they are collecting is correct and to also ensure that the customer confirms all parts delivered is complete.. This was not the service received unfortunately..

The delivery team were rude, they did not handle the furniture boxes with care resulting in damage to some of the goods, which we did not find out until later as they declined to unpack and remove the packaging at time of delivery despite this being the advertised delivery service by the Cotswold co and promised within the pre delivery emails received from BJS Home delivery. When I was asked to sign for proof of delivery form I noticed that the delivery team had documented that we, the customers, had refused the unpacking and removal of waste service - I asked them to correct this (as we certainly did not refuse and wanted them to do this) and then signed the form on which I also made a note that it was the delivery team that had refused to unpack and remove the packaging, later I got sent a copy of the proof of delivery form which had had my signature removed and a signature forged in place of mine, they’d also amended the form again documenting that we’d refused the unpacking service. Extremely unhappy with the service which was not delivered to the advertised standard or specification as per the contract and shocked that they forged a signature and falsified documentation.

These delivery guys don't give a Toss about your items whatsoever seriously they just want to dump your items and go and the way in which the box was damaged says it all

Shocking , tell you to pick a day Monday to Friday , I chose Wednesday and they delivery Tuesday so I tell them again Wednesday they arrange for Thursday then shut down the chat Total joke of a courier

I was told my delivery would be picked up by DoorDash which it was and it showed it was on route to my house to be delivered and never made it. Called Member Services 4 times to which I got the complete run around and one gentleman had the nerve to answer the phone and act like I was bothering him to tell me he is too busy. My first time ordering online and my last. Then finally I get a manager and she tells me I have to wait 3-7 business days to get refunded. They’re horrible, oh and no one knows what happened to the order that was picked up because the person who picked it up didn’t report he cancelled the delivery. Kim was the only one willing to figure everything out for me.

delivery team arrived 2 hours late and were unreachable by phone until 15 minutes before they arrived, when they contacted to explain they were late. when they arrived one of the men was extremely stressed out and angry and he directed a lot of his anger and stress at me, by shouting instead of speaking, and swearing aggressively. as he was unloading, he dropped my product (which cost over £400) aon the floor and almost lost his mind in rage, screaming expletives. he was extremely rude, angry, and i was completely terrified of him. he "asked" where the product was being delivered to and when i explained i needed it delivering upstairs to a second floor flat, he started angrily swearing again ("oh for **** sake, are you ******* joking" etc), and standing very close to me, he pointed his finger at my face repeatedly as he "explained" by shouting that he was unaware of the stairs and that he normally wouldnt carry any item up stairs. at this point i was physically shaking, i felt sick, i couldnt control my hands or even speak properly, the aggression this man displayed towards me was utterly terrifying and i thought he might hit me because he was so aggressive and angry, and not in control of his emotions at all. at this point his colleague, a younger man who so far had said almost nothing to me, but who was not experiencing the same rage issues, must have noticed my distress because he said something in a foreign language to the angry man, presumably "stop" and he then became silent, backed away from me and started to carry my product up the stairs, dragging it up so that it banged on the steps as he dragged it. the calmer man rushed to the other end of the product and lifted it so that it wouldnt drag and bang on the stairs. between them they moved the product up the stairs eithout any further incident. i couldnt even move, i was rooted in place in a state of shock of fear. the angry man left, the calm man asked me to sign my name on his form, and then he left. i went inside my property, still shaking, vomited, and cried. im absolutely disgusted and appalled. this man's behaviour and treatment of me was just beastly. i am already scared of men as i have suffered violence from men in the past, and this has only made it worse. i will never accept deliveries from bjshomedelivery again after this literal nightmare, horror show experience customer service do nothing to help and its clear that as a family business, they are allowing a member of their family to treat customers in the worst way. read the other reviews, there are TOO MANY 1 star reviews and terrible awful descriptions of this company i will be issuing a formal complaint with an ombudsman
