I found it prepared me with a few specifics and in a general way.

Very long course.... timed sessions in most cases were too long. Many of the questions on the test were not covered in the course..... but were not about boating itself, they were about administrative issues which i found odd. Anyways the course was however, very thorough and i did learn alot. Thankyou! Obviously your course worked well i pased with a 92!

Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback Andrew! We'll definitely take that into consideration with our future updates and courseware.

Found it annoying that the video kept looping instead of letting you read the information.

Would love to see different levels of permits available. I can nearly guarantee that I won't (and virtually every one of my land locked friends and acquaintances that I've talked to will never) operate a vessel on anything but small lakes and rivers. Most of the training and questions pertained to ocean and larger waterway operation. If you provided a choice of levels, then if anyone wanted the more extended licence they could apply for that. Also, am paranoid about "trick questions" on these things, ie: on one of the module quizzes the question was re: the colour of a diving BUOY - not the flag, but the buoy. The buoy is white (with a red flag/diagonal white stripe on top) and the only option in the answers for white was with a black stripe and that was apparently incorrect. Anyway, glad to have my permit and hope that the powers that be will consider making different levels available. Thank you..

The Boatsmart course was very educational but the Transport Canada final quiz did not reflect the course in the way the questions were worded. I found that after reading the study guide and doing the online course did not prepare me for the "trick" questions that could potentially have multiple answers. This was quite frustrating!

I was very frustrated that you don't get to know which answers you got wrong on the quizzes. Other similar courses for the boating exam did not do this. It makes it very hard to study.

Having a course online was convenient. The voice on the lessons was very monotone and 'cheap'. I got the impression it was done at a kitchen table and the guy reading the script had just finished a peanut butter sandwich.

Way to much to retain in between quizes! I spent in and around 15 hrs taking notes, I failed quiz 2, I did well at college and found this quite challenging. Definitely more difficult that writing g1 drivers licence.

Information was informative, but I think you should be able to read through at your own speed and not have to wait on a timed screen in order to proceed.
