It was a very thorough course, HOWEVER how does one learn when the Module test gives you a mark, but does not tell you which questions you got wrong & include the incorrect answer. This truly does not make sense to me.

We had slow internet so by the time we finished reading the lesson the timer hasn't even started yet! its very frustrating waiting for the timer. That's why this course takes so long.

Thanks for the review Gillian. Sorry to hear you had a difficult experience with our course. We understand the test can take a while for some students, but the time requirements and quizzes are required by Transport Canada & NASBLA to ensure students, of all levels, are able to fully understand all content. The timed requirements are the same across all course providers and we find many students prefer the convenience of completing the course from the comfort of home, rather than in a classroom setting. Once completed, your card is good for life – so thanks for sticking with it and safe boating!

Found that some answers for the quiz never showed up till next modual. I.e using blower fan at refueling. seemed long and boaring.

i found this course way too complicated for my needs... i just want to fish in a 12 ft aluminum boat with my grandkids...i feel you should catagorize the needs differently..shouldnt have to take 6 hrs to pass a test of this nature..if i need a car licence i shouldnt have to learn how to drive and maintain an 18 wheeler...

The whole process was very long . Have to wait for every question. When doing quiz and exam you dont know what questions u got wrong so thats not the best idea.

The course was very informative unfortunately there was a lot of repeating of previous modules throughout. Between the repeating of the same information multiple times and the videos only been 30 to 40 seconds long and having to load new videos it made the course way too long for a person who wanted to do it in one day. I started the course at 2 o'clock in the afternoon and I finished the test and printed my license off at 11 PM. When I did the final exam I noticed that there were multiple questions that were not reviewed in the course. I had purchased the course book through Canadian Tire and read through it multiple times on my own and then having to do the course before the test was unnecessary for me after reading the book that cost a extra $20. I believe that if a person purchases the book that there should be a code inside the book that allows the person to skip the lessons and go straight to the test as if challenging. I am happy to have the course done and I'm also very happy that it's only a one time thing. Thank you for your time John

I actually wasn't a fan of the course. There is good information but the modules are long and give you anxiety. If you don't pass you have to redo it. And you don't get to see what you answered wrong.

I liked the fact that I didn't need a supervisor for the test and how straight forward everything as laid out. However, I did find sections highly repetitive, and I hated how long all the timers were. If you look at my thing I spent forever doing it because I would constantly end up with 30-90 sec with nothing to do and would wander off to wait out the time, thus drawing the process out. I understand that the timers are to ensure everyone is doing the reading but with such little content to each page and with it all being so simple the timers could last a much shorter amount of time - or maybe even match the length of the video?

It was extremely educational and wonderful presentation format And extremely comprehensive. However without the printed guide I never would've passed any of the quizzes because the questions were often extremely detailed relating to relatively unimportant facts - government body names for example

I found the course to be too repetitive and if you are not successful on a quiz you have to go through the whole module again.

I think that the process was dragged out. I had read the boater's manual beforehand and already learned it. Having to wait to click the next slide wasted my previous reading because I had to read this anyways. I understand you want people to understand all of the rules and regulations but maybe let them write the test first and if they fail it for the module, then have the timed lessons.

video animation is alright but seems very childish and needs improvement. Given the importance of the training, the video's need to show the same importance. At the moment gives the impression of cheap low importance.

i think it should be more relevant to the type of boat you will be using and on which size of lake / waterway. questions regarding wake size near shore, bridges, other boats- safety on actually managing boat. I think young people would have a hard time with this exam with out help.

There are too many modules! Consolidate them please. I spent 1/2 the time just clicking play and next.
