The course was really good but I thought it was pretty pathetic but I had 74% and couldn't pass cuz you need to 75% so I had to redo the whole test again I got 76% like it's pretty bad but others are overall it's pretty good site

The course did cover all the the material required to pass the pleasure craft license exam, but I found parts of the course lengthy and even boring at times to the point that I just lost attention. For my purpose it could have been much shorter and more direct in terms of factual information..

Overall the information provided is very in-depth and useful. Some information was repetitive, the modules were quite long and occasionally the timer would be several times longer than the video so the video would play 3 times before it allowed you to move on.

Decent service but it has some issues. Often in the topic quizzes questions asked did not have content in the training. The biggest annoyance is the forced timer in the bottom, often a short 30 second video has a timer holding you there for far longer. I also found reference material to be not well detailed or explained poorly, aceboater does a better job with this. Also why is it mandatory to complete training on material that does not have to be covered such as trailering. Sure it's nice to have but I honestly have more than enough experience with hauling trailers, waste of my time.

I liked that it could be done at the comfort of home. Would be great if it told you what questions you got wrong so that you would know

Only way to get your boat license. So long.

The lessons were very informative, but the quiz questions seemed to be unrelated to the lessons and try to trick you to often. It is a very long, drawn out course.

Course was informative..many questions on test were not covered at all in course..needs to be updated and on par with ministry's test questions.

You don't show why questions are wrong. Odd.

I found it very informative when operating a boat on waterways.

Material was detailed, but presentation was dry. Understand that quiz questions can't be published, but if a test is not 100% it would be beneficial to direct the user to what chapter of the module they could review. Would be great to have an optional review module - so if a user takes the course over a longer period of time that they can do an overview of the most important components of the course (could be an optional module that is only unlocked if all other modules are completed). Course was easy to navigate.

It was very informative but took way too long. Questions could have been sped up a bit to shorten the time involved. Also - when I took quizzes and got questions wrong it needs to tell me what I got wrong - otherwise I may be doing things incorrectly thinking they're correct. This is a huge misstep in this process. Doesn't make any sense that they wouldn't let people know which answers were incorrect.

Hi Daniel, Thanks for the feedback! We understand the timers can be frustrating for quick readers, but they are required by Transport Canada (or NASBLA) to ensure all students take the time to truly read and understand the information. Additionally, they also do not allow for the incorrect answers to be displayed. This is to protect the integrity of online testing and all course providers have the same requirements.

BOATsmart got the job done... however most of it was repetitive or common knowledge.

I found the course very informative and well presented with understandable terminology, and lesson plans. the post module questions was very helpful.

Excruciatingly slow. Some valuable information, but not enough emphasis on signage and loosely accurate information about medical conditions, "water shock" and hypothermia.

Time was too long. i had time to finish reading the course well before the timer. sometimes the video would almost run twice before timer finish

Takes very long time .could be done shorter without multiple repetition and modules can be consolidated to save time

Appreciate that there is auditory, visual, & text to get in formation across. Didn't like that the module audio/video had to loop through multiple times to "run down the clock" for some lessons.
