“I really appreciated the visual videos and audio. The information presented was clear and simple. I thought the course took too long. I logged approximately 9 hours in this course! I also had trouble with the language on the exam. I accidentally switched the language to french. I couldn't switched it back to English. When I phoned BoatSmart for help, no one pickd up or phoned me back.”

“It would be better if you didn't have to wait the full time, some people read faster than others and waiting out the timer can get frustrating”

“I really liked the different options to learn the material ie audio, reading, video. I liked the encouraging comments in between the modules. Took some of the stress off. A bit frustrating when you are finished reading the material and the timer won't let you move on but I got used to it.”

“Pretty good course that properly prepared me for the final government-run exam. Wish that the lessons had been easier to print however as some facts are hard to remember without having a paper record and the lessons don't necessarily print cleanly. Otherwise, easy to follow and the website works well. No concerns and would recommend BOATsmart to others.”

“Having been a boater for 47 years and my family longer than that, I find the course to be little more than some really basic reminders, some common sense and a big ol' cash grab for the government and other stakeholders. I find some of the questions on the test inconsistent with the studies and many of the questions quite ambiguous. Most grateful my children have had lots of valuable & practical on water training prior to the test but thankful that they have completed the course and need not worry about it any further. Delighted they have this over with and will be legal from this day forth and perhaps a little wiser for having taken the course & test. Regards Michael”

“BOATsmart was an awesome way to obtain my pleasure craft operators lisence.I found it highly educational and it was easy to navigate thru using the internet compared to another one that I paid for and couldn't even figure out how to start the tests.The ONLY one I would recommend to friends or family would be BOATsmart!!”

“The entire module system takes way to long in order to get to the final test. I understand why it is done however I believe there should be a way to by pass the 5 hours worth of video watching. I studied the book for two full days, went to write the test and realized I had to spend a whole bunch of time watching videos I already knew.”
