To much reading/ information. Not all of us need our hand held to understand boating/ safe operation. Some simple reading + the online test would be way better. Not a drivers ed style learning program that eats up 6 hours of your day. Let people just take a test, especially if they are already competent. Informative, but way to much content.

Too many stupid questions about which agency writes rules or charts or enforcement. Why do we need to know that and why would we care. Questions need to be about operating boats.

The information was helpful and I understand the need for the course, however, the depth and amount of information I found to be a lot for an occasional, leisure small lake boater. I think there should be levels of boater and PWC lessons and licenses for the area and type of boating/PWC'ing one might be doing. I'm not sure if BOATsmart is able to make these changes or if it's the policy makers, but I think varying degrees and levels of licenses would be more helpful and user friendly, again depending on needs.

photos wouldn't load during the exam

the video's are very time consuming to click on each one and you have to scroll the page to click on the videos there not in the same position each time. I found the course pages very clunky and not streamline at all.

Overall it is a great course. I can either read the material or listen to it which is nice. However the course is more guided for bigger waterways like oceans and Great Lakes. It may not be the best suited course for those in the prairies where he have smaller lakes and lots of rivers

I bought three person one price was great. But my son messed up on his email for his and now we Can't fix it so I need a call for you. Thank other then that is was a good coarse but I had already been through the book so I would rather have had the opposition to go right to the exam rather then spend three hour going through it all over again.

The course was great, especially the quizzes at the end of each module. I just wish that the videos linked into each other or that there weren’t timers on the screen as I read faster than most. I felt well prepared for the final test.

I find it puzzling that at the end of each module you take a quiz and need a certain mb ark to pass. The problem being that you dont get to see the answers that were wrong . When doing the final checkout you could be seeing the same question and answer it incorrectly again . How do you learn from this format ?????

It was long I would have liked to have seen what answers I got wrong and right in each of the modules so I can improve on final test results.

way too much info for a trolling motor

Quite a few of the questions in the modules refer to which law or code is applicable, rather than dealing with more practical matters. I would like to point out I am 66 years old, I bought a 10' inflatable with a 4hp motor just to take up fishing. To spend 10 hours doing this course seems over kill for my application.

WAY TOO MUCH THAT IS NOT PERTINENT OR APPLICABLE TO THE AREA WHERE I LIVE AND BOAT. COULD BE CUT WAY DOWN AND TAYLORED PEDHAPS FOR THE NEEDS OF EACH INDIVIDUAL PROVINCE. DONT SEE THE NEED FOR LAND LOCKED PROVINCES TO HAVE TO KNOW ABOUT SHIPPING LANES, LOCKS ETC... TO ME THAT STUFF WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME

The course is way to long. There is irrelevant information that doesn’t apply to boat license. The fact that you have to wait on each page sucks you can read the page in less time then you have to wait. And if you don’t get 80% on the quiz you have to the lesson over and it doesn’t show you what you got wrong

With out prejudice. Terrible, as for public safety I have no idea which answers I gave were correct or wrong, by not knowing which, I may be jeopardizing my life and/or others. I think that's it your responsibility to advise writers of this exam their wrongs.

Very helpful and was interesting. But the length and if you failed would have to do it over again did not like that or it didn't give you your wrong answer. Some of the videos were covered twice. Really needs to to be shorter !
