“As a Benefits Administrator, I take pride in trying out products or services, so I know what employees experience when they use the services we offer. As a person who recently experienced loss, I had the need for short-term help in dealing with anxiety and depression. Brightside was an affordable option for me versus seeking help from my PCP or referred psychologist. The only downside I see to Brightside is the platform. The online portal is lacking in information. There is no way for me to see my visit history, and in the beginning, I could not contact my provider for a refill and would have gone without had I not reached out to another provider.
I cannot say the providers are outstanding or comprehensive. They seem like they are in a rush to see as many clients in one day as possible. They spend maybe 3-5 minutes with me asking the same questions that are asked on my “Brightside check-ins.” I guess you get what you pay for.”
“I have learned so much about myself and the things that I thought were normal for everyone, was not and that I have a lot of trauma to work through. I have had to do two assignments that at first I thought were not going to help at all but after doing them and discussing them with my counselor, I have felt a great weight be lifted off of my shoulders. I still have many triggers that affect me but I am positive that we are going to get through them all and I will find happiness again! Thank you!”
“I like that I can schedule an appt as soon as next day or even same day. I think there should be 50 min sessions, where you and the clinician can do talk therapy outside of med talk. It’s always so rushed and I never get ti say everythung I need to.”
“Brightside is great for someone dealing with depression. It offers great support. My therapist Ranesha is the greatest, she's patient and understanding, and really great at what she does. I'm very comfortable with opening up to her.”
“After experiencing therapy before, Brightside is new. Possibly the telehealth feature makes the difference. I’m using the tools, medication and directions given seriously, My particular advisory team have been able to first listen and respond with validation and support followed by guidance which if implemented and see results. I thank them.”
“I give a bright side a five I have been very pleased with the treatment I've gotten so far and would highly recommend this side to any and everyone out there”
“I do feel a lot better since I started seeing my therapist and psychiatrist through Brightside. My psychiatrist listens to me about my needs regarding my medications and makes adjustments as needed. I do feel the therapy could be a little more helpful and hands on or educational instead of just small talk pretty much. And I don’t like that we could be charged for being late to our session but the therapists and stuff are late to the sessions all the time.”
“Medications did not work well, two trips to the ER, every coversation results in a new visit with a new co-pay and hundreds of dollars later you’re worse than when you started.”
“Brightside has been good for me. It's allowing me to have more control over my emotions. Step outside myself and slow down my thoughts. The therapy is well needed. Feedback and lessons gives me more in depth things to help me become a better person.”
“I like how they give you lessons on different skills. So you can learn coping skills and how to identify emotions and such. so far the doctors are great too. They actually listen to you”
