I believe that Brightside is an excellent platform to receive mental health care. Unfortunately, they only accept a limited number of insurance plans keeping most of what they offer out of reach due to the financial commitment required by patients. If Brightside accepted my insurance (Anthem), I would certainly use more of their services. Until then, however, my rating is 3 stars for the platform. My rating for my psychiatrist, however, is easily 5 stars.

It's better than the alternative.

I don't like that I can't change providers. It's ok. I've had better experiences, I've had worse. Trying to get a refund for services I didn't use, we'll see how that goes.

Brandie Smalley has helped me tremendously with my anxiety and for that I am so grateful. However communication is very poor. If I leave a message I do not get a response in a reasonable amount of time. Also, when I try to make an appointment for a follow up there are only 2 options to choose from as to why I am requesting a follow up appointment and both indicate that I am having an issue with my medication. There should be a third option to choose that states that I am not having any problem I just need a follow up appointment. Please change this! It’s so confusing!

The care providers are excellent. The scheduling platform and response to questions on how to schedule is bad. For example, my psychiatric NP says, "See you in four weeks Amy," but it is impossible to schedule 1 mo in advance. This is unacceptable, especially as I NEED continuously refills on my medications. Email preferences also very hard to update. I took me 3 weeks to get my email preferences straightened out with admin. Nicole and Amit need to improve.

Doctor is well versed in antidepressants which was a requirement for me. I still think follow-ups should be at least 40 minutes. 15 minutes is untenable. If I were to join a different service it would be because of the 15 minute appointments. What would I do in a situation where I had a series of issues that don't fit the alloted minutes? I think because of the brevity of these meetings my doctor hasn't had time to know me as a person. Surely follow-ups should be there to reinforce trust not just manage drugs. Personally, in general the service itself is excellent for my lifestyle

Only offered me one therapist to choose from at a time, the first I did not like and the second is so hard to schedule with. Waiting for my first appt. Hopefully we hit it off and it was worth the wait

I think it’s helpful when I actually see my doctor, but I don’t feel like my care is a priority

I wish I could do talk therapy with the same person prescribing the medication. It feel’s disconnected talking to 2 people.

I don't quite know for sure. My doctor seems very attentive and answers my questions, but only time will tell. I would say so far so good.

I been speaking with a Psychologist and and Psychiatrist in my area. This seems to work better for me.

Convenient and quick to get an appointment. But disheartening that everything is strongly focused on depression and anxiety.

The medication is really working wonders. But I can't get a workable time to meet with a therapist, which has always been a problem. I thought an online service would be easier, but I'm having the same scheduling conflicts.

I am unclear on how to obtain refills and Also on how to ask meds be increased.

My provider and the app are fantastic. The reason not 5 stars is because the doctor has 72 hours to get back to you. They should respond within 36 hours especially when starting on new psych meds.
