“The providers are excellent. The billing is some of the worst I have come across. I do not receive notifications when they are going to debit my account, it just comes out. I shuffle money through different accounts and it would be nice to just collect the copay at time of services. I just had a debit taken for services on 5/28?!?!?! That was close to 2 months ago. While the service is a great idea, the billing portion is a joke. I am ending my relationship and stopping therapy because of this.”
“My therapist and provider have been fantastic. The part I do not like is I had to stop communicating with them because of an issue with my insurance. It took a month to get resolved.”
“Overall ok. But I’m not able to message my provider directly on the app. Every time I click on the app it only shows the page that appointment scheduling is on. I need to contact my provider for questions, do I just schedule it like an appointment or is there a different process?”
“I had an initial appt with a therapist and she canceled the day of I found out in the app after I waited in the online waiting room for the connection so I had to reschedule. Do you the rescheduling I had a conflict arise but when I canceled I was charged $60. Disgusting so I changed my plan to eliminate the therapy. Horrible experience for someone already depressed. Shame on you all.”
“Hello,
This is great but the app lapses a lot. I updated it and it treated me as a new patient. I need my medication refilled and not sure how. Also? It won’t me reschedule an appt.
Karilyn”
“Brightside has definitely help with my depression and anxiety. So helpful to connect with a physician and help with medication. Though the app is not easy to use. It glitches every time it asks for an update on my progress and freezes my phone completely that I have to restart it. So annoying!”
“Great setup and scheduling. The selection of therapists and matching is very good. Need work on customer service, billing, and general communications (such as phone numbers). Communication is needed with other patient providers for the coordination of care.”
“It's a work in progress. Too many limitations on the services provided. No live person to speak with. Their customer service response times are poor. There is limited information available prior to signing up with their services. Make sure you read ALL the fine print”
“So far I have scheduled three sessions over the last three Sundays.
* The first went well and I was so happy to find a therapist I felt connected to.
* For the second appointment, my therapist didn’t show up and didn’t send responses to my private messages until several days had passed.
* For the third, the therapist canceled the appointment with 30 minutes of the scheduled start time. She didn’t send me any messages or reasons for needing to cancel it.
At this point I feel very discouraged in trying to get help for my childhood sexual abuse trauma. I will see how the next scheduled session goes (6/10), assuming it occurs, and decide if I am going to cancel with Brightside altogether.”
“I wish I could say I loved it but the app has been repeatedly preventing me from scheduling an appointment with my care provider. So I've only been able to meet with my care provider once. I've contacted support and they didn't fix it, so I'm having to coordinate solely via messages for now.”
“I don’t like that the doctors are unable to write prescription for controlled substances as that is all I am taking. Therefore, I don’t know how long I can continue”
