“I wish I could schedule regularly recurring appointments vs. having to select a new date and time each time. Have a very busy life and it’s hard to remember to take care of my mental health until it becomes evident that I really need to.”
“Very convenient. I like that part. Provider doesn’t listen too well though. I had to say twice that I was looking to reduce meds to get off meds not just get another prescription at the same amounts. I tried to ask another question one day and he just said to go to customer service if he paid attention he would have realized it was a definite provider question. Wasted time sorting that out. Very irritating and unprofessional. That being said, I feel like he’s knowledgeable with getting me to reach my goal safely. He only needs to listen the first time and not anssume and I’d give a 5!”
“I really like both of my providers but working with Brightside Health is giving me anxiety. They email and text every day, sometimes multiple times per day - aaaagghhh!!”
“The initial appointment was great. The process seemed easy and effortless. Now that I am needing to get my prescription refilled, I have messaged my care provider and not heard back. My pharmacy has sent a request to refill and a week later it still hasn’t been refilled.”
“While I think organizations like Brightside can helpful, I wouldn't recommend them to people with other options through health insurance.
In my experience, the mental health team has either been very slow or responded with too little information, which was sometimes confusing to me as a patient, who was concerned with the mixture of medications I was prescribed.
In the end, I just told my provider what medication I wanted to take, which I had taken in the past and had to move things forward for myself. It didn't seem like I was receive guidance and support from a professional. Just a few things to keep in mind for the leaders at the Brightside and potential patients.”
“I’m doing one day at a time, I really don’t feel comfortable with the therapist that I am seeing and have requested for a new one and haven’t heard anything back so as of right now, I am pretty disappointed.”
“Psychologist is great- but app never has correct times on schedule for therapist, and although her schedule doesn’t work for me- I don’t know how I can switch to a new provider.”
“The services are straightforward however the ios app is buggy and i cant access my homepage. This makes it impossible for me to take advantage of all the tools that can help me get better.”
“Overall I'm hopeful about this platform but it's been a struggle to get the app/site to work properly and it's impacting my care. There are many issues with the lessons and the observations you're supposed to provide, making it hard to get the full benefit. The app/site just doesn't work properly so I often can't complete the lessons before meeting with my therapist and by the time I can complete them we need to move on to other topics or way too much time has gone by.
I also don't understand the decision to just allow booking one appointment at a time. This makes it very hard to plan and schedule, as often by the time I'll allowed to book my next appointment, my therapist has very few sessions available. This has meant I'd needed to go weeks between sessions, rather than meeting weekly.
Lastly, the reminders for appointments are too frequent. Getting multiple emails, texts, push notifications leading up to every appointment is a bit much.”
