“Brightside wasn't clear from the beginning about the length of each session. I'm also being charged a full copay of $50 for half the amount of time that I should be given? I've had three visits thus far + spent the last one talking about techinical issues. I feel frustrated because I'm being charged over the amount I was promised and I'm also not getting anything accomplished.”
“Your system doesn't let you make appointments with your doctor and I don't want to see we another one. Fix it .. get me my appointment Dr Lowenstein.”
“The therapy was so generic, bad, unpersonal, and quite frankly insulting that I gave up on it with several sessions left to go. The medicine stuff is fine.”
“Bait-and-switch marketing. With Brightside, I felt a promising rapport during my intake appointment and felt encouraged with the treatment options we discussed. Only to have Brightside come back three days later and say I should go to an onsite doctor instead. Just like the other user said - they were all-too eager to have an intake appointment and charge me (after I had provided the exact same information through their screening questionnaire).
Brightside markets themselves as a niche provider that specializes in care for anxiety and depression. Yet, when I tried to receive specialized care for my anxiety, they vaguely suggested I go back to a general psych provider. But again, only after they had taken my money. Their marketing emphasis and their standard of care are disjointed. And honestly, it seems like that may be by design. I was thrilled to find a remote doctor, as I have social anxiety, so it was quite the bait-and-switch. Feel very let-down and deprioritized. Honestly feel much more hopeless as a direct result of their care team.”
“I’m having a hard time getting in touch with anybody I had a phone call now but I’m having issues that I need my medication and this is more complicated than seeing a doctor in person”
“High monthly fee, out of pocket (do not take insurance), for literally nothing. Visit with the doctor for prescription for 10 minutes, sure, that's billable. But why am I paying $100/month for literally nothing when I pay for my prescription outside of that and no doctor visits or anything with Brightside??”
“The practitioners don't show up, they switch your provider any time they want with no warning and the appointments are too short to have actual treatment plans worked up. Just a prescription service but not even that because the practitioners don't show up to meetings.”
