“I needed an under-cupboard kitchen radio/CD player to replace the Sony one I had. The replacement had to be DAB with an external aerial. The Soundmaster UR2170SI seemed to fit the bill. Buying it was painless, a reasonable price and it arrived in good condition at the time I was told it would. Then the fun started. The unit is German-made and the manual is printed in German (obviously), four other languages and broken English! I did not find the instructions that easy to follow and, after getting very frustrated, was on the point of asking my German neighbour to come round and set the thing up when more by accident than anything, I got the hang of it myself. It spoilt the experience somewhat, but now that it is up and running I have no complaints about quality, including the sound. Purists could maybe find fault, but who needs super-hifi in the kitchen? Suggestion? In the interests of customer service get the manual reprinted after someone fluent in English does a proper translation. I have wondered what the standard of translation is like for the other languages.”

“Good speaker for what Ii wanted and looks good in my bathroom. I haven't yet managed to work out how to use the radio with mobile interruption when I receive a call. I did send an enquiry for help but have not received a reply yet.”

It's good to know that your SoundMaster BT550 Bluetooth Shower Speaker is just what you needed for your bathroom. Unfortunately we could not seem to find your initial email, but we hope the advice Rob sent you regarding the pausing of music from your device whilst calls are received helped. “This is the second purchase I have made from BuyCleverStuff as I bought a DAB bathroom radio a few years ago which I am happy with. The kitchen radio that I have just bought arrived on time and was easy to install and set up. I already had a roof aerial which connected easily with a coaxial cable. The radio was easy to tune and I am quite happy with the purchase. The only downsides are that I can not detect and noticeable difference when using the different equalizer settings and the remote control is not very responsive,”

We really appreciate you firstly coming back to purchase again from us and also taking the time to have reviewed us, and also in this instance, your purchase of a KB Sound Space Bluetooth FM / DAB system with Two Way Stereo Speakers. Sometimes with any EQ settings, it is best to work in conjunction with any Bluetooth device you are using, and also with the remote control, ensure you are in reasonable distance for functions to be controlled. “Ordering on line was easy and efficient and would certainly use BUYCLEVERSTUFF again. The delivery guy did however have some difficulty with the item as it was packed behind some larger deliveries which caused him some frustration but all was dealt with professionally.”

“It's surprising that no-one else seems to make a quality radio/CD player that is designed to fit under a wall cupboard in a kitchen. We'd seen one in daughter's kitchen, and searched on line to find this was the only one -and same as hers! Fortunately, the unit is of good quality, fits well with good instructions and works just fine. It's such a neat solution to having sound in the kitchen, and a good finishing touch to our new kitchen.”

“DAB Radio arrived on time - no problem. However - not 5 stars - as we have installed it today - and it had ONE screw missing - a special size, so nothing we could find at home to fit - so it is held up with just 3 screws! Probably would work better with the Digital aerial they recommend, but thought we'd try it without - it does work!”

“KB Sound iSelect with ipod dock Customer service was excellent, the product was delivered the next day as promised. I was a little disappointed with the product, at the price I would have expected a power cord to be attached, if not a UK plug, also very limited control of the ipod when using the KB sound remote control.”

Thank you for your review, we're pleased that you were able to receive fantastic customer service from us, and this will be passed on to the team. Across the KB Sound range, products do not include power cords, they are to be connected to your mains supply in whatever way you choose. I believe my colleague Rob was also able to confirm to you that these are, unfortunately, the only controls available with the iSelect remote when connected to an iPod docking station, or if connected via Bluetooth. “Very easy to fit, although I wasn't expecting a power pack normally associated with a laptop. This was easily fixed by running some 2-core wire and connecting nearer the plug socket, so it wasn't visible near the unit. Easy connection to speakers and Bluetooth works very well with multiple devices that I've tried with it. The speakers are pretty decent although, as I expected, the bass could be a little fuller. Overall though satisfied with the purchase. The whole family is now enjoying the system in our kitchen - just have to work on their music taste now...”

It's great to know from your AVID CLB In-Wall Bluetooth Amplifier & 5" Ceiling Speakers review that you have been able to integrate it into your home so well. As you so rightly point out in regards to the bass response, you may have found a slightly fuller bass with a larger 6.5" Ceiling Speaker. We're always happy to help our customers with their needs and requirements before, during and after purchase, but unfortunately when it comes to music tastes, our customer service advice might be a little stretched to find a solution there! “Having purchased a KB Space 6" Ceiling Speaker System, I found the installation and operating instructions received with the Spanish system to be worse than useless. However there are downloaded-able PDF instructions on the web site of Buy Clever Stuff which help a little. Telephone back up service and advice from Jon and his team is excellent, professional and accurate! Once installed and working the unit is neat, unobtrusive and the sound quality excellent. “Fitting under the cupboard was a bit of a challenge since the gap between the counter top and cupboard is normally restricted. The answer i found was to make a template of the underside of the TV with the screw holes marked. Perhaps something the manufacturers could have provided.”
