“The purchase of the D750 went very smoothly (over three short visits) and was satisfactory in all respects. A subsequent visit to look for a lens cap and a neuter filter of 40.5 mm for a Coolpix P7800 that I had bought separately, was met with doubts by the assistant as to whether such items actually existed. Eventually - after much tappin on the keyboard and consultation with a colleague and upon my showing the ones I do have - he conceded, but they did not have them. I have the impression that this is not the shop for small-time customers such as myself, and so I settled for 4 stars only. GG”

“Sales assistant was very knowledgeable and willing to help even when i said that i came just to ask few things. i left the shop very happy with information and in the end purchased few things. the only drawback was waiting to time to be served. there are not many shop people and if they all have one customer it could be a long wait until you get help.”

“Was very pleased with an on the day money off offer. Would have been better if a free spare battery was on offer too. Some discrepancy with pricing for items being sold individually and as a package (latter was more expensive) but was corrected by staff member. A bit busy for my liking and may prefer to shop when less people around..”

“Fast delivery, arrived earlier than anticipated. However, one star off due the camera body having signs of handling, maybe tests or demonstrations have been done clearly- finger prints etc. I am not too concerned with such things as the camera works fine and I trust Calumet... but some other customers may think or suspect otherwise. Keep a note of that! Many thanks.”

“I will always try to make Calumet my first choice as long as they are price competitive - they are one of the few big online players who still run a chain of outlets stocked with "enthusiastic amateur/professional" equipment and run by very knowledgable staff. I can only give 4 stars as they can't always compete with the online only companies but I will pay a small premium to have the backup of a real shop to discuss my needs and actually touch the products - if you don't use them you lose them...... “I ordered a printer at The Photo Show from Calumet. I was unaware that the printer was placed on back order, and delivery would be delayed by 4-5 weeks. However, once Calumet were aware that I needed the printer asap, they were very helpful and it was delivered within about 2 weeks. It was despatched via next day courier on the day that they received the stock - so in the end they had a very happy customer in me.”

“The guys know the subject and can give advice on what I need. It's a relaxing atmosphere in the shop, no pressure to buy but there when you need them for guidance and help. One shop I like going into and going back. When I'm ready to upgrade my camera I will be paying them a visit, for sure.”

“The product I ordered was a billingham bag in black, it said it was out of stock but you could still order it, so I did and didn't hear anything for a few days. So I phone your customer service and they were great ! Very helpful and informative! I feel if you could send a expected deleivery date ?”

“I ordered my Manfrotto back pack from the Photography show at the NEC. After a few days the parcel had not arrived so I gave the main depot a call. The gent was very helpful but couldn't find my parcel so arranged for a call back the next day. I did receive a call back and was told the package had been dispatched. I received it the very next day. Very friendly service”

“I ordered 10 rolls of Fuji Provia, which is becoming increasingly difficult to find for a good price these days. Ordering was straightforward and the price was about the best I could find on then net. I was hoping to get delivery before Easter, as my previous purchases were usually delivered the next day. Sadly this was not to be, as I received an update from the courier saying that the parcel would be delivered on 2nd April, then another saying the package was not yet received from Calumet. Tracking updates were fairly good and package finally turned up on the Tuesday. Hopefully this was just a Bank Holiday glitch, but it has not put me off ordering again, I would also say the items were slightly over-packaged in a sturdy box with bubble wrap and air pillows, where a jiffy bag would probably have sufficed, but better safe than sorry I suppose.”

“Amazing phone service fast and reliable, had to exchange my new Canon 5DIII because of the manufacturer fault, and the service was reliable, quick and polite, ive had my camera the next day in my hands as there were non in the store. Thanks ++”

“I went to the Calumet shop to discuss the purchase of a lens rather than making an online purchase. The staff were helpful, listened and answered my questions in a clear and polite manner. I would recommend visiting the Calumet shop in Drummond Street, London.”
