“The guys at Calumet are very good and knowledgeable about the products they sell. I have bought a Canon 5D Mark 3 as well as a Bowens Gemini 2 head studio kit and whenever I have any questions as I am new to the world of photography world I go to the store and get all my questions answered by someone who knows what they are talking about. I would recommend Calumet to anyone as its a great company to deal with with good service.”

“The head I bought for my tripod wasn't what I thought it was. It doesn't do portrAit. It was scratched and without a cover. I have also scratched it now so can't return it. It's a good head but perhaps I should have explained a bit more. Will be on eBay soon I think.”

“Unfortunately, I have been very disappointed on the two and only occasions that I have made a purchase from Calumet Photographic. Firstly I ordered Adobe Lightroom during a seminar at Calumet Manchester. This was out of stock. I made the arrangement with Calumet to pick up a disk at the London Drummond Street store the following week as I was on another seminar. When I got the disk box home, there was no disk inside and I was only given a display box. After many phone calls eventually got the software. My second disappointing experience was when I ordered my Canon 6D. I made the order as soon as Calumet announced the Canon 6D. The order was taking a long time to arrive with me. I called Calumet Drummond Street and a member of staff asked me if I had ordered the 60D as she did not know anything about Canon launching a 6D. When I eventually spoke to someone who knows about Cameras, Calumet was not receiving the stock from Canon at a time when Jessops already had the 6D in stock. I had to cancel my order with Calumet and give Jessops my £1799.00 for the Canon 6D. Talking about Seminars, I have been on quite a few of these at Calumet. Some of them are quite good but many are appauling. It really depends on the tutor. I can recommend Jayce Clarke but I will never again go on a Seminar with Richard Southall or Jason Harry. Finally and it is to no surprise to say that will never make another purchase with Calumet going on the awful experience that I have received. Luckily there are many other retailers wanting my money for camera equipment.”

It was a brilliant level of customer care that left me happy with my purchases. I would definitely recommend Calumet!”

“Went in looking to upgrade my camera bag. A short time after there was myself and the sales assistant sat on the floor surrounded by backpacks, my gear and their gear that matched my future aspirations to ensure I got it right both now and when my aspirations became a reality. Sorry internet, you just can't compete with this.”

“I've recently purchased Canon 5DIII from Calumet store in Euston together with some other equipment bits. The service was quick, straightforward with the sales assistant Michael informative, helpful and very friendly. It helped we could communicate via emails as this saved me calling or visiting the store in person. Email responses were always very professional and prompt. I was happy with the stock they had in store and was able to buy everything right away. His technical knowledge was impeccable and I was happy to be advised on a few small things. I'd like to highly recommend Calumet to fellow photographers, I know I will use them time and time again. Thanks very much guys, Monica (architecture | interiors | lifestyle photographer).”

“Bought a sekonic lightmeter which had a faulty thumb wheel. Raised a complaint but then heard nothing after receiving a confirmation e-mail. Telephoned after two weeks to find nothing had been done. Finally had a call to let me know a replacement was available after waiting 6 weeks. Had to make a 90 mile round trip to exchange my faulty meter at a cost of around £30 and three hours of my time (not counting telephone calls etc to chase up original complaint). I suggested they throw in a pack of five rolls of film (RRP £32) as compensation but this was too much apparently despite me saving them courier costs for collecting the faulty meter and sending out the replacement. I'll shop locally in future and I recommend you do the same.”

“After receiving my goods I had a change of mind. Calumet were most understanding. They did a switch and refunded the difference. Totally satisfied. Pleasant, helpful, and easy to deal with. Highly recommended.”
