“Received excellent service at store closing time for a difficult to find item”

“In store staff are great ... web site very clunky and not user friendly .... turnaround of goods very poor you have products on your website when you try to order they could take 1 week to 10 days to get in stock and deliver (profoto) not good enough for a busy professional . You lost a sale from me as 1 of your competitors had the products to me next day. If you are selling products such as the profoto rfi range to the professional market you should have demos in stock in all branches these products are not cheap and it would be good to sample before purchasing .”

“excellent service, and fantastic product. I was paying £25 more for almost the same thing from elsewhere and the delivery was non existent. I could afford to pay next day delivery and still get my giclee paper cheaper than before and far quicker. As a printing company getting things quickly is very important. shall use them from now on all the time.”

“Dealing with Calumet Manchester is a very positive experience indeed. They are professionals who are genuinely willing to meet your expectations. Pricing is in line with the market nowadays and more importantly you can actually touch the product you want to buy. “Been a customer since early 1980's in Manchester, then Edinburgh and now Bristol. - still good service but just get used to one member of staff and they go, so not a lot of consistency (except good ol' Andy Johnson). Still very helpful and knowledgable at the Bristol branch. Just do something about that bloody awful door chime! Dr.Andrew Stevens Andy Stevens Photography. Bristol”

“Only use Calumet for rentals. Always very helpful, and appreciate the bundle deals / weekend for 1 day offer. I have seen schemes in the States where you can rent lenses by post - I would be interested in something similar in the UK”

“Always pleasure to shop at Calumet... I just hoped that Calumet could by pass sometime Nikon or Canon offers so to help more photographer buying camera and other equipment. That's like interest free period also for buying a Nikon camera too, Hope there could be a forum one day , a technical forum where Calumet pro customers could directly be linked or heard by Nikon or Canon head quarters whom could listen and make improvements on cameras according to pro needs and where possible...”

“Always get good service and advice from Calumet. Just wish they had a retail outlet in Milton Keynes - however the retail counter at their Head Office is very good when you know what you want to get. The lady who runs the trade counter is a great ambassador to Calumet. A slight disappointment that they seem to lack the shoulder bags (Calumet branded) that I want to buy. Only one or two stores appear to have them. MK and Drummond Street continually do not have them.”

“My experience relates to the rental section at Manchester. Service was very poor. Called to rent a lens and was told that the rental section was busy and they would call me back. Nobody called me back. Called again the next day and again was told that the rental section was busy by the manager of the store. I mentioned that I had been waiting all day the day before for a call and the manager said that the chap in charge of rental was probably with somebody all day. Terrible service deeply embedded into their corporate culture. I really do believe that they think it's ok to behave like that.”

“We often use the Glasgow branch of Calumet. Without fail the guys are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Almost all our photographic supplies are bought from there, and anything they don't have in stack, they can normally have within a couple of days. Highly recommended.”

“I have never had a problem in store or over the phone with Calumet. There is always someone on hand to provide experienced advice, the staff live and breathe photography/film so it's not hard to get them excited about your equipment problems. Great service and highly recommended.”
