We bought a canon 600 which we had a problem with the automatic flash just out of its guarantee and are being charged £160 for repair. I think this is outrageous and very poor after care service.

The mail order was fine...but I am disgusted with what has been done to your Bristol Branch. I know no one there now.

I ordered one day, the goods were with me the following morning. I couldn't fault the service.

Website The website really doesn't work. Wrong products classifications and several issues with the payment procedure. Also stock information are often false. Drummond Street Store Staff With few exceptions the staff have (Chris, James, Amanda) no idea of the products. They can manage an old lady searching a compact camere but for sure they can't manage professional photographer as customers. Drummond Street Rental Desk The rental desk offer a very good service. Drummond Street Store The store is good, but the habit of moving things really annoying me. I have for my business more then 1,8k of customers, photographer based in London, and the vast majority think the same. Also for the flagship store we aspect to have more samples of represented brands ( example Park Camera store - 550 yards away have less space but better exposition of many brands such Manfrotto, Gitzo, Lastolite, GoPro ) Calumet Brands Items, many items are often out of stock. As Calumet you must have your own products. Do not have in stock a product )many I can say) for months is a clear sign of incompetence. excuses about cinese production issues are just what they are excuses.... In september I had a list of 187 items to buy - all from Calumet - I still waiting for some of them to be available... IT infrastructure. Your men and women's at the desk still work with something from AS400 era. For them is difficult to have an access to online catalogue too because of your IT system. Look like very inadeguate. Is it so difficult give to them an iMac or an iPad or both and develop on it a specific application for the job. I have done it for my business in few weeks. Direct Photo have done it.Pro Centre too, Flash Centre idem. remove the dust from the computers and your brains. Customer Service for collect in store...... First the man on the phone must speak English, if not a Queen English for sure not a Bengali dialect or such similar idioma. You must suppose to have international customers not familiar with it. Second point when you advice by mail customers that they have to collect items in store, please don't say your order is ready when you had only one of eleven items ready. You manage the time as employee we - costumers - manage our time in a very different way it is a question of respect. Many thanks and regards

Excellent service from start to finish - From enquiring on the phone to going down to make my purchase. All staff were polite and helpful as well as being extremely knowledgeable about their camera equipment. Highly recommended. Thank You.

The overwhelming impression left at the end of a shopping visit to Calumet, is how understaffed they generally are. Every time I visit Calumet, I wait ages for assistance from counter staff, as do the other people I can see during my time there.

I bought an Epson printer and spare sets of inks at one of Calumet's open days. The printer arrived very quickly with no problems. I knew when I ordered them that the spare ink set was out of stock, so I was happy to wait. But in the end I had to chase Calumet. The first person I spoke to did not get back to me as promised, so I had to chase again and it got sorted. There seemed to be some internal paperwork problem which the company needs to address.

Knowledgeable and approachable staff with their willingness to match other offers make the purchasing decision easier, stocks are normally very good but can be replenished from other branches as needed. I researched the Canon 5DMkiii for the past year before taking the plunge and Calumet has been the retailer I have bought my last 2 Canon cameras from and I have complete confidence in them.

I paid to attend a seminar last year that never went ahead as the photographer had booked elsewhere. I agreed (in-store in-person) at the time that the fee would be held as a credit against my name, should I wish to book on another seminar. On Dec 18th I asked for a refund instead as I had no time to rebook. The process of obtaining this refund took many emails to the store and overall took approx 4 weeks to sort out - eventually a cheque arrived after I chased it down myself at the Calumet head office - It took FAR too long to sort out. The local store was very little help indeed as the people there would not contact the head office accounts dept on my behalf to sort out - I had to do this myself after waiting forever - they were simply happy to fire off periodical emails, into the ether, to colleagues getting no response for weeks on end without properly sorting it out - this was BAD SERVICE. Calumet Credit notes = Never again.

I must say the Calumet experience has improved no end in the last 5 years. As a professional, my experience of Calumet was always, "we haven't got it in stock", "its at our branch in Bognor" , "we can have it sent down",or "thanks for your order, unfortunately we've run out....". To complete disinterest....this angered me considering that most pros spend A LOT on equipment, and purchases have to work on a daily basis, not just look good around your neck ! I recently purchased a Nikon D800, and my purchase, straight through from my initial phone call, to pick up was handled with great efficiency and professionalism.

Customer support and good communications are most important to me when buying camera equipment for my business. Angus in Calumet Belfast scored top marks in these departments. Thanks guys, I'm certainly happy to recommend and will be dealing with you again in the future.... Peter in Waterford.

Equipment purchase from Calumet Euston has been fine this year with the only niggle being the wait for attention in the shop when busy.

Few dealer have the Manfrotto RC4 system in stock. Calumet do, and deliver quickly. That's good service and good enough for me!
