“Excellent support. I wished to rent a radio mike set for 4 weeks and Calumet Birmingham immediately advised me it was only £35 more to buy. Decision made. Then I needed it urgently the next morning and amazingly they got the stock transferred from London and in store before 10am the next day. No pressure to buy, but advice and support that builds customer loyalty!”

“The lady on the phone was really helpful even though I phoned at about 805 am , the ordering process was quite painless and delivery was exactly when they said. My daughter was over the moon with everything , will.definitely use again”

“As always the service was great at the Edinburgh store , the team there meld together quite well , first class advice and absolutely no pressure , it's almost as if the staff don't want you to buy anything (in a good way) , they simply lay down the facts , take your needs and navigate you to the product that will best suit you and your requirements . Calumet may be slightly more expensive than other retailers , but I know that I am well vested in anything I purchase from calumet . Recently I purchased a canon 5d Mkiii , already owning a Mkii , I was asked by a member of the staff what my intentions were for the Mkii ? "I'm not sure but given the feel of the Mkiii I think that I will probably sell it " Well - rather than pitch me a 'wonderful' trade in which I'm sure would have left me short of a pound or two ! They simply offered to give my old camera body a full service and sensor clean completely free of charge so that it would be in tip top condition for the new owner . I think this is normally 50-75 pounds , so , pretty decent of them . Service like that is very very hard to find . 5 stars once again . With to particular credit to the manager , his mannerism makes him a born leader and his team are a credit to him .”

“I bought a couple of polarising filters, a tripod and a bag. The assistant was very helpful and advised me to take the calumet polarising filters which work well. The tripod is a Manfrotto and is of very high quality. The Bag is also a Manfrotto and I'm pleased with it with one exception. The bag should come with a waterproof cover. The assistant took it out to show me the bag but forgot to repack it. Despite 2 calls to the company, I'm still waiting for the cover to be posted out to me.”

“Calumet Euston, it's a great store, everything is great but except from the Floor Manager 'Jamie' who served me on both 2 separate occasions. I found his attitude towards me not great at all, as I found him rather rude in the way he spoke. I came to refund a product because I had found it cheaper elsewhere, he asked where and I told him where, he raised one eyebrow at me. His expression and the way he looked at me like I was some kind of idiot, I found this extremely rude. He looked back at me with his raised eyebrow, and replied "right...okay... well do you that....etc...?" I'm not sure about the other staff... but it would be nice if he had a more positive and friendly attitude toward customers. The experience for me was rather unpleasant because of him. Customers should be valued and respected, but his attitude was just not nice. On the other hand, during my first shop at calumet euston I was served by Amanda, she was such a lovely lady, very nice and helpful.”

“Very versatile allowing the removal of tripod so freeing up floor space. Both height and extension adjustments are very secure. Comes with a plastic tab saying “pull” on the height adjustment fastener. This inhibited the release of the height adjuster, even when pulled so removed it, now works fine. Good solid construction with no flexing of the boom arm even when fully extended.”

“Very helpful staff, who listened to my requirements and brought out a variety of items for me to inspect and try out. This allowed me to make the best selection and purchase the item that best suited my needs. I then asked a number of questions related to technical aspects of some equipment I already owned, seeking advice about how alterations could be made to fit different items together - good advice was offered. Altogether a very pleasant and beneficial experience.”

“Technical product support is excellent. Interest free payment terms for 24 months was great for my personal needs as this means it doesn't get noticed by the wife radar!! But seriously, it allows users like me to explore products which would not normally be affordable, couple this with the extras my local store throws in as part of the deal gives the company a very happy customer. I prefer Calumet to Jessups as I feel they understand their customers and needs exactly.”

“The member of staff, called Tom was exceptionally helpful and friendly, he helped me decide on my purchase and told me of latest offers. I purchased a canon 5d mkiii camera. I would highly recommend calumet and use them for most of my camera and studio equipment.”

“Last week I needed, at short notice, a memory card and spare battery for my 5D mk2. Having walked out of a national chain of computer retailers, feeling depressed by the uncaring, uninformed staff, I drove down to the Edinburgh branch of Calumet. The young woman at the counter immediately asked if I needed any help, gave excellent advice - pointing out they had a £26 Calumet battery which she'd had good customer feedback on, as an alternative to the £69 Canon version. So I left feeling, 'What an excellent place!' The only problem is that Calumet should do more to advertise their rather obscure location, especially with the demise of Jessops Edinburgh branch and Jacobs.”
