“The Carfax report said that the car I was looking at was significantly over Blue Book value based on the maintenance records. The previous owner brought the car into the dealership every time the slightest issue arose. I bought it to go cross-country, and I knew I needed something reliable. After 6,000 miles in three weeks, no issues whatsoever. Thanks, Carfax!”

“Paying so much for a pre-owned vehicle made be nervous. The owner seemed like a nice, honest guy but I was still hesitant so I ordered a Carfax report. Much to my relief, I discovered everything the previous owner told me was true and Carfax informed me exactly how much time I had left on the manufacturer's warranty. Thanks Carfax for the extra peace of mind the report gave me. And yes, I bought the new truck with confidence. Lucy”

“When I called to ask about the mileage exception listed on my Carfax report, the dealer took note. Even though it was explained by an "instrument cluster change," the dealer understood I was seriously paying attention to what I was being told about the car.”

“I was looking for R53 Mini Cooper S on Craigslist. There were many enticing offers, with "low mileage", "full service records", and "extras". When I narrowed down my search, using some CARFAX reports I'd found some interesting discoveries about my "favorites": a) "low mileage" on a car can mean that a car was in a crash, then put away b) "new parts" on a car can mean that a car was in a crash, then put away c) "runs great, full service" can mean: yeah it looks alright, but I've only had it for a month, guaranteed service records as far back as I know (~ 2-3 months)... With the help of the reports I was bale to not only separate the cream from the crop, but also negotiate a great price for a car that I really enjoy. Well worth the membership, Thanks CARFAX!”

“I was going to trade my 2005 pontiac for a 2004 cadillac. The cadillac looked great but upon asking the dealer for a carfax he scoffed at me, once receiving the carfax I saw the car wasn't just totaled out once, but was rebuilt and totaled out a total of 3 times. And the carfax report valued the cadillac at $2800, which he was asking $7,900 for. Needless to say carfax might have saved my life.”

“We were looking to purchase an Acura TL for our son. We had narrowed our search to three Acura TL's. After looking at all three my son wanted us to purchase the black one because he really liked black. All three cars were similar in price, condition, and milage. The only real difference was color. Although we had a good feeling about the three choices we decided to get a CarFax report on each of the cars. The results were shocking. The black Acura TL had been reported as a total loss in an accident. The other two came back clean. However, the owner if the Acura we actually purchased as been very up front with some information about the car that was confirmed by the CarFax report. We are very happy with a vehicle purchase and thankful that the CarFax saved us from purchasing a car that would have placed my son's safety at risk. We will always get a CarFax when purchasing a used vehicle. Ken Roberts”

“I was looking for a good, safe car for my teenagers to share. I was ready to buy on three occasions, Honda Civics, that I thought were being advertised "honestly". After doing a CarFax each time, I was disappointed to find the cars had a Rebuilt Title attached to them. I finally was able to buy an excellent used car that I can put my children in with peace of mind, knowing they will be safe, and not a potential lemon with unforeseen problems. “We were dead set on a 2013 Nissan Cube and just prior to going to the bank to withdraw the cash I saw an ad for Carfax and remembered I had not done that yet. We got the Vin # and it was reported as a lemon and had been sold 3 times prior. So we waited a day, and found a 2011 Cube with less miles, one owner, and a clean title! So happy we saw the TV ad, I truly feel it saved us serious money and head aches. Thank you Carfax.”
