“Looking at a 2003 VW Beetle for my daughter, car had been repainted, carfax uncovered a total loss by the insurance company, 4 years ago. So I ask the dealer about the repaint, he tells me it was a southern car, had a bit of sun damage, they repainted the whole thing. So I ask him if he means southern Wisconsin, because car spent its whole life there. He didn't have much to say after that, and my wife thought I was rude. Ha, car fax saves the day.”

“CARFAX is a very reliable tool that I recently used while searching for a used car in my area. The car I focused on had been involved in a previous accident which was noted on the CARFAX. With this information in hand I questioned the seller who confirmed the vehicle history as correct. Supporting information showed the damage had been repaired correctly and was relatively minor. I was able to make an informed decision and purchased the car. Thank you CARFAX!”

“I had made the decision to purchase a 2012 Ford Fusion and my wife suggested that I take a look at CarFax before signing off on it. I'm glad that I did! The car was originally from a northern state and upon further inspection, I found a very rusty undercarriage. That was really good for us in the end. We found a 2012 Ford Taurus Limited with lower mileage for a far better price and a very good CarFax report! Thank you for your help!”

“Was looking and saving for a truck for about 4 yrs now and had found one that I liked. Well when buying a vehicle that's entering into your hard earned money, and their not cheap, you have to look at it as don't judge that book buy it's cover, you need to know what's inside. CAR-FAX gave me the inside story and the confidence to buy it, other wise you'll never know if your in for a bad deal. Thanks CAR-FAX”

“I recently went to a large car auction with a used car dealer friend of mine in PA, I watched many cars roll over the auction block and saw one in particular IK wanted but did not win the but had written down the vin. A week later for giggles I ran a Car Fax on that car and saw it was at a new car dealer near me, I went to the dealer saw, test drove and bought the very same car I looked at a week earlier at the auction. If not for Car Fax and the great info on it, not just the damage stuff I would not have found what seems like a meant to be car I now own and love!”

“i was set to buy a 2009 Sienna VAN for my family. i found one from a private owner with an unbeliavable price tag and was almost closing out on the deal when i decided to do a final check on Carfax. my findings almost ran me crazy. Car had a rebuild title, categorized as lemon and was involved in a flood. I am so happy i was able to get this information. i finally got another VAN though a few hundreds more expensive but with a brilliant history and i am very satisfied.”

“I would highly recommend Carfax to someone who is willing to buy a used Car. I was about to buy a nice Car last year. But when I checked the Carfax report, I stopped buying. There was a major accident which the owner didn't mention. Thanks to Carfax!”

“Carfax report was purchased to assist in selling my cad. It didn't help, it made it harder to sell because the report contained 2 errors. First, the report questioned the mileage because someone had reported the mileage incorrectly during the life of the car. Secondly, the report indicated that the car was owned by 2 people. This is also incorrect. I relocated to a new state, and when I transferred the registration to the new state, car fax erroneously reported a new owner. Hence, I will never trust a car fax report in the future.”

“I was going to buy a car and and after checking carfax report found, that car was involved in 2 accidents which was not mentioned by owner despite i asked him directly so carfax saved me from buying a lemon”

“The Dodge Dakota I purchased had more problems the I had anticipated. The Carfax was a positive report on the Vehicle. After purchase the drive shaft was broken and the shock absorber was disconnected from its support. The dashboard lights still don't work.”

“This was the first time that I purchased a car after getting a Car Fax report. I have always been amazed at how much information is available on each car and the variety of information. I am so glad that the report tells the potential buyer, not only information regarding regular maintenance but also if there has been any major damage to the car or major repairs, as well as recall issues. After having driven the Ford Fusion, I knew that it was a very good car and it appeared to have been well maintained. But I needed to know for sure and so I purchased a Car Fax, actually I bought a multiple package. I was so pleased to see all the records that were available for this car and it confirmed that this car was very well maintained and cared for. There was no doubt in my mind that I needed to purchase this car and so I did. I do't believe that I would have done so if I had not obtained a Car Fax report. I know that for any future car purchased I will always do a CarFax report.”

“I think it's necessary to remind the potential consumer every once in a while of the long standing rule: buyer beware; that's especially critical if one is purchasing a used vehicle. Knowledge is power when it comes to negotiating and finalizing a purchase of a pre-owned vehicle. It's a sad commentary, but there is a number of morally bankrupt individuals out there who will take advantage of those who do not secure the requisite information on the vehicle they seek. Car Fax provides all of the necessary information to either proceed with the purchase process or avoid it. It's a great tool!”

“I found a car online by owner and it was the exact type of car I had been looking for. I did not want to loss the deal and did not have time to take a mechanic with me, so my next best bet was to check it out with Carfax. What was reported on on the Carfax report was exactly like what the seller was telling me. I felt secure enough to buy the car on the spot and I have not regretted it. Not only did I get an accurate report, but the follow up emails alerted me to a possible recall on my vehicle that I don't know if I would have been notified being a second owner. I am very satisfied with Carfax and well worth the price of the membership.”
