Carfax is awesome..I was shopping for a newer family suv and carfax helped me check out the vehicles history and gave me peace of mind...I love that I can use it anywhere...on my cell and desktop or laptop. ..it's that easy and it saved me the headache of not knowing what I was buying and or buying a lemon..so for that....THANKS CARFAX!!!!

I live in Vancouver BC, there is a provincial monopoly for car insurance ( ICBC) you must purchase this insurance to be on the roads legally. There is however an allowance after purchasing this insurance to have a second vehicle: in the same name and insurance values: for vintage vehicles(50 years with street legal modifications), vehicles that were produced 15,000 or less and vehicles 25 years and older that meet requirements. The last is why I employed CARFAX, they gave me the proof that I required to have this extremely reduced insurance price for an owner that is classified as a collector car. This vehicle must be in excellent condition viewed by pictures, no rust , dents or interior defects. I will pay $250.00 for this insurance while my premium for 1st car is $1,400.00

Carfax was invaluable in helping me select my present car, a 2001 Dodge Intrepid R/T with a 3.5V6,, by showing me the history of servicing and that it did not have issues such as accidents and mileage problems. It is a valuable tool for a reasonable price and can prevent many costly expenses and problems. Thank you Carfax.....you provide a good and valuable service and worth the fee you charge. sincerely, mel cooperman

I recently purchased a 2010 Subaru Forester from a GM dealership. Not being a Subaru dealership, I was leery about how much they knew about Subarus. I knew I wouldn't be getting a certified preowned car because the Subaru wasn't a vehicle they sell, so I needed to be sure that I was getting a vehicle that had a clean history. There was no place to turn but Carfax. The dealership offered a carfax report free and that report made the difference between me buying the car and not buying it. Thanks Carfax.

I was on my way to look at a car, and it was over an hour away from where I live. I pulled a carfax from my phone. The car had been in 2 wrecks according to carfax. Saved me a trip and regret.

Went to purchase a car that the owner said had 104,000 mile. Drove the car and everything seems to check out just fine. We worked out a price for the car. Just prior to signing we decided to run a Car Fax report and discovered that the car was last sold 15 months before with 194,500 mile. The car was sold a prior time to that with 165,000 miles. So the car really had many more miles on it than stated by the current owner. When we presented the Car Fax to the owner they said that there must have been a mistake. We walked away.

I was glad car fox has a list of items to check before buying. It ensures you don't forget the not so obvious things to check in the heat of the moment. I traveled 3 hours away to purchase so I asked questions up front which led to finding out the radio didn't work and she adjusted the price accordingly. I also reminded her to bring the title. She didn't have it but she did get the proper forms from DMV filled out and signed prior to me traveling there.

I found a used SUV in the paper and called the guy to get some more information on it. He told me that it was in perfect condition and had never been wrecked. There was no vin # in the paper, but it had a picture of the license plate. So, I decided to run the plate on car fax and I am so glad that I did! I found out that the vehicle had been totaled in Arkansas a few months earlier. Thanks Car Fax!! Chuck-Texas

My son bought a nice 2010 Camry from a mechanic. When he got the Title, it listed the car as Flood Damaged. I got the Car Fax for my son and saw that the Flood Damage Title was given to the First Buyer from the original Dealer. There was no further indication of any problems in the remaining Car Fax maintenance reports. I had my son tell the mechanic and call the dealer. My son got no joy from talking to the dealer - no floods were recorded so, we could only speculate vis a vis open windows or some other such nonsense. However, because of the Car Fax and because the mechanic is reputable, my son was offered his money back or to return the car and get the next best Camry the mechanic bought at auction or the mechanic would refund his profit of about $500.00 to my son if my son wanted to keep the car; plus the mechanic would keep in mind any repairs needed if the "flood damage" issue ever came up. My son elected to keep the car. Thank you Car Fax

I had been looking for a used car for a while. I thought I had found one, but something just kept telling me no. I called the individual up and asked for the VIN number so I could do a car fax report. I had been putting it off, telling myself it was too expensive. When I got the VIN number, I immediately ran a car fax report, andit showed that the vehicle had been wrecked and totaled. It showed that the vehicle had been rebuilt and was had a junk title. I am so thankful I ran that car fax report. A couple of days later I did find a car. Thanks car fax!

I was about to buy a car and The guy the was selling it had sold us another vehicle and it is really awesome which build some sort of trust based relationship with this guy. I called him when I was looking for a car and he told he has this 2007 Camry that's clean title.the carfox told me that there was a minor damage in this t which I didn't mind. I loved it and the price was reasobnable. We setup a date to go to the SOS and finish the paper work. I called the insurance company 10 minutes before before the appointment and they were asking for the Vin number I didn't have with me at the moment so I went into carfox to get it. Furtenately I opened the carfox report and I found that he changed the title into salvage just after we agreed on everything. I swear to god that I was 10 minutes close to waste my Money on that car so thank you very much carfox. It was the best $50 I ever spent.
