“I paid for one CARFAX report. That's all I wanted. I have received an outrageous number of solicitations and emails since then. I am sick of CARFAX. Leave me alone, I will contact you when I want to use your services again. Because of the solicitation, that will be never. Leave me the f*** alone. I have opted out of your services already. Go away. Go away CARFAX.”

“ITS Very Important to have before buying a vehicle its awesome I used carfax to check records and I used for my friend he always going to work shop to repair he recently buyed used van on his van mileage it say 75kmiles but its not I checked on carfax its 175kmiles he buyed van without carfax now he is in garage always so use carfax was great”

“I recently sold my 1994 Acura Legend within hours after putting it up for sale. Although 20+ years old the car was in excellent condition and I priced it accordingly. The buyer was naturally very cautious and had lots of questions. When I showed him the CarFax and provided details on the maintenance history, he recognized the value and made an offer above what I'd anticipated. A win-win all around thanks to CarFax.”

“I was shopping for a used car for my son who was graduating from high school. He will need a car to get to college. I had a budget and wanted to stick to it. Therefore, it was important that the car have no major issues. The only real way to tell is to run a car fax. I went to look at 4 different vehicles and there was one I really liked, but I waited to make an offer until after the car fax. It turned out it had more owners than the story I was given, and in addition, it it had odometer issues and more. Needless to say i was happy I didn't waste my money on that car. The one I did buy checked out nicely. I;d say the $49.99 was a small price to pay t save me loosing thousands.”

“I was leaning towards making an offer on a truck I saw and decided to come back the next day after I ran the VIN # on Carfax. I made the right decision...not only was the seller's ownership timeline off, but the last reported mileage was over 80,000 miles above the promoter reading. Thanks Carfax! Michael”

“Anyone wants to buy a used car ,you MUST BUY A CARFAX yourself ,do not even ask car dealer or owner for CARFAX ,car dealer offers not complete CARFAX report or a fake one sometimes. I bought a 02 Honda CRV from AA Auto Sales in Skokie IL ,owner Asim Ali ,phone # 847 902 3898 in Fed 2014 . He sold us a 2002 CRV had 61000 miles . He showed me a fake or not complete CARFAX report ,his CARFAX report has 61000 miles ,the car had 161,0000 miles in last auction ,he committed ODOMETER FRAUD roll the miles back 100,000 miles . We believe his CARFAX report ,bought the CRV ,after we bought it ,the CRV had problems a week later ,we bought a CARFAX report then found out he showed us a fake CARFAX report and committed ODOMETER FRAUD roll the miles back 100,000 miles . Mr Ali wont give us any money back ,so we are suing him right now . We should buy a CARFAX report before we even test drive the car . We bought a Honda Pilot later ,I bought a CARFAX report and ask dealer for a CARFAX report ,they are the same ,so we bought the Honda Pilot .”

“I am so greatful for the very detailed history that CarFax offered me! For example, it tells you how many owners and who the owners are, how many miles, and if there is sny reports on accidents and salvaged title. I am really glad that they offered a one time affordable fee for unlimited reports by running the licence plate, and several reports by vin for 6 months.”

“My son told me about a 2009 BMW X5 with 17,000 miles on it that was for sale by a car dealer. The price listed was a great deal. I called the dealer and asked about it. I was told a lady had purchased it new and it had a bad smell in it. They could not get the smell out and BMW bought it back from her. My son did not believe the story and said to get a car fax report. Thank God I did and found out it had been taken back for numerous problems and was listed as a LEMON!! Car Fax saved me $30,000.00. “Car fax is so incomplete and over priced I will not use it again. I checked my own car. I bought it outright in 2002 new. Carfax said it had lean against it and only 11 service records. It has been dealer serviced by Honda every 3000 miles since new. It now has 155000 on it. That's the only thing it got right.”

“I was buying a car off a friend. Since I met my friend I had seen the car many times and it looked flawless, it was low mileage and apparently very well maintained so I figured I didn't need to get a carfax. A little before buying it I decided to invest in the carfax just to be 100% sure that this was the car for me, and am I glad I did, the carfax highlighted so much information that I was not expecting to find, it told me how many miles each owner put on the car and the carfax confirmed that the super low mileage on the odometer was the actual mileage on the car.”

“Carfax saved my son and I from making a bad deal. The car looked to be in excellent shape. it drove well, no leaks, engine noises etc... The seller was making claims that "it had always been in the family" had no issues etc... and we were about to close. Then I did a quick Carfax check and found out that the car had had 4 owners and that there was potentially at least 70k miles missing off of the odometer. We made a hasty retreat and thank Carfax for saving us from making a bad deal.”

“It helped me sell my car with confidence to tell potential buyers over the phone that I had the carfax and there were no accidents,etc. There were a few who asked and I could show them the carfax report. It's a good tool for sellers and buyers. Thankyou”
