“beware, carfax doesn't always show the accident history and you can find those on auto check report, not the best, and also super expansive, what a great way to make money, good thing that they have refund policy, so if you don't like the report, I strongly suggest you to get your money back”

“I bought a 1996 Toyota Camry from the estate of a family friend. It had a rebuilt/salvage title, which surprised me. Vehicle was involved in minor accident in 2010 and fell victim to the 75% rule--if cost to repair exceeds 75% of book value, car must get a rebuilt/salvage title. At time, car was worth $2400 and had damage a little over $1800, which is relatively minor. Car Fax report showed that damage was minor, no airbag deployment, and major maintenance performed by selling dealer, such as timing belt replacement, etc. Car Fax took worry out of purchase.”

“Someone said that the car I was looking at was involved in an accident. I pulled the CAR Fax report and there was no accidents on it and as a matter of fact it had all of the cars maintenance on it and showed that the car had been well maintained. I purchased the car and am glad that I did. Well worth the money for the Car Fax report for the peace of mind that it gave me with my purchase. I would recommend that anyone getting ready to purchase a used car that they sign up and get the car fax on it first.”

“I once wanted to buy a used car: 2011 Nissan versa. it seems good, however, when I checked its VIN by Carfax, it was collised on the back. So luckily that I check carfax before I buy this car. Johnson”

“Car fax saved me from buying a car that was too good to be tue. I was looking for my sons first car. Needed something safe and reliable. I ended up using car fax to buy a Toyota Prius one owner perfect condition for under book value. Thanks car fax. I now use car fax to report everything on my cars.”

“I had looked up autos with Carfax and found records for car that showed car owned by elderly lady. Car had around 85,000 mile on it and was several years old but excellent condition. Went to dealer, drove car, saw no issues, ran well, body and interior excellent. So ended up wrote check for car same day. My son is driving this car to work and drives 150 mile a day. This car has close to 200,000 mile on it and still is servicing him very well. With Carfax I felt very confident to purchase car. Otherwise I would have been more reserve in buying auto. “I'M WRITING THIS IN HOPES THAT SOMEONE DOESN'T GET CAUGHT IN THE MANY HOLES THAT BEFALL AN HONEST BUYER WHEN YOU ARE DEALING WITH PERSONAL PURCHASE. I CONTRACTED A DEAL FOR A 1989 EDDIE BAUER BRONCO THAT HAD BEEN ADVERTISED AS A 1997. I AM NEW TO CALIFORNIA AND DID NOT RESEARCH THE DMV LAWS PERTAINING TO BUYING A VEHICLE, I WAS USED TO THE EASTERN WAY. I PAID THE MONEY ASKED, AND RECEIVED A BUNCH OF PAPERWORK (TITLE, SMOG, ETC.,) THAT YOU COULD USE FOR THE TOILET. I GOT THE HISTORY OF THE VEHICLE THRU CARFAX, AND WITH IT PLUS MY PERSONAL DOCUMENTS, WILL HAVE NO TROUBLE IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT. DOCUMENTATION IS VITAL TO PROOF. RUN THE VIN TRU CARFAX B4 U BUY.”

“II bought the car. Then thought I should run a car fax on it after the fact. Glad I did because it showed an odometer reading of 201,000 miles at the last registration and I bought it with an odometer reading 100,000 miles on it. I got my money back and the gentleman who sold me the car should have gotten his money back too. Car fax saved the day with documentation that wasn't otherwise available to me. Saved me spending $3k on a car I wouldn't have been able to register. Thanks Car Fax!”

“I met initially with REGGIE BENSON. Reggie was busy but made sure I had a chance to test drive the vehicle with JOHNATHAN. I came a third time for a highway test drive with WILL. Everyone made me feel appreciated. it was their way if saying "HEY, we are in the car business so what ever you need" we will create the opportunity... Thats exactly what this team work venture did. Even the gentlemen that help us close the deal was very professional. I liked the "DIVERSITY" i saw what I 1st entered the door. CARFAX mean BUSINESS!.... A++++ on the no haggle policy. i researched the pricve and even discussed it with my credit union. The PRICE WAS MORE THAN FAR... I also got follow up call after the purchase. Thanks GUYS... You will be seeing me again. PROMISE...”

“bought a 2005 dodge cumings diesel 2500 slt last year. Before I bought the truck I ran a car fax on it and it come back with no accidents or any red flags in the history report, so I made the purchase. Almost one year later, I pulled the report again, and now car fax showed a total loss in the history. I contacted car fax and inquired about this, the representative said that there was a police report filed that said the truck was involve in an accident and they had to put that on the car fax history. She also asked me if I had printed a report of the car fax when I pulled it. I did not, but, the car fax representative knew that a report was pulled about the time I purchased my truck, but said she did not know what that report said (Ofcourse not). Needless to say if I had that information I would have not purchased that truck either.”

“I chose to look up info on my sister's car since I needed to know its value after it was in an accident last september. I bought a one time carfax report. The report showed no information even after 6 months had passed. It was a waste of money and not reliable. It said it had several reports, but it ended up being the 2 dealerships and nothing more. Unreliable for info!”

“We drove a 2003 Mazda which had Florida plates on it. The private seller told me that it was a "Florida" car bought from a doctor. Living in the Northeast, Florida cars are considered salt corrosion free and thus more valuable. He also told me the car was never in an accident. After the test drive, I was sold. As a very routine check I pullled out my Ipad and asked for the VIN. I used one of 5 Car Faxes that I purchased to check prospective cars' histories. To my amazement the car was from Michigan, spent 2 months in Florida, was totalled several years earlier, and my new found "buddy" bought it at a used car lot. PASS! Moral of the story......never go looking to buy a used car without a few Car Faxes hanging out of your back pocket!”
