“Despite what was booked - no meet and greet, no automatic car, very old and damaged car, extra fee for out of hours return, no apology and just ignored 3 emails of complaint. Avoid, cheap and "nasty"”
“Sadly my experience is the same as many others,. In summary , no car , an attempt by the “ cheap” hire ( Easirent Rent a Car) company to double the cost by trying to charge for insurance which costs more than the hire (900 pounds, ) despite me having taken an insurance excess policy via CarJet.com , and then subsequently try to hire a more expensive car to me. Result after 2 visits and about 5hrs wasted time no car and 50 pounds for Taxi fares.
Attempted to contact CarJet .com by phone around 30 times in one day everytime got a line busy message and cut off, no email contact in their website .
So I contacted my credit card provider to raise a dispute as they took over 900 pounds for no car !!
Avoid like the plague !!”
“I hired a car from CarJet in Dublin for 8th until the 13th Oct 2021 but had to cancel the day before because of illness have emailed several times without hearing a word back,it states on their advert full refund but they sent me £10 + which I will return, I would never deal with JETCAR or recommend them to anyone, be aware people”
“Please think twice before renting with them and read more reviews. I rented a car in Crete-Greece in June 2021. They took 1500 euros from my credit card that was supposed to be a holding deposit, but they actually withdrew the money from my account immediately. they said they will refund me when I return the car. When they were supposed to refund me after returning the vehicle, they simply did not reply to me anymore to any of my emails or calls. They never refunded me the money. I only just managed to get my money back after 4 months only by disputing the charge with my bank. If you ever rent from them, keep hold of your contract as this is what saved me to be able to prove to the bank that I had a right to be refunded when I disputed the charge. CarJet is a complete scam and I really don't recommend it to anyone.”
“SCAMERS I rent a car In Poznan, we where late about an 2 hours to collect the car- paid in advanced full rental plus insurance for 2 weeks rental, they said at desk, that we are late so our booking is cancelled, we contacted carjet - no response, they said because we are late, we will not get back any money- the worst scam ever!!!!!!!!we paid 380 euro for it!!!!!!AVOID”

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I was told I could drop back the car I was renting after hours at the price of a small fee which I was happy to pay as I was going to a wedding 2 hours away from my hotel. When I arrived to pick up the car the morning of the wedding and was handing over the money for the out of hour drop off - I was then told that this service was not available. Due to having a very early flight out the next morning, I was not able to take the car rental at all and had to make other transport arrangements which meant I was late for the wedding. I tried getting a full refund and contacted Carjet customer services more than 5 times and they refuse to acknowledge my claim nor bother to even respond via email.
Avoid this company at all costs.”
“This is a fraudulent business. Hired a car and paid for car and insurance. They sent a voucher. A bit later they sent an email saying the car was no longer available but they had found me an alternative and would refund the money for the car hire and I would pay on arrival at the new place. when I turned up at the alternative, it was 20 percent more expensive; the car was inferior (no air conditioning) and the it was not an "in-terminal" rental. WORSE, when I checked my credit card some weeks later, I did not even get my refund! All my emails to customer service have been unanswered. I have just raised a dispute with my credit card - they can handle it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Wish I had checked them out beforehand.”
“What a scam. I paid in full for a car which they never provided. When I arrived in Poland the Global Desk pick-up point informed me that carjet had cancelled the car on me, this is a scam. I don’t think there ever was a car in the first place. I lost £70 for nothing!!!”

I would prefer to give this "company" less than one star but that option is not there.
I travelled to Newcastle from Dublin on Monday September 20.
I had booked a car via Carjet from Newcastle Airport for September 21. The instructions were to proceed to the Hertz desk at 10am. The Hertz desk was closed and had been so since the beginning of the Covid lockdown.
On phoning the Hertz contact number, I was informed that they had no Carjet booking and no cars available.
Luckily, I managed to hire a car from another rental company.
I have made numerous attempts to have my money refunded through contact by email. All these attempts led to nothing.
I have contacted the Spanish Embassy in Dublin along with public representatives to highlight my experience of this "company's" trading practices.
Carjet also operates as DoYouSpain.
The name says it all!
Certainly an outfit to be avoided at all costs.”
“I had one good experience this year and one bad. Car jet cancelled my second booking and sent me an email saying I had cancelled the car 24 hours before my holiday in Malta.
They said I could rebook the same car but with 24 hours notice it would now cost an extra €400 because it was short notice. Got a bus from the airport for €2 instead.”
“Big warning for this joke company! That just robbed us of 500 euros! We went to pick up a car and when we arrived the company would not accept debit cards only credit. This was not on the terms of use when we booked but it was on the voucher so they just kept the money. Instead of helping us to rebook or something wish we wanted. They said they couldn’t not move the money to a new booking just kept the money!!!! This is outrageous!! A good service minded company would help to rebook!!! Stay away from this company!!!’”
“They are crooks, and when you ask them to refund the scam insurance they charge which is then not valid at the car company they accidentally cut off the phone call.

“It's a SCAM. Booked through Carjet. Went to pick up from Easirent. Jumped through extra hoops on ID. Bring DL, Passport, plus 2 other proofs of address people then either take out another insurance on top of the one we've already taken, platinum noless, or leave a £1500 deposit. I've taken it on the nose because Carjet won't refund after the pickup time which is obviously now past. What a racket, shameful”
“The worst company Iever tried! They took my money for the rental but I never had theirs car, was trough Global Car rental. We arrived in Greece 17.th of September, no one was waiting for us, after two hours when we luckily called to the office, they came with different car types, we had a stroller, which hardly get in, anyway we decided we gonna took the car, we were tired and our small baby was crying, they could not took our credit cards VISa, MAStERCARD, so we decided to cancel the car and rent the car from airports company. The Global car lady told me it will be any problem to get my money back…. It is,they didn’t responded for my emails, did not answered my phones, didn’t refund my money for whole week…. Nothing, so please be careful with this company and do not rent the car with them.”
“Do not use CarJet as they charge double what they quote when you pick up your car. I was charged for late pick up at 8pm and a senior driver fee when the booking stated that this was free for the car I booked. The car I got from KWL Malta was old with a high millage and worn tyres. The headlamp plastic was tarnished & misty and driving from the airport to our hotel was very dangerous in the dark. The following morning we found the car had a puncture. KWL fixed this quickly but charged 25 euros to do this. If the tyres had been robust this puncture would not have happened. It is impossible to contact Carjet and any complaints are not answered. DO NOT BOOK A CAR THROUGH CARJET!”
